-kAMEkAZE-v that isnt true. a good arcane mage with the same gear as a frost mage will get trucked by the arcane one.
Arcane mages have terrible survivability, being nuked by melee classes in seconds, frost have far superior kiting abilities against melee classes.
So basically, arcane mages are good against frost mages, frost mages are good against everything else.

The Mule Of Max i know and i don't even have a mage. frostfire talents give it +150% raw crit damage bonus (meaning crits hit for 2.25 times normal damage). crit always wins out in situations where it is actually giving you pretty much extra spell damage just for critting. more crit chance, more overall damage no matter what.

just found out what you should pump for each spec
Arcane=hit and spellpower
Fire=hit and crit
Frost=hit and haste
arcane needs spellpower to hit harder to compensate for high mana cost
fire needs crit to compensate for long caste time
frost needs haste to compensate for lower damage output

now that was private server, frost mages might be different, but frost mages aren't all that good, now arcane/frost are good. as you have icy veins, i mean, how hard is it to be a rogue? warriors aren't even a threat to me. Mages get ******** by druids, well, feral ones. xD

i just hit 80 yesterday and respecced to FFB and im ripping everything up biggrin im not even geared yet and im getting 2800 DPS easy. my favorite spell by far is living bomb. yesterday i 2 shot a 77 DK. they were mid-flight and i let off a pyroblast, laid off a living bomb, and watched as they went a bit further, exploded, and fell dead. it was histarical xd
FYI, a funny thing is that living bomb dismounts people when it goes off, sending them falling to their deaths biggrin

Perosnally I am, always have been, and always will be, a frost mage, a fun spec as frost to Screw with ANY caster class including Arc mages is to take 7 points and throw em in Arcane for the 80 points of resist, locks have a hard time fearing me XD
7/0/64 is my spec ^^
