I met another person today on the island. She was the only one that was actually fully human, like me! She seems nice honestly. She's pretty strong, she took down a guy called "the Dude"..uh whoever he is... She didn't really look like she was afraid of the island at all, she wasactually pretty happy. I admire her already, her spirit shows through in what she says and does. She seemsfirm in her beliefs, which is a good thing but I don't think she's unwavering if presented with logical evidence....

She actually gave a good speech on Doctor Moreau though.... She made me realise that the Doctor never really broke his promises to me, yet at least. He was sincere when he said that his treatment would help. I did pay a lot for this place, but it's not like it's not worth it. The room is nice, the food is great.... and well the therapy part hasn't started to work yet, but then again it never does. Moreau doesn't seem like a bad guy really....

But he did ruin a lot of people's lives.... Pyroth seemed pretty angry at all of this stuff...

But really Amaya is kind of being helped.... and Lauren definately is.

I don't know about Colche or Hargun though. Maybe I'll look into them a little later.

I don't know though... I guess I can't yet say if the Doc is such a bad guy or not. But right now I'm leaning towards not. I don't think I'll say that too publicly though... I think I'd be disliked very quickly.

That's the last thing I need right now....

Meeting the Pro-Doc poster child.

Awen Zyn
Awen crashed through the jungle uncerimoniously. She panted as she pushed her way through the forest. Finally when she got adventurous enough to venture into the jungle she ends up trying just to run back to town. She had gone just a little bit too far and emerged on the beach. Seeing all that water brought the knowledge of the island flooding back to her memory. She was overwhelmed and could think of nothing but to run away from the crashing sound of the waves and back to the safety of dry land, which in this case meant the shadowy depths of the jungle.

As she neared the tree where Lauren was Awen looked back. An instictive thing to make sure she was away from the danger. When she looked forward she came face to face with the hanging girl.

"Ah!" she tried to stop but ended up just tripping adn falling on her face. "Ow...."

Lauren Granger
Lauren blinked and then smiled widely at the panicking girl. "Hey, I'm not THAT scary am I?" She asked as she flipped down landing on her feet. The animal dna felt like it was starting to kick in at times like those, when she had tremendous balance and agility but still she had not changed.

She reached down to help the girl up, "You look like you've seen a monster or something" She laughed a bit at the irony of the statement, "Of course, monsters are everywhere here. We're all going to be monsters eventually."

Thorn realised she had never met the blue haired girl before. Maybe this one would like her. "Hey, I'm Thorn." She waited for the frightened girl to reply instead of asking her customary who the hell are you when she introduced herself.

Awen gratefully took the girl's hand and got up. She took a moment to brush off the dirt that clung to her arms and face. Finally she turned her large purple eyes upon the girl who jumped from the tree. Looking her over quickly she seemed normal enough. Maybe she was new like Awen was. A little more knowledgable than Awen though it seems.

"Monster...?" She glanced back over her shoulder and brushed a piece of hair from her face. "Well... you could say that I guess." She laughed nervously before returning her gaze back to Lauren. "But not the inhabitants, they really aren't so bad... once you figure out you're not delussional."

After a moment of silence she remember. "Oh! I'm Awen by the way.... Awen Zyn."

Lauren Granger
Lauren laughed, "heh, glad you figured out YOUR not delussional." She looked around for anything Awen might of dropped. "What were you running from then? The Dude or something?" She knew that way was the beach but the Dude was the scariest thing she's seen there by far.

"Ah Awen. So what brings you here?" Thorn was full of questions as she tried to play cool, leaning against the tree she just jumped from.

Awen was flustered for a moment not knowing which question to answer first. She tried to figure out who this "Dude" was as well. This was all pretty confusing. But she took as stab at it anyway.

"Um it'll sound stupid but the ocean, who is the Dude, I thought this was a resort therapy clinic." She said all in one long quick sentance to try to answer all of her questions.

Lauren Granger
Thorn looked a bit stunned, the girl hasn't gone through orientation yet. Usually she would play with the lie then someone would call her and the doc out on it and the person would hate her. Not this time.

"Therapy huh? You scared of the ocean, now that is kind of silly. Why would you want to be on an island if you fear the ocean?" She crossed her arms. "Ah the Dude is somebody around here, old, fat, likes the beach. Thought you were running from him." She leaned in closer was if someone could hear her if she spoke too loud. "He's also got a 'condition' with webbed feet and hands. Poor guy. Sure you'll meet him eventually."

She tried to hold back a laugh. Did this girl know what was up or not? It was hard to tell. And how in the hell did she get purple eyes? Thorn quietly cursed her normal dull brown eyes.

Awen Zyn
Awen again had to think a minute about things. She wondered if by condition Lauren meant he had been changed like the others yet. She blushed a bit feeling pretty stupid. She looked away from Lauren.

"Well... I'm afraid of water and...one of my friends actually convinced me to come here. Thinking it was a therapy clinic..that would help me get rid of my phobia..." She rolled her shoulders a little bit uncomfortably.

She looked up at Lauren again trying to change the subject. "I haven't met this...'Dude' guy yet but.. I guess I'll have to watch out for him, is he dangerous? I mean is he..uh... changing like the others? One guy... Pyroth I think his name was kind of snapped at me the other day because I didn't .... well understand."

Lauren Granger
"Ah sorry, sounds like a crappy thing for a friend to do. I just came here on my own for free food." She patted her scrawny frame, "Filling up a bit now, can't really see much of my bones anymore." A proud smile went across her face.

"Touchy sometimes aren't they? Nah he's a puppy dog, well not a puppy dog but a sea lion but... you know." Her eyes lit up a bit, "Besides, I took him down one day on my own." She buffed her nails and looked at them arogantly.

"Don't you worry, you'll change soon as well." her dark eyes looked into Awen's seriously. "And so will I." Lauren definately felt jealous that she hadn't changed yet but her weight issues needed to be taken into consideration as well. The doc had taken an interest in her and didn't want her to die.

Awen Zyn
"It wasn't Jon's fault!" She for once seemed to get rather angry. "He was trying to help me! He didn't know about the island..he wanted me to get rid of this phobia he really cared about me...." She glared at the girl for a few moments after she outburst but then quickly shrank back.

"I'm sorry!" She said quickly in a meak voice. "This is just...kind of hard for me to deal with... I didn't mena to... uh..."

Once again she couldn't think of anything so she tried to change the subject. "Well.. um.. I don't doubt you can take someone down.... You seem pretty tough to me.." She didn't know if it was the way she carried herself or what but this Lauren girl did seem strong.

