I'll do anything in a role-play, I really will. As long as it's OC. >.< I prefer literacy, and I prefer role-playing via PMs, as it's easier to keep track of what is going on. Plus it's private, which means no rude interruptions from inconsiderate people.
I have a couple of characters, but I prefer making new ones for each role-play. After all, half the fun of a role-play is developing the character through the story. Reusing a character gets boring. For me, at least.

(lets see how LITERATE I can be...)
One sunny day in the town park of Breton Town, a simple easy going boy was strolling down the park with a soda in his right hand. Two silluettes observed him from the unseen retches of the shadows.
"So this kid" the slender shadow asked, "just moved here?!"
The bulky shadow had a booming voice with his reply,
"Yes, he surprisingly arrived yesterday to Gaia..."
"Does'n't he know what he's getting into?", retorted the smaller of the two, "He doesn't have a right mind to be strollling around here, a human!"
As the boy arrived to a glisting fountain, he spotted something strange.....
" What is that...?" The curious boy saw behind the fountain a bright reflection of light. "Is that..." he asked, "...a tail?"
The boy tip-toed to the fountain and silently started around it's side...
"................rrrrRRRRR..........", the sudden rumble sent the boy goosebumps. He finally etched across the side of the fountain and sighted a human like animal with wings and a tail crouched on the ground. The boy conjured up his bravery and asked, "hello?"
"RRROOOAAARRR!!!!!" the crouching animal voiced...
At this, the bulky professor stepped into the light, his glasses gleeming, remarked,
"This boy, TAP from what i've heard, has finally seen a resident of Gaia!"
"AAAAAAAHHHH!!!" the boy screamed.
"SSSSssssshhhhh....quiet you!" the animal spoke...
"Wa-....what...wait.....who are you?!"
"A dragon..."
"Bu-...b-but.....you..."
The dragon sat up, and the boy could swear that it was human. "You not a dragon, or are you?"
"I am..."
"THEN WHY DID YOU ROAR?!" the boy said accusingly, "I didn't do anything to you and you scared me!"
"...I droped my ice cream....and got a little.....angry"

P.S. so ya my hope is to start a funny roleplay. I actually did see a DRAGON GIRL! It was funny so I decided to start a story on it wink

I'm just going to copypasta my ad from the Roleplayer's EmporiumRoleplaying Preferences: Harry Potter (all eras), Lovecraft themed RPs (based off his stories), X-Men/schools for the gifted/modern heroes, Star Wars (I prefer the KoTOR era), high school/college/real life stories, steampunk, serial killer weirdness, most Old World of Darkness settings, various alien sci fi business, Fallout...I like lots of things. Ask me, and we'll see! Roleplaying Refuses: Furries, any game where the characters are premade such as "the cheerleader/the loner/the jock/the emokid" , any game where the "plot" consists of "nameoneXnametwo," vampires, and anything else I just plain don't like at the moment. Personal Favourites/Currently Craving: Marauders' Era (god, I'm SUCH a sucker for the First War), and school for the Gifted/Modern heroes/X-Men type stories, Fallout and adventures in space. One-on-One: Yes, but only over PMs. Groups: I prefer ones that aren't too crowded, and that I can easily get involved in the plot. I don't like those HE likes HER but SHE'S into HIM and HE'S gay things at all. But I love free-form stories, and groups with multiple plotlines. Availability: I'm available LOTS. Even when I'm not right in front of my computer, I have Gaia Alerts on my cell phone, so I can come back, post, and go back to whatever it is I'm doing. My name is Bombay. I'm literate plus. I can give from 3-10 paragraphs with 100 words each. I only do male x male or female x female.
I love doing anything that is dark, scary, or questionably moral.
My biggest, and longest lasting craving is Karasu x Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. If anyone can give me a dedicated, literate role play featuring this? I might well sell my soul.
Or buy you a gift, who cares, up to you.
I role play over PMs and messengers, and I'm dedicated to my rps. If I get bored, I tell you. I don't drop people.

I'm a para. style RPer, and I don't do one-line nonsense. I do not RP with people who can not at least attempt proper spelling and grammar, nor do I RP with the typical 'sally-sue' characters.
All of my roleplay consists of original characters, and I refuse to be part of any crossover RPs, any fan-fiction RPs, or anything else involving other published works (IE : Anime, books, tv shows, ect.). With the exception of Warcraft lore - which I still will only do with original characters and none of the characters considered cannon.
My RP ranges from historical fiction to science fiction, but above all my favorite is medieval(ish) fantasy. Magic, demons, dragons, the typical things you would expect to see in The Elder Scrolls or a D&D game.
I can - and like to - play multiple characters, and I can usually do so pretty well. I can either make an RP alt for forum based RP, or if it is in PMs I can do different colors for my posts.
All OOC posting (Out of character.) is done in ((ooc comment here.)) style, usually at the end or start of the post, as I do not like to clutter the actual RP.
The only things I refuse to do (Aside from the above mentioned stuff.) would be : Furry, vore, scat, guro, family, vampire, school-based or anything too sexual. I draw a limit on the last one, you'll have to PM for details.
If I haven't scared you away, and you're literate - PM me and we can set up something biggrin

I love original characters, open to most plots, and I love people who are engaging. All of my role play knowledge consists from historical fiction to science fiction, in love with medieval fantasy. Dragons, warlocks and werewolves, oh my!
I can play multiple characters which I believe is my forte, and can do a forum based role play or bring it to private messages. I usually am consistent with how much I type, if you do like small posts please tell me ahead of time because there are times where if I get into it I will crank out about five paragraphs, all with about three to five sentences at the least. About Me Hi! I'm Ashley~
I'm 22 and an avid reader/writer, and I'm looking to start role playing.
As far as experience goes, I really don't have much... I participated in a Remus/Sirius (Harry Potter fandom) role play for a bit, until the Remus dropped out without letting me know, unfortunately. I've tried to do other One on One RPs and small group RPs before, but most people assume that since I'm new to RPing that I'm not worthy of their time... but I am literate and enthusiastic, and though I may stumble a bit, I'd like to think (or at least hope) that I'm decent at this and have a lot of potential, haha!
I'd like to RP via PM or AIM- feel free to PM me if you are interested, and I'll give you my AIM name if you'd rather do it there. RPs I'm Interested In At the moment, my main interest is original fantasy storylines.
I have a handful of characters all rearing and ready to go- faeries, humans, and a few who are humanbased but not quite.
