"I still wish I could fly." Kaimi said, finishing off her own cocoa. "Maybe... maybe sometime you could take me again? It was really cool. If you don't mind and all..." She added hastily. She didn't want to seem like she was trying to take advantage. Taking both their cups, she rinsed them in the sink and dried them, putting them back in the cupboard so that no one would even know she'd had company. Until Naomi found semi-dirty cups along with the clean ones. "If you'll take me flying I'll... uh... teach you to dance?" She doubted he'd care to learn, though. But still.

Surprisingly, Casca said: "I'll take you up on that," thoughtfully, as though he really did think it was a good bargain. "We'll do a swap, okay?"
He cupped one hand to the window, looking outside. The snow was falling harder; would be falling thickly before long. "I should probably get going," he said, "but I'll hold you to that, all right?"

"Really?" Kaimi beamed and the scent of flowers that surrounded her grew noticeably stronger. She clapped her hands together a little. "I'll see you around, then. And fly safe, okay? Don't get lost or stuck in the snow or anything..." She wrapped a couple cookies in a napkin and handed them to him. "Thanks, Cascati. I had fun tonight."

"Au revoir." He put the napkin with the cookies in his pocket; he mock-saluted her, winking a little in her direction, before flicking open the window and neatly squirming his way through it -- he was pretty good at squirming for a boy with so many gargoyle extras. With one last wave at Kaimi, he sauntered into the yard and disappeared with a suspicious crunching.