She wanted to avoid the idea of her changing. Awen did not need another round of 'what hiddeous sea creature will I turn into'. She was pretty sure she was going to. from everything she heard from the others the doctor was just sick like that.

Lauren Granger
Lauren stepped back, "Easy girl, I didn't say it was his fault. Just said it was crappy for him to tell you to get help. Don't think friends should be telling eachother they're crazy is all." Like she would know much about friends. She sighed, this socialisation thing was so hard. It was so much easier to tell someone to ******** off and go on your own.

She tried to look sympathetic, "yeah, it's hard for lots of people to deal with, probably is why Pyroth got all upset towards you. It's ok I don't care really, more people should just let their anger and frustrations out it's much easier than bottling it all up."

The tall girl meerly laughed at the last statement, "yeah well it's no big deal really I think the poor fellow had a glass jaw or something." She still looked proud.

Trying to change the subject, Lauren asked a different question, "So, uh, what do ya like to do?" She asked as she looked at Awen, then turning around still listening but following the trail back. It was starting to get a bit dark out.

Awen Zyn
Awen trailed behind Laruen through the path just enough to be able to follow and but talk comfortably. "Well I want over it... it was getting out of control really he just...helped." She mumbled a little bit before hurrying to answer her other questions.

"Oh well... I like playing video games, writing poetry short stories that kind of thing.. um...anime and movies and things... general stuff mostly. nothing that grand." She tried to think of other things but honestly she wasn't too good at talknig about herself.

She looked up to the tall girl and smiled a little bit. She was strong and Awen admired that... She was a bit gruff but it seemed to really work for her. Maybe she should stick close to Lauren, Awen was sure she'd learn the ropes fairly quickly if she were around this girl.

"Um.. what about you?"

Lauren Granger
"yeah, that stuff sounds like fun." Lauren agreed with Awen's interest. "Well I like anime and video games as well, manga and graphic novels both. I love music, art, drawing, studying science, and hanging out at the beach." She laughed at the last one, "It's true really! I'm not just making that up cause your scared and all."

She stopped for a bit to watch a colorful bird fly away. "heh, look" Thorn said as she pointed to the creature.

"But yeah, some things I'm still learning. Nearly two years of my life was just spent surviving and I didn't have time for me." A wide smile crept across her face just knowing things weren't like that anymore.

Awen Zyn
Awen's smiled warmed conciderably. Lauren did sound like a lot of fun to hang out with. She giggled softly at the bird that flew by, it seemed sort of funny that a strong person like Lauren would take time out to point out something like that.

"I...wish I could say I empathise with you there Lauren. But I'm afraid I've neever really had to worry about just surviving..." She looked to her feet a little bit. Indeed Awen had actually come from a rather rich family and didn't know a thing about what it would be like to have to worry about just plain surviving.

"But I don't think it really matters anymore huh? I guess for everything wrong that can be said about the Doc he does treat his subjects fairly well, eh?"

Lauren Granger
Lauren shrugged actually enjoying that she didn't scare Awen off. She wondered how in the hell that happened. "It's ok, most people don't. I did run away so it's all myself to blame."

She also felt happy that Awen was realising the doc was indeed a good person. "yeah, he's great to us really. Gives ya anything you could ask for. He could of just locked us up in some cage with the bare necessities but he spends lots to keep us happy, even if he did kidnap us all. And I bet you will get rid of you fear of water though I'm sorry you had to leave all you had behind." Lauren did have one... friend that came to her mind. Fire. Awen kind of reminded her of Fire in a weird opposing way, she was water even though she feared it. Lauren wondered if Fire ever was afraid of... well fire.

Dumb thought, she wasn't afraid of Thorns.

And thinking of that, her boot lace caught into a briar patch. She tugged the thorns free not even being careful of cutting her hands which started to bleed. Wiping her hands on her shorts she moved on as if nothing happened.

Awen Zyn
She watched as Lauren cut herself on the thorns and sped up a little to walk jsut a little more beside her. She was going to ask if Lauren was okay but by the way she didn't even break her stride made her catch the question in her throat.

She moved the subject back to the doctor. "Well... He did say he would cure me of my hydrophobia. I guess he never really..lied so much. I mean the place is beautiful... and if he follows through on his promise then I guess he never really lied to me...." She rolled her shoulders a little bit. "But... he didn't exactly tell the whole truth either Lauren..."

She was really stuck. From almost everyone else the doctor was a person to be despised andfor a time she agreed with them. But now Lauren gave another perspective and thinking about her she sort of agreed. She supposed she'd reserve judgement for now. After all she'd only met him face to face once.

Lauren Granger
Lauren shrugged a bit, "Truth is always subject to interpretation." She said rather coldly. She could see Awen's gears spinning about the doc. "Eh, you will probably hate him like the rest and that's alright I suppose, I don't see any point in that myself. We're stuck here might as well adapt to survive. Besides, how many times do normal people wish for something strange to happen to them just once? That's why you see those crackpots claiming they see bigfoot or aliens. They want something out of the ordinary."

She smiled a bit, "We're like mutants now, you know like x-men!" They had reached the clearing and the village was within sight, the sunset had turned the whole island an orange pink mixture. "Well, it's getting late and I need to get up early for my lessons. I'm at Duplex 10 if you want to hang, give me a buzz." She waved at Awen as she started saunter off in an opposing direction. Their duplexes were nearly at opposite sides of the village.

Awen Zyn
She smiled back to Lauren. She really did make some good point and gave Awen a lot to think about. "I liked x-men...." She mumbled softly. As she headed for her duplex.
"Oh um, 21 by the way is mine. You've given me a lot of things to think about..." She shook her head. "Don't just class me with other people, I'm not a fan or a hater of Moreau just yet...."

She once more changed the subject before they went too far to talk. "And if you really do like video games i got a Game Cube and a PS2 set up in my room! Come over sometime!"

She waved a little and started back for her duplex. She grinned softly. Lauren might be tough in real life... but if she ever did come over she;d have to be ready for a butt whooping in Soul Calibur 2.....

Well.... she tried anyway.

