Quick summary of points:
- It's difficult to get everyone online at the same time. A single meeting probably isn't possible.
- So, we could create a thread where people post about issues whenever they can.
- Or, we could create a thread only when an issue comes up.
- Also, what about holding multiple Council sessions to accommodate people in different timezones?
Suggested uses of the Council/Senate/Meeting thread:
1. to bring up questions and concerns (use a separate thread to make polls for votes on discussed issues)
2. to discuss taskforces
3. to hold dubbing ceremonies
4. to discuss very important issues (like?)

I mentioned that it seems all the functions of a Council thread have already been fulfilled. Let me go point by point. . .
1. Questions: seem to be taken care of.
- Members PM their questions to Captain/Crew. If they are of general guild interest, they are posted in the You Asked: sticky.
- If the Crew has questions, they know to PM/ask me.
- If I have questions for the guild, I just post a new topic.
- Questions can always be asked in The Update sticky, this General Discussion & Debate thread, or new topics.
Concerns: can follow the same route as questions.
2. Taskforces: Well. . . We don't seem to have much we can do against the Fire Trickster. However, I can create a Taskforces thread, asking for suggestions. In that new thread, we could assign tasks to the Divisions, who could discuss/post results in their own threads.
3. Dubbing Ceremonies: Heh, we just dub new members in the Meet 'n Greet or the Favorite Elements thread.
4. Discussing Issues: Er, that's what we're doing now, yes?
I could change this into three separate threads: Guild Discussion, Elemental Discussion & Debate, and General Discussion (for non-guild/non-element topics that don't have or need their own threads).
Your thoughts?

Hmm... my question is, are we really going to use them? We seem to do most elemental and general discussion on the Elements thread, which is probably a good place to keep it because every time someone posts there it acts as a bump for the thread.

Also about dubbing, is it done yourself, or do you do it Ayeali?

Ragenarok Also about dubbing, is it done yourself, or do you do it Ayeali? Dubbing traditions are decided by each division. wink Typically, a fellow division member dubs new members. (In the Wind Knights, for example, any Wind-lover can dub another. Rythen was my Wind-lover. heart ) And often, it's the division's leader who offers a dub. (In the Aqua Division, Kadirva is working on some now.)
Basically: You may ask anyone in CRAFTI to dub you, and then accept or decline the dub they give you.
It's best to provide your dubber with a paragraph of the reasons why you love your chosen element. (What you've posted in the Elements thread and in your Join Request works well.) If your dubber needs more information, they'll ask. 3nodding
It's also possible to dub yourself, should you wish. xd
