"Hey, wait for me!" Rocher called out as he picked up his own pace. He couldn't remember the last time he had run someplace, and he didn't care much for the sinking feeling that running through snow gave his feet. He learned quickly that if you kept your steps light, you wouldn't sink as much, so he was soon running awkwardly but quickly. "I hope if there's a kitchen, whoever owns it'll let us use it."

Bazooka hadn't even thought of that. "Well, they just have to don't they? I guess they don't... maybe if we tell them we will make some for them too? Or maybe we should bring something with us?"

Rocher grinned as he continued running like a wind-up toy. "I think that would be okay; people are usually pretty agreeable when you agree to share with them. And what could we bring anyway? Only thing around here is snow and.....more snow. But, if they still want something, I bet we could find out just what they want."
He rounded a small bend of pine trees and saw the source of the smoke; a log cabin standing quite prettily in the middle of a clearing, looking warm and inviting. Despite that, Rocher felt a little nervous. "I suppose.....we should go up and knock."

Bazooka stopped just short of the little house. "Yeah, I guess we should." He then slowly walked over to the door and put up his paw to knock. Now that they were there he was a bit scared. Still, he didn't want to show that to his new friend. So, he then knocked. "Maybe no one will be home."

Rocher chuckled. "If no one was home, then we wouldn't be able to use their kitchen anyway; I don't want to end up breaking into someone's house; that would be quite rude." He started suddenly as the door slowly swung open, but no one was behind it. "H-hello?" He carefully eased his upper half into the door, looking into a dark but cozy-looking cabin interior, with rugs, antler-chandeliers, hanging herbs, and other things one would expect to find in a cabin in the woods, except people. "I don't think anyone's here...." Rocher walked deeper into the cabin. "Well, at least we didn't technically break in....what say we go find the kitchen?"

Bazooka looked in after Rocher did. It looked kinda scary inside. Still, he figured it must be okay if the other male was willing to go inside. "Okay, where would it be?" He walked into the living room and sniffed a little looking for the smell of food.

Sniffing the air, Rocher walked around the living room, trying to sniff out any food scents. Other than the almost nonexistant smell of the herbs, he didn't smell anything. "That's strange.....the place seems like there were people here not too long ago, but I don't smell any food; like no one's been here for ages. Anything cooking should have lingered for at least a little while....."
He saw a corridor heading off to the left of the living room and followed it to a door that stood ajar. Nudging it open, his eyes bugged out and he gasped. Before him was a huge kitchen, like what you'd find at a restaurant and looking way too big for that end of the cabin. Everything looked spotless and a large window above the sink looked out on the snowy world outside. "Bazooka! Come look at this place!" he called over his shoulder.

Bazooka heard this friend and walked over to him. He looked inside and smiled. "Wow, that's a kitchen. Do you think this is some place special or something?" By special he meant restaurant or something of that nature. "I've never seen anything like it." He almost didn't want to go in as it looked to special for them.

"I don't know; it sure looks like it's meant to cook A LOT of food though." Rocher walked up to a nearby pantry and nudged it open. He gasped as he saw the shelves literally stuffed with food; cans, bags, jars, boxes, most of them were for things he had never heard of. "Look at this!" he said as he left the pantry door open and nudged open another one, which contained tiny jar after tiny jar of spices. "We could probably make ANYTHING we wanted!"

Bazooka walked over to where Rocher was and looked in. His eyes grew wide and his mouth fell open...and drooled a little. He hadn't realized how hungry had had gotten playing in the snow. "Wow, what should we start with? What do you know how to make? Is there a cookbook?" He said as he then looked for a cookbook somewhere.

Rocher looked around expectantly, but didn't see a cookbook anywhere on the spotless kitchen counters. "Huh; that's weird. Maybe there's a shelf somewhere that has them...." He began to wander around the kitchen, looking at the shelves, but finding nothing other than food.
He suddenly noticed a small handle sticking out horizontally from the island in the middle of the kitchen. He gave it a small tug and out popped a drawer about as long as the entire island, stacked cover-to-cover with...... "I think I found the cookbooks." oO

Bazooka padded over to Rocher. "Wow... what is this place?" For once he was almost at a lose for words. "Is it magic?" He didn't know, but it sure seemed to have what they needed and in abundance. He then began looking for a chocolate book.

Rocher looked about him with wide eyes. "You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this place WAS magic; I mean, there's nobody here but it's open for us, and this kitchen looks like it could take up the entire rest of the cabin but it doesn't look it from the outside, and I've never seen a kitchen so clean or so stocked with items."
He looked over the cookbooks, selecting one that centred around candy, and opened it. "What shall we make now?"

"Anything sounds good to me." After all this wonderment Bazooka couldn't help but feeling very hungry. He looked over the book with Rocher. "How about you pick something and call out the ingredients and I'll find them?" He figured that was good teamwork.

"Okay!" Hoping he would be able to choose something, Rocher scanned the book, feeling his mouth moisten at all the wonderful pictuers and descriptions. There were even a few things that he had never heard of, like strawberry soup. Figuring that they had better start out with something relatively simple, he found a recipe for chocolate-raspberry truffles that seemed easy enough.
He set the book down and began calling out the ingredients. "Okay, we're going to need heavy whipping cream (why's it heavy, I wonder?), chocolate morsels (I assume they mean chips), seedless raspberry preserves, almond extract, and ground almonds."