Awen Zyn
Awen noticed Hargun sneaking off after Amaya. She tilted her head a little bit wondering what was up. People in this place sure acted pretty strangely sometimes. But maybe something was going on in the jungle. A meeting or gathering or something? Awen really wouldn't be surprised...
This is perfect! Just the way to meet new peopel and get to know the others better. She smiled happily and went after Hargun and Amaya. For awhile she stayed back behind Hargun.... but soon started to hear running water. Upon seeing the river side and squeaked and rushed forward. She meant just to catch up to Hargun to stay close..... but she ended up tripping over a vine. She really has to stop doing that... She managed not to fall, barely, but she kept stumbling forward with her momentum
"Woah woah GYAH! Look out!" She shouted her voice ringing through the air.
But it was too late...
She ended up just running into Hargun from behind. Now finally falling, forward god knows how, she rolled and landed just behind Amaya's heels.

"oww....."

Awen cursed herself for being such a clutz.

Emerwyn
Emerwyn jumped up, startled by the noise.

So much for my alone time...
Was there anywhere to get peace and quiet in this place?
She sat up and curled her wet feet under her legs.
The voices were pretty close, so Emerwyn decided she'd wait for them to come;
If I'm not going to be able to be alone anywhere, I may just as well deal with it.
Emerwyn leaned forward and splashed her face with water. She may as well try and look a little more presentable, and a little less... dead.
She caught her reflection in the water. She did look dead - like a zombie, even.

Amaya Vaughan
The raven-haired girl hadn't even noticed Hargun, the music in her ears blasting out any sounds or distractions that might've told her she was being followed. She did have that creepy 'being followed' feeling though, but she just shrugged it off as a feeling. After all, she was somewhat into the jungle... things were always watching her.

Her eyes squinted, noticing someone up ahead. Before she could make out who it was and wave the ground behind her shook slightly along with a thud.

She DEFINATLY heard that. Amaya turned around with a brow raised to find Awen just behind her sprawled on the ground along with Hargun. "Uh... You guys okay?" She offered a clawed hand out to the two, looking kinda creeped out as she used her free hand to push her headphones around her neck and click them off.

Hargun Aikason
Hargun had almost succeded in catching up to Amaya when she felt her body being pulled to the ground. A moment of shook and she satrted laughing uncontrolably. "Woah, what the hell Awen?" she looked to the girl whom she just recently met, and tried to get up, still in a giggle fit.

"Wow, I dont even know why Im laughing.. but I think our cool points are splattered all over the ground now." she said brushing her shirt off then reaching down to pick up her sunglasses and put them back on.

Finally recovering her stature and her breath, she looked to Amaya and smiled. "heya. I was trying to sneak up on yah.. but that kinda failed."

Awen Zyn
Awen blushed as she took Amaya's hand to get up. She was laughing though. "Sorry...um Hargun." She brushed the dirt off. She smiled akwardly. "Um Hiya Amaya."

She kept her back to the water and tried to block out the sound and just focus on the others. "How are you guys? Apart Hargun's splatted cool points I me-"
She titled her head noticing the girl ahead. She didn't look like someone Awen had met.

"Hey guys, who's that?" She pointed to the figure ahead of them.

Emerwyn
Emerwyn looked at the group of people who had apparantly all fallen nearby.
There was a lot of confusion... Maybe she could slip away...
No, someone had caught sight of her. A blue-haired girl she had never seen was looking directly at her.
She sighed again, looking away from the confusion, hoping to look like she didn't really care they were there; maybe they'd decide to pass her by.

Amaya Vaughan
"Mmyeah, I'd say it did." Amaya smiled slightly, silently glad that Awen had thwarted Hargun's plans. She had always been jumpy.

After helping the blue-haired girl up and giving each a "hey" in greeting, she turned to see who Awen was talking about. "I think it's... Emerwyn. I wonder what she's doing all the way out here..." It was a stupid question since she was probably just relaxing, but regardless she started to walk towards her.

Hargun Aikason
Hargun laughed. "Sokay." she said with a grin. "I can pick them up later on"

She looked over to who Awen was talkign about then to Amaya who apparently knew. "Emerwyn? I havent met her yet... she new?" she said and hesitated before following Amaya.

Awen Zyn
Awen beamed thinking about another new person. that must mean that this Emerwyn person hadn't changed at all either. As nice as the people like Hargun and Amaya were she was still weirded out and worried about their... changes. She had only met one other person, Lauren, that hadn't changed yet so she was very excited to meet another fully normal human. She didn't count hte Doctor as being fully normal....

"Hi there!" She shouted up to the girl and waved as they approched.

Despite the people around her Awen's stomach tightened. As much as she tried to ignore it she could hear the river flowing. Her heart was racing, she could fall in, she coul drown, what's in the water anyway? There could be dangerous things and she'd never would know until it was too late.

"uh.. um guys..." Her voice was nervously high as she fidgeted. "I uhh...."

Awen closed her eyes tightly taking a breath trying to relax herself calm herself. breathe Awen, just breathe, she thought to herself. But all she could think of was her lungs filling with water at each breath.

"Igottago!" She said in all one word as she dashed back into the confined of the jungle heading straight away from the water. "Sorry!" Even once out of range she could still hear the water echoing in her ears. Paniced she ran straight back for the nice dry duplex.

PostPosted: Sun Oct 16, 2005 12:49 pm

Awen slammed the door behind her when she got back into her duplex. Panting softly she was glad to be back in the safe confines of her home. She couldn't hear the ocean waves, nor smell the salty air and she definately was free of listening to the running river. Awen went and sat on her bed. What had she been thinking following them to the river?

She was thinking she wanted friends.... This was riddiculous, it was an island with normal...well kind of normal.... people on it of course they'd want to hang out by theb each or the river or someplace like that. How fair was it for them is Awen kept them away from those places when she wanted to hang out with them? She tried to go with them and be part of the group, hey even meet someone new....

But she couldn't. She really wished whatever the Doctor was doing he'd do it faster. Water was definately he worse of her fears but Awen still hated being alone. She was getting so frustrated with herself and how she keeps running away. But she knew for now she couldn't help it. She had these exact same problems main land.

You look like you've seen a monster or something. Lauren's words echoed in her mind. To everyone else the ocean the lake the river...they were good places to relax but to her they are monsters. With everything else on the island she is coping with, real life monsters thanks to Moreau....why couldn't she handle the water still?

She would just keep trying. She couldn't lock herself in her room forever! She would just keep going out with people... and if she ran away then so be it. But she would just keep trying!

With a newfound determination Awen stood up and headed out the door of her duplex, back out into the danger. She would conqur this fear. She had to!

Determined to....HOMG Naked Colche o.O;

Awen Zyn

Awen shook slightly as she came down the trail to the beach. Long before she saw the bright sand Awen could hear the waves and smell the salt. By the time she was able to see water she was a wreck.

