I adore this comic! It explains just how I'm feeling at the moment. whee I'm just getting into lolita, and when I saw the prices my face looked just like hers. I have to work this summer to pay for my new addiction.

I like this! I was a bit skeptical at first, but started to get into it after the first few panels. You use alot of angles to keep it interesting! Hope to see more of it! P.s. I love the mom scene. heart

gongkat Thanks for the comments guys! Sorry I haven't been around to reply more. @kochi-mochi: the lace was a photoshop brush I plugged in. A lot of neat brushes can be found heresickle_bloodless the art is kinda.... uhnnn.... stare Care to clarify? sickle is too nice to tell you that .... its badly drawn....the artist really needs to work on it. though This work is way better. Make sure to spend money and time on How to draw manga books.

I do see some of your lineart as being a bit clunky, which is easy to fix. Don't let anyone get you down, you're doing great. :3

Omg I love this! At first I was confused why they were saying stuff in Japanese and then I guessed that her family must be from Japan since she has an aunt in Nagoya, haha. I like the way you did that...and your drawing style is awesome! biggrin

Heh, we use the same comics server! Interesting choice for your art style, but I can see that it is very much a choice. If I was doing a comic about lolitas I'd go for something less angular, but that might just be me.

Honestly if you're looking to improve your art I would suggest you avoid how to draw manga books. (for the actual art parts)
If you do use a how to draw manga book make sure it is one that teaches you how to make the art flow better and the basic process of making a manga...
How to draw manga artists aren't very good at drawing in my opinion.. In fact its probably best to learn from observing existing manga.. Cauz if you think about it wouldnt the 'how to draw manga' artists have published mangas if they were any good?
Ok that was my semi rant/ 'advice' for today :] hope it's helpful? heh..

Some how to draw manga books are very good. However, with the recent upswing of manga's popularity, alot of very bad books have come out. I personally think very little of the Chris Hart series, whereas the Graphic-Sha series is rather nice. It focuses more on having good comic art.
