That's funny, because my parents are EXTATIC about being called Grandma and Grandpa. It was funny because Lissa can say Nana and I was trying to get her to call my mom nana, and my mom says. "Why am I nana?" And I told her, because Lissa can say nana and if we get that to be her word for you she can say your name like she says papa. Why don't like nana? and my mom pursed her lips and shook her head no. "I'll just wait until she can say Grandma."

My parents are young as well. They are both 41. But hey that's THEIR fault and not mine that they are young, because I waited until I was 20 to have my baby. It's that my mom was 17 when she got pregnant with me that makes them young.

But as my dad says "I can wrestle and run around with my grandkids, I'm not some old guy in a rocking chair."

Yea, my parents were young when they had me too, my mom was 17, and my dad was 21.......... and now I'm 16 and having my first (mom is 33 right now and dad is 37)

awww i cried too and was worried also when i first told my mom..but i'm soo glad i told her because she's been there for me, we go baby shopping and she's real supportive..i'm very glad 'cause i thought she'd be really really mad at me and hate me..she was just disappointed..but now she's happy and is excited about being a grandma ^_^

ya, thats good
but in my house my mom claims that thats a bad word "grandma" (she gonna be 33 [turns 34 2 weeks after baby is born] and a gradma) they are excited about the baby comming and all, we have done lots of baby shopping (hey, let me know if you need any more 0-3 month old clothes, cuz by the time your due mine should have grown out of thoes)

awww..hehe my mom says the same exact thing..she says i'm not grandma...i'm auntie LOL..my mom is about to be 33 *i think* haha...yah my mom is completely excited about the baby and so am i ^_^ We've somewhat done some baby shopping..we got some stuff ^_^ ahhh...i could possibly use some more baby clothes...i seriously could use more...hehe...so PM me okie?

yea, we have more than enought baby clothes, but my mom does want me to keep most of them for the next baby
so yea, i could probally get away with giving away a few outfits, but not too many
*my parents say that the only time any1 is allowed to call them grandma or grandpa is when caitlin(my babies name) can talk, and she says it

Hehe yah only a few would be fine ^_^ hehe..that works..*giggles* but..i'm not sure also because ur's is a girl and we have tons of uni-sex clothes for my baby since we don't know if it will be a girl or a boy yet..not till my next appt probably.

alright ladies... two purple blankets coming up Kristi I'll make yours first since your baby is almost here. Also that way chesire, you might have a chance to find out what your having and if it's a boy I can still switch to yellow or something. Ofcousre my husbands baby blanket was purple and lacey, they didn't do an ultrasound for his mom so who ever mad it just guessed. But it was perfact for passing on to our daughter. However I will not be using it for a boy. Yippy I'm really excited! *zooms off to get purple yarn*

Tetravus's Mom has already told us the she wants to be called Nana once we have kids. (We don't have kids yet and aren't pregnant yet; at least we don't think we are.) Of course, she's the one who asks if we "have something to tell them" anytime something could be construed as a sign of pregnancy. It's kind of funny. xd

my parents (or my boyfriends parents) never yet had the chance to have the disire to do so........ they never even thought about being grandparents b4 we told them that we were having a baby (but then agian we are teens) but after they got used to the fact that they were going to be grandparents his mom told us that she wanted to be Ganny

Granny how cute. Wow so you only have 13 days left Kristi good luck, I hear walking can help get labor going. I had to be induced way before my due date with my daughter so I get a little nervse that I'm going to have to wait to go into labor this time. Are you all ready to have that little one? It's so exciting.

Also thanks for the car seat addvice I hadtotally forgotten that the convertable ones don't lay down. I swear being pregnant has turned my brain to mush. Sometimes I walk around the house and can't remember what I'm doing. Or I go to get Sascha a diaper and come back without it and don't realize until I see her naked little tushie fly by. It's worse this time then last, but maybe it's 'cause last time I had my husband here to do everthing and I did have a kid already. Or maybe you get dummber with each pregnancy... help it's draining my brain! gonk