"I can do this, I can do this, I have to do this." Awen kept muttering to herself.

She movements were very mechanicle, one foot stiffly infront of the other. She didn't look around only ahead. Any natural rhythm she would have walking normally was completely lost. Her shoe touched the sand finally and Awen thought she was going to start crying.

Just... be strong, tough like Lauren. Awen grinned nervously, or brave like starfish.

She hadn't seen that funny girl after she left the cafe the first day Awen arrived. She wondered where she kept herself all that time. She had been meaning to apologise to her and that Pyroth guy but she hadn't found them.

Right, Awen thought, Good, just focus on that don't think about the water.

But she still shook and eventually tears were starting to fall down her cheeks. She stopped halfwayd down the beach and just stood there, half with determination half paralized with fear and looked out onto the vast amounts of water before her.

...She wanted her mommy...

Colche
Running had suddenly become somthing she loved to do, it was great, streaking from her porch the wind whipping her long jet black hair around her face. Bunny had been left behind today, she was going to the beach, she wanted to go in to the water, to try and catch the fishies, to splash and maybe go on a small critter search!

The line of trees that hid the beach from view quickly swam in to her line of sight, but she was feeling tired, her legs ached the mucles tenced and she forced herself to slow, she even panted for a second, taking the last few meters at a slow walk. She didn't even notice Awen struggling to get on the beach she simply walked over and flumped in to the water with a giggle and a rather large splash, the surf lifted her hair, moving it away from her body, showing the long scars down her back, interupting, for the moment, the spots that had started to form there. Unfortunately for awen it had slipped colche's mind that she was supposed to wear a bathing suit, sos he sat in the water butt naked simply ensconced by the seas hypnotic waves.

Awen Zyn
Awen blinked as a very naked Colche sped by. The surprise momentarily covered her fear. Which was good, in a way. Awen was so surprised with the girl it took awhile to register the scars on her back, but still questions didn't form.

"Colche!?" She blurted in surprise.

This may not be a real therapy clinic like Awen had though but she honestly thought there was something wrong with that girl. She was naked for crying out loud! What if someone else saw her, one of the guys on the island or something! Awen admittingly isn't the most modest person in the world but she still had tons to spare for Colche. Taking this thought in her mind firmly she ignored where she was forcing the thought of water being there out of her mind.

Awen rushed forward to the waters edge, staying just away from the waves that were lapping the shore. "Colche what are you doing out here like that?" She didn't have a scolding tone in her voice, but more concerned than anything for the girl.

Colche
Colche turned slowly before shuffling around in the water, letting the water lap up her back instead. She smiled lightly, that smile never touching her cool, deep blue gaze "Awen" she said simply tilting her head in a curious manner, it was a rather cat like reflex, she did it alot of late. A little giggle escaped her "beach nice" she said simply her huge innocent blue eyes simply oblivious of the look in Awens eyes. Colche really didn't understand the idea of cloathes, though occasionally she did think about it and put them on but when she could get away with it she was quite happy to walk around naked. She had always been naked.

Licking her lips her eyes drifted to the girls blue hair and she couldn't help but comment on it "hair" she said pointing at the shocking blue flock of hair that awen posessed. Still she sat thewre completely oblivious to why awen was so shocked. if awen looked closely at her though heald scars litterd her body arms and neck line, her face was pretty clear of them but she had a large one on her neck down to her chest. "water awen?" Colche questioned, hoping Awen would join her in the water, it was a fun place to play.

Awen Zyn
Awen looked at Colche who was sitting in the water before her. She expression softened to a soft of mix of sad and happy. She felt sad for this girl and her ignorance and all of her scars but she was happy to actually see someone so innocent in the world.

Awen wondered what Colche's life had been like before she came to the island. She looked across the healed gash on her neck that trailed down her chest and suspected it hadn't been very good. Maybe Lauren was right when she said the Doctor really did want to help people.

She shook her head a little bit to her question. "No water for Awen." She said softly. She may be able for the moment to stand the sight and smell of water but she knew that if she touched it she would be dashing back to her duplex. "Awen is afraid of water." She explained.

Awen was caught she didn't know what to do about Colche. How could she get the girl to go back and put some clothes on, without destroying that pure innocence. Maybe it was okay for now...but Awen could keep watch and make sure the guys of the island...if there were any more guys than Pyroth the Doc and that Dude guy Lauren talked about on the island anyway... wouldn't bother Colche.

Yeah that could keep her mind of the water.

Colche
Colche tilted her head again her brow furrowing "fraid water?" Colche looked exceedingly thoughtful at this and bit her tongue "Colche not..fraid light now" The phrase was broken and stutterd and said in a childish manner but her lips set in a determined line and she nodded an affirmative. She licks her lips "Water, Light nice island" Colche was far from stupid she had some of the words she needed to link these phrases together though they sounded broken and questioning most of the time, she hoped she was saying the right thing. Smiling again, the smile never touching her eyes she sat happily in the water, she was going to turn around and play with the fishes but Awen looked like she needed to speak with her so she stayed her possition simply enjoying the kiss of the waves on ehr hair and butt.

Awen Zyn
"Yes afraid of water." She confirmed. "Nice island..." She sighed and didn't know what to do. The more Awen saw the water the more her panic was rising. She glanced from side to side along the beach and licked her lips nervously. She looked over her shoulder only to secure that she had an escape route. The only safe path was back.

"Colche was...afraid of light?" She asked softly. "Why is Colche not afraid now?"

Maybe this girl could help Awen conqur her fear. If Colche could get over a fear maybe Awen could too. But she was starting to sweat, and not from the heat.

Taking a step back from the water Awen's body almost instinctively ran away, but she was determined. She would not run, not when someone was right there. She would stay and if she had to she would walk. She would not run she would not give in.

Awen closed her eyes a took a deep breath trying to calm herself but all she could taste and smell was the water. She grimaced and her eyes shot open. Steady....steady.... Just focus.

She tried to smile again just waiting for Colche's answer.

Colche
Colche looked thoughtful, it took her a moment to take in what Awen had said, getting past the fact that she had only been spoken to, when neede, before she came to the island made any language hard for her todestinguish. She bit her tongue "Light, men, work. Island, men nice, furry, nice, no work, Aubrey say, no work" She nodded an affirmative, she had possibly managed this phrase a half a dozen times since coming to the island, to people around her whom seemed to curious about her or spent enough time with her. She could little say any thing else about why she was frightend of the light before. Though she could remember her past vividly and her dreams were often haunted by huge men and the black cold wall, the island had none of these things so her fear had quickly melted leaving only this purely innocent little girl who understood little.

