Zak was preoccupied with Rana not being allowed to knock Tam over and terrorize the raccoon, if she wanted to be bitten in the ear by rabid varmints that was her deal, there was only one cure for rabies, though Zak hoped it wouldn't come to that ."Down Doooown" said Zak pushing Rana down firmly to the grassI don't wanna down I wanna chase the thing! I bet it runs real good! "Down! Stay! good doggie, Rana. Stay!" said Zak slipping her another cheese particle from the linty recesses of his pocket. oh all right, spoilsport speckle-guy, but no promises if it tries anything! Rana stared steadily at the raccoon on tam's shoulders I would so run you down, I mean this I'd do it, I'm here 'cause I wanna be here, I'd take you!
Zak sighed and picked up the brush again getting to work beside the brunette girl "Hey" he said waving a hand in what he hoped was a friendly way. "so you know everybody right?, 'cause I um need to talk to a um seamstress" he blushed "not that I, uhh not that kind of kind of seamstress. a a like needle and thread seamstress. for uh, for sewing." Zak went back to painting well he thought painting steadly that went smoothly, now she thinks you're an idiot. Good job.

Having been distracted by the noise and hustle-bustle, Anezka didn't hear what Fridrik had said. "What?" she cocked her head, then nodded, "Oh, me...I've been with the caravan forever. Mum sort of stumbled upon Valelldia and just latched on to her. Val is like a second mother to me." She smiled brightly, then glanced over at Tamlin and the raccoon. Yes, there is definitely something up with the Meij...There must be. She laughed slightly and nodded at Zak, "You've asked the right person. My mum is a seamstress. I don't think there's anything she can't mend or make." She posed for moment, showing off her outfit, which was her mother's handwork.

"Your Mum? Oh! uhh Good!"said Zak, oh good, she doesn't know about the Other kind of seamstress. Zak thought, "professional seamstresses" didn't always work with cloth
"I need a new coat for the um, the winter and I have um, I bought some cloth but" Zak fumbled for the words to explain with out looking pathetic. but dammit there is no shame in a man not knowing how to damn peicework. he had other talents for doing manly things like lifting and hauling and digging he was vital to the caravan as anybody and who needs to sit inside all day straining the eyeballs, I ask you, nobody.
"Memaw and the other womenfolk used to do the sewing back home." said Zak, he went back to more painting, picking up the drips of pink and working them back into the panel. "Figure I'm better off not doing for myself"

"That shouldn't be a problem, I don't think." She dipped her brush into the paint and began another flower, "Perhaps after we've finished painting, I can introduce you all to her." She gave a smile to everyone, "And who knows, maybe you can meet some others from the caravan."

Fridrik had been listening to the conversation with mild interest, intent on finishing the wagon but he did catch bunny-girl’s question. “You said your mother was a seamstress? You may not want Mǽja coming along then; she’d probably start planning sewing parties and whatnot.” He let out a deep sigh. She’d done that with several other ladies from their last Caravan. Not enough room in the cramped wagon as it is without a group of ladies and their fabrics hanging about. “But if you don’t mind the possibility of Mǽja pestering you then I’d love to meet her and the others.” He smoothed out the paint he just splashed on then stepped back to study the wagon.