Awen Zyn
Awen heart sunk a little bit. What Colche said hadn't really helped her at all. She understood it well enough thought she didn't care to guess at what kind of "work" Colche had meant. Though even without trying she was sure enough she at least had a vague idea.

She supposed life could be worse. There were worse things than water after all. Colche overcame something worse, but... Awen's fear was just as real. Phobias always were quite illogical anyway. Not at first, the causes might make sense but eventually they become illogical and useless.

Knowing this one would think Awen would be able to get over it easily. One would be definately wrong.

"Colche do you want to... go someplace else?" She offered nervously. Maybe if she could get Colche to go somewhere it wouldn't be so bad. It's not like she was forcing her to or anything...

Colche
"Hmm" Colche looked thoughtful "Awen food?" she smiled lightly standing up the water dripping from her slender from and plopping from her long bklack hair "Food nice" She gave a gantle puur, perhaps some how she had realised that Awen was frightend of the water, or maybe not, perhaps herbelly told her it was lunch time and desired chocolate cake...Either way she gave Awen one of those cool eyed smiled and totters off up the beach. She paused, she had never been to the canteen without cloathes before. She shrugged and started to walk again, food was far more important than cloathes.

Awen Zyn
She sprinted off after Colche. "Yes food is good!" She said and grinned happily to be leaving the waterside. "But clothes Colche! You need to get dressed!"
she worried more about any men that happened to be on the island besides those she knew. She actually even worried about thsoe she knew to be honest.

She didn;'t know how to tell her why to wear clothes but she just said the first decent excuse she could think of. "No clothes no food!" She blurted out remembering the old "no shirt no shoes no service" signs. "They won't let you eat if you don't have clothes!"

Yeah that'll do!

Colche
Colche Pouted and humphs, giving a little nod she keeps walking, they would have to go past the cafeteria to get to her duplex any ways maybe awen would change her mind.

]Colche hummed ehr little song as she walked along, their journey had taken them quite close to the cafeteria and she paused for a moment letting the scent of the food drift to her nose. She looked at Awen pleadingly, then rememberd what she had said. It felt a little strange for her to be told no and she almost just went in to the cafeteria at that point til an old memory jolted ehr back in to silence and she glanced at awen worriedly fearing reprimand if she dissobayed. Leaving the cafeteria behind she led Awen to her duplex, pushing the door open she wandered in searching for her pinky scrubs which she had scatterd some place. She found them easily enough and slipped in to them quickly, she was master of the scrubs now! Finally, she searched for her rabbit, finding the little bundle seated happily by the dresser she scooped up the fluffy bundle and potters out back to Awen "bunny food" she smiles lightly heading back towards the cafeteria to fill her rumbly tum.

Awen Zyn
Awen smiled softly. Glad to be away from the sounds smell and sight of the oceans waves she walked into the cafe with Colche. She was relieved not to have met anyone along the way. That would have just been disasterous....

Entering the nice air conditioned cafe, Awen's stomach growled at her. She headed for the counter looking at what was there that day. She wondered what she felt like eating and ended up just grabbing whatever fish was on the menu that day.

Usually Awen hated fish but she seemed to hunger for it lately. She smiled and went to grab her and Colche a seat.

Colche
Colche smiled lightly, picking up a bowl, she happily just piled it with everything and anything she could get ehr hands on. The dinner lady didn't seem to be there, so she deposited ehr bowl and went back for a big plate of greens which she sat next to her own bowl. Recently colche had taken to feeding the rabbit first but her stomach rumbled up a storm so she shoveld down a big peiceof chocolate cake before offering the rabbit a peice of red cabbage.

Awen Zyn
Awen smiled at Colche and dug into her own meal. She inhailed the smell and relished the flavour. She couldn't understand why she liked this fish so much. Maybe it was how it was prepared here on the island, or a sort of fish they catch around here Awen had never tried before?

She smiled softly at the little bunny across the table. Cute little thing, it seemed colhce decided to keep it after all. "Does the bunny have a name?" She asked inbetween mouthfulls.

Colche
"Bunny" colche smiles and nods, the bunny had been dubbed bunny, just because it was what everyone else seemd to call the little fluff ball. She gave a yawn and balancing the plate and the bowl in one arma nd holding her bunny with the other she stood "Colche sleep, seventeen" she gave another wide yawn and shuffled from the canteen, heading once again for her duplex and for a cat nap.

Awen Zyn
Awen blinked a little bit. That girl sure just ran out of energy pretty fast. She waved a little. "Sleep well Colche!" She smiled and just turned back to her own meal.

She beamed proudly now that she had successfully manage to stay at the beach for awhile at least. She had even almsot touched the water. She shuddered at that thought, she had almost touched the water! But she managed not to really run away...which was good.

Awen grinned softly to herself as she bussed her plate and trays. She was doing better. Maybe this island was helping her. Maybe the Doc wasn't such a bad person after all. Awen went and sat back down at her table and sighed softly. Could she really believe the Doctor wasn't a bad person?

Wiggle Wiggle

Awen Zyn
Wrapped up in her thoughts she didn't notice the guy with small antlers someing into the cafe. She was still arguing with herself debating between Lauren's view of the Doctor and everyone else's that she's met. She sighed softly and shook her head. It was really no good worrying if he was good or bad was it? They're all stuck there anyway.

Eventually she looked up and saw the man standing in the cafe. It took a moment to realise he must have been changed as well. Antlers, ears, fur. Yup... he was like the others. Awen had only met one other normal person yet and she was a little disappointed that she isn't meeting any other full humans...

She got up slowly and decided to introduce herself. "Hi" She said as she started towards him. "I haven't met you yet, have I? I'm Awen" She flashed him a big smile.

Ian Campbell
Ian looked at the female who said 'hi' to him. He swallowed his last leaf and gave a small smirk at her smile. "Hello. No we haven't met, I haven't gotten out of my duplex much in the past week or so. I'm Ian." He held out one of his hands/hooves, hoping she wouldn't be too appalled to take it."

Ian stored away the information he had gathered about her already. She had evidently already met other changed residents of the island, else she shouldn't ahve reacted so easily to his antlers. She was new, probably arrived in the week he had become a near recluse, and was an optimist. Her hair was blue, dyed, and there were no roots also showing that she couldn't ahve been here long unless Moreau supplied hair dye. How long would her optimism last?, he wondered, giving a mental sigh hoping she could always be cheerful-ish.

Awen Zyn
She took his hand/hoof and smiled softly. "So you too huh? I think I've only met one person who was normal still. I guess it was easier for the Doc to keep it a secret when there wasn't all these half animal people running around huh?"

She tried not to let her smile faulter at the striking worry at what she would be turning into. She thought of the dead angler fish she saw in a museum once. Her father had explained it to her and she hadn't liekd ti one bit. Picturing herself Part anglerfish Awen shuddered wondering how many of her new friends would like her then...

"You've been here awhile then?" She asked tilting her head to the side changing the direction of her thoughts away from herself.

Ian Campbell
Ian shook Awen's hand then let his drop back to his side. "I've been here for a month, I think. It is really easy to lose track of the days around here. I know two "normal" people. One I haven't seen since I got here, the other I haven't seen in about a week." He sighed, "There are no secrets outside the laboratories here. Moreau tells you one thing there, but out here there are no secrets." He started to head towards the food counter. "Excuse me while I get some food. It takes a lot of fruit to fill me up." He put three apples and two large tomatoes on a plate and headed over to a table sitting down once he got there.

Awen Zyn
She walked over to the table ian chose to sit at and she sat down. She vaguely noticed it was the same table she had first sat at on hte island. She remembered Pyroth standing beside the table and shouting at her about what she thought was happening on the island.

"Yeah you figure out pretty quickly that you can't keep making excuses. Like Colche I thought was tattooed... but eventually when I met Amaya I couldn't think of any explaination for her clawed feet. I thought i was delusional because of the stress and length of the trip. And then...Pyroth well... got a bit angry with me." She sighed softly. "I didn't mean to upset him really. But it was a lot for me to take in all at once.... Denial is the first step ya know..." She shrugged a little bit. "But what are you gonna do huh? Lauren doesn't think this place is as bad as what others say, she also says good things about Moreau, which is the first I've heard of anything good mentioned about him yet."

She paused a moment and suddenly blushed. "Oh sorry I guess I'm rambling!" She laughed a littler nervously. "I...tend to do that sometimes sorry."

Ian Campbell
Ian laughed. "At first I thought Pyroth was just an exceptionally hairy man with weird ears. That was until I met Dude and Ambrose," his voice became softer and he took a large bite from an apple. "It was inevitable that I accept what was going on here. Then more and more people began to change, and I grew more and more angry at Moreau. Amaya is barely 16, and yet she was dragged here too. I met her when she arrived, she is a really nice girl and doesn't deserve this. None of us deserve this I think. Not Amaya...not Emerwyn...." His voice cracked a bit, he was feeling really angry and that added to a week in his duplex denying that he had feelings towards Emerwyn was getting to him. "Emerwyn hasn't changed yet. She hasn't been here for very long, she doesn't deserve this either. Moreau is an evil son of a b***h, but none of us can do anything about it." He rested his head in his hands, he too was rambling and allowing his emotions to get the better of him. "Sorry," he muttered.

Awen Zyn
She reached across the table and laid a gentle hand on Ian's shoulder. She knew how he felt, a lot of people didn't deserve this, most seemed fairly happy so far though. And Amaya.... yes she was only sixteen but she was living in an orphanage before, she chose to come here instead of stay there. Awen laughed in her head a little bit. She was making excuses for the Doctor... She sounded like Lauren. But was that really a bad thing? The Doctor was sincere about helping Awen, or he seemed to be.... She set her thoughts aside. She wasn't getting into this again.

"It seems bad Ian... I know." She smiled half heartidly. "But remember it could always be worse. We could be stuck in cages or something. We get good food, entertainment. I mean.... I'm not defending Doctor Moreau or anything... just... it could always be worse." She tried to sound encouraging thoguh she didn't think she did a good job of it.

She gave his shoulder a little squeeze to try to reinforce her assurance and try to help but... she doubted it helped at all. She wore a look of sad concern on her face. A lot of people seem to be upset about this whole situation... About as many as were happy are frustrated too. Awen still couldn't decide what to think...

Ian Campbell
Ian didn't look up. "Yes, everything could get worse. The problem is, that what could get worse usually does before it gets better." Ian was in a foul mood and it was getting darker by the moment. It was nothing Awen had done, but a mixture of his own feelings for Moreau and his feeling and disacceptance of the transformation he really was innerly enjoying. He didn't want to be happy he was turning into some creature, but he was, and he couldn't quite bring himself to fully accept that. Not while everything he loved away from the island was fresh in his mind.

"Doctor Moreau...." he said the name without emotion. "Ah yes, the captor of innocents, the liar.....and yet the one that made my life seem a lot more worthwhile than it had been. I don't know whether to respect the man for what he did to me, or hate him for what he did to others." He gave a hoarse laugh. "Or I could maintain perfect neutrality and pretend indifference."

Awen Zyn
Her hand slowly slipped from his shoulder. "I know exactly how you feel." She placed her hands on the table and fidgeted with the edge. "Some of the people on the island he's helped...others he hurt...." She took a deep breath. "And god knows what he's doing to me..."

She made a worried fist out of one of her hands but refused to get back to those thoughts for the fiftith time that day. "But... Listen." She let out a heavy breath. "There isn't much we can do about it now right? I mean... Sure we're angry, happy, confused...whatever. But what can we do about it? Attack him? Did you see the security this guy has it probably wouldn't work. Escape? Even if we could wrestle away the helicopter when a new arrival came, what could we dom once we get back to mainland? I might be okay for awhile, but you and the others have already changed enough. What would they think of you all? What would they do to you?" She shook her head a little bit.

"I hate to say it Ian, but it's hopeless..." She teared up a bit thinking about all of her friends she left behind. Her family... Jon..... "We're not going back to normal lives. We'll never see anyone again. So....so we just have to make due with what we have here. Enjoy what we can...."

She sniffled slightly trying to steel herself off trying not to try and just trying to breathe. "There no sense being upset..." She muttered thought more to herself. "There's nothing we can do..."

Ian Campbell
That is what he knew. He knew he couldn't leave, he knew that he was stuck here, but Ian did not like being unable to control his fate. "I just wish there was something we could do. I don't care what happens to me. I can be happy here, I know I can. It's the others I'm worried about, the people who left far more behind then I did. I want to help them, let them be happy." He frowned, he hated when discussions went in this direction, he needed to find something better to talk about. "So, um, do you know what you're turning into yet? All I currently know is that it is vegetarian and has horns and hooves."

Awen Zyn
She smiled softly. "I think you're turning into a cute critter I'm sure.... but me..." She shrugged softly. "I have no idea what I'm turning into...." She shurged a little bit. "I haven't started to change and the Doc gave me no clue even what this place was about let alone what creature I would become."

She shuddered slightly and looked down. It did bug her quite a bit. She could deal with some facts... she could prepare that she wasn't going to be able to stop it. But it's the not knowing that scared her the most.

Ian Campbell
Ian nodded. He hated not knowing, but knowing scared him a bit too. "I considered asking what I was becoming, but honestly, I'm rather scared to find out. I keep telling myself that I'll ask next time I see him, or any of the labtechs that work for him, but since I haven't seen them I haven't asked." He finished his first apple and started on a tomato. In between chewing he spoke. "I think I'm a cervid of some sort, bovids aren't as attracted to fruit and leaves as Cervids are. Bovids would rather eat grass and such. He looked at his arm hair and shifted uncomfortably in his seat disturbing the way his tail was resting, he shifted again making a mental note to cut a hole in the back of his jeans so that his tail would never be squished.

Awen Zyn
She wasn't exactl sure what a Cervid or Bovid was but she started thinking about what Ian could be. It distracted her from thinking what she could become. Tilting her head a little bit she reached out and ran a hand quickly along the furr growing on his arm before withdrawing. "Hmm..."

She thought about creatures she knew of back home with horns. "Maybe an elk? Or moose.... or deer..... something like that I think?" She tilted her head a bit. "I mean I'm no expert but those are things around home that have antlers anyway..."

She grinned a little bit to herself thinking of the time a moose had wandered into the city. That was a funny day actually she had been in grade nine at the time when she saw a moose run passed the window of her english class.

"It's not so bad though... at least you have a general idea of what you're gonna be. And you're furry." She giggled a little bit thinking of Colche and her explaination of people she liked depending on their fuzziness.

Ian Campbell
Ian's eyes widened as Awen mentioned that he was fuzzy, then he had to grin. "At least I won't get cold in the winter....if it gets cold on tropical islands." Elk, or deer, that was what Emerwyn had seemed to think as well. "I guess so," he looked at the reddish-brown hair on his arm, and his tail seemed to support that explanation as well. "I had always wanted a tail anyway," he laughed trying to keep up the positive mood. "Except it gets in the way when one is trying to sit." He shifted again, but he just couldn't get in a position that didn't disturb his tail anymore. Frowning he wiggled again...and again..and again, unable to imagine how funny he must look to Awen.

Awen Zyn
Awen tried to hold it back by jsut snickering but she couldn't help it. Soon Ian had her outright laughing watching him wiggle around in his chair. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry." She gasped out but burst then into another fit on giggling. "It's just...." She did a small impersonation of him wiggling around so he could see what she meant. "Too funny!"

Awen was grinning now. "Maybe it's not so bad this transforming thing huh? Maybe I'll be something cute? Like a chipmunk, or a bunny, oh Cloche would absolutely love me if I was a bunny!" She snickered and for once the thought of changing didn't absolutely horrify her.

She had never entertained the possibility she'd turn into something fluffy. She was too worried about turning into some sort of fish, as someone had suggested to her before. She had to look on the bright side of things and be hopeful. "Maybe I'll even turn into a sugar glider oh thsoe things are awesome!"

She giggled still and came to the conclusion that the whole transforming thing might not be so bad...

Ian Campbell
Ian gave up on wiggling and eventually stood up to eat the rest of his food, joining in the laughter at Awen's imitation of him. "Tail," he said apologetically, "I have to cut a hole in my pants for it I think. It doesn't like being confined" Then he realized just how badly that could be taken and turned bright red. "Uh......" he faltered. "That did mean anything beyond the fact t-that I have a fluffy tail attached to my butt."

He looked at her and remembered seeing a sugar glider once. He was glad to see her happy and encouraged it. "A bunny would be cool, I think those long ears would suit you."

Awen Zyn
She snickered at Ian's blushes. She hadn't taken it at all the wrong way....until he pointed out that it could be taken the wrong way then she just giggled some more.

At the mention of the bunny and he whole long eared thing one of her hands went up and played with her ear. "You think so?" She thought about it a little bit. "I don't know really... They'd probably get in the way when I'm redying my hair... I would have blue stains halfway up them!" She snickered at teh thought.

She smiled up at Ian. He really was a nice guy and put her in such a great mood. He really did know how to send Awen into giggle fits anyway, as if it were that hard normally. Since she's been on the island she knows she hasn't felt like this, so she was really glad she could meet Ian.

"Thanks Ian." She smiled a little bit. "You've honestly helped me out a lot." Her voice was soft and sincere now, happiness still bubbling in it, but the giggles gone.

Ian Campbell
Ian felt really happy. He enjoyed helping people and making them feel better. When other people were sad it made him sad so he worked really hard to try to make everyone feel better. "Blue ears would be cool," he teased. "Imagine how different it would be." It was so easy to be happy now. He felt lighthearted and his eyes shone with a small happiness.

Ian got along so well with the people on the island. It was a first in his life and he felt that nothing had been better for him than coming to the island. He had friends, and that was more than he had ever hoped for.

Awen Zyn
Awen grinned at the thought. "Blue ears WOULD be pretty different..." She never really cared either way if she was different or the same as everybody else really. But she had to admit blue ears would be pretty cool.

"That reminds me of the time we painted my friend Joel blue for a comm tech video." She grinned broadly. "Way back in grade ten, it was runny we used the school's paint he washed it off but was stained for days! Man his mom was so angry...."

How random her thoughts string across by simple colour association. she didn't mind though she was having fun. She sensed that Ian was really a nice guy and he just radiated with happiness it seemed.

Ian Campbell
Ian just had to make another comment, he couldn't resist. Where had this side of his personality been hiding for years? "I had always wanted to have an abnormal color of skin. Never blue, but I wanted to have green skin, like the aliens on sci-fi books always seem to have. I am such a geek." His grin was mischevious, almost like that of a young boy. This was part of himself that had never been allowed to survive in his old world, but now was just as much him as everything else. "I never did get to go to a sci-fi convention though."

Awen Zyn
Awen grinned a little bit. "Geeks are fun though! I used to go to anime conventions all the time; I dressed up and everything! It was great fun really."

As Awen was laughing she suddenly was caught up in a yawn. Pausing from the lack of breath at first the yawn overtook her quite rapidly. She blinked a little bit afterwards and realised she had gotten really tired since earlier. She did have a full day after all...

She got up slowly and smiled a little to Ian. "I hate to cut the good times short but... Um..." She couldn't help it and yawned again. "I think I'm really about to pass out here."

She rubbed her eye sleepily and smiled to Ian. "It was great meeting you though, I'm looking forward to hanging out again sometime okay? We can totally Geek out sometime together eh?" She giggled again.

Ian Campbell
"I always used to get teased about being a geek, but at least I had fun. What people think never really concerned me." He caught her yeawns and realized how tired he had beenwhen he first arrived on the island. "I'll just be finishing my food now, but I would love to hang out again sometime. You should get some rest. You seem really tired." He smiled, "nice to meet you as well."

Awen Zyn
She smiled at Ian. "Thanks really... I think it has to do with the different time zones and everything why I'm so tired." She shook her head. "I never could get used to time zones.." She mumbled looking down a bit.

Still though her eyes seemed bright when she looked back up at Ian. "I'll be seeing you around then. I hope you...fix the problem with your tail and all." She snickered.

Turning to leave the cafe she gave a small wave over she shoulder before returning to her duplex for the day. She smiled proudly at herself. Not onyl did she stand by the ocean with Colche for a long time but she met a new friend too. This had turned out to be a pretty good day for Awen.

It wasn't a bad time today.... I stood by the ocean for awhile talking to Colche. I can't honestly believe that I did that. I felt the salty air on my face, the smell... I could see the sparkling water. It was terrifying.... honestly I look at this island to it pictures an ideal vacation spot, paradise... if you take out Moreau anyway, the island would be perfect by normal standards. And yet it's a total nightmare for me.

I could barely distract myself by concentrating on Colche. Who was, by the way BLOODY NAKED! I don't know what she was thinking, I honestly don't think she understands properly. Or at least she doesn't seem like she does. I don't think she's dumb just... grew up differently? Traveling with my parents I learned a thing or two about how people at differently depending on where and how they are raised. I feel sorry for her though.... I mean she didn't seem to be raised so much as trained. And those scars....

Well let's not get into that....

Ian though was pretty cool. Oh.. Ian's this guy with horns I found in the cafe. he seems to be pretty smart... talking about cervids and borvids.... whatever those are? He thinks he was turning into one of those two... I thought an elk or a deer or something. I used to see them from time to time back home so yeah...

He also made me feel really good about my transformation. He's the first one that got me thinking that I might be turning into something cool. It can't be that bad after all can it? Like the Doctor... But I am definately not opening that can of worms again. Anyway here are a list of possibilities that me and Ian were talking about:

Rabbit: With blue ears because Ian gave the idea of dying the ears with my hair, since they'd be stained anyway. Also Colche would absolutely love me!

Sugar Glider: Cute little squirley things that can glide. It would just be cool to jump from tree to tree gliding around the island!

Chipmunk: Always cute animals, we used to have a tame one back home. It would be cool?

And a few I thought up a bit later:

A labrador: I always loved labs.... I used to have one when I was a kid, very loyal very kind. I just like them.

A lion: I entertained this thought for a little while because one of my favourite Disney moves just happened to be The Lion King. I don't know if I would actually want to be one... but hey it was a thought...

A bird: Some kind of colourful bird, maybe a Bluejay?

A bob cat: Such neat little animals... a lynx too! Some cat like that?

Some things I would never want to be:
snakes, fish (or anything aquatic), an elephant, insects (except maybe a butterfly)....

Funny animals i wouldn't want to be but laughed at when I thought of them:

giraffes, possums, beavers, moose!

Anyway I think that's all I can think of for now. I'm really happy, Ian is so great for helping me think possitively. He thinks a lot of others, stresses and worries about what the Doctor is doing to them.... he never even notices he makes people smile. I know I just met him alone and all, but he feels like the kind of guy that could make you smile no matter what. You know those people that just radiate happiness?

But.... I think it's about time I head to bed, crazy sleeping patterns lately... I hate new places, I never can sleep right right away.

Beginning Rp: Lauren and Awen

Lauren went to knock at Awen's door. She already tried yesterday but Awen seemed to be gone then. Lauren was kind of disapointed because she wanted Awen to be the first to see her change.

Ah well, it allowed her to spend time with others that never really liked her much before. She had hoped to have left a good impression.

"Hello Awen, are you there? It's me... Lauren." Lauren said quite loudly to the door.

For awhile it didn't seem like there was going to be an answer this time either. Lauren had been greaated by nothing but silence. Soon though there were stirring noises from within. A crash or two and Awen swung the door open.

She's seen better days. Her hair was all messy and knotted, yet matteed against her head in a nice disfunctional way. It looked as though she'd slept in her clothes, if she slept at all she had bags under her eyes.

"Oh...Hi Lauren.." Yet she still beamed when she saw her friend. She tried to quickyl brush some of the knots out with her fingers but..failed miserably. "Um.. how are you this.... uh..morning?" Though Awen was pretty sure it wasn't morning anymore....
PostPosted: Mon Oct 17, 2005 8:05 pm

Lauren smiled at Awen's humerous greeting, "Nice hair." She said, "And nope, it's afternoon, I've been up since morning. Are you alright?" She looked a little concerned hopeing Awen wasn't sick or something.

"I was hopeing we could hang and play some video games or something, that or just talk.... I'm kind of bored." Lauren put her claws into her pockets and swayed back and forth waiting to see if Awen was up to video games.

Awen waved away the thought of her not being alright and stepped back to let Lauren in. "Yeah you know nothing serious just... well just not sleeping properly lately. It must just be bcause I'm not used to the place, i always sleept horrbly when I travel..." Which was pretty much true so Awen didn't expect there to be anything wrong with her.

"Games, chat sure um... just let me uhh..." She raced for the brush that was sitting on her dresser and pointed it at the pile of games. "uh check them out there.... I have a few two players..."

She frusiously startedd on her knotted hair. She was so preoccupied she hadn't even noticed anything yet about Lauren. Must be the sleep still in her eyes.

Lauren smiled again, "Oh alright, just making sure your not sick." She seemed especially chipper this afternoon.

She went to reach over to the pile of games. Lauren hadn't played for a while now and things sure have changed. She really wasn't in the mood for Mario anything... hmmm.

"How about this one?" She said looking over towards Awen, still bent down and faceing the opposite direction. Her smile showed slightly pointed canines and her tail wagged. "Seems like fun!" Her claws waved around Soul Calibur.
