Mika smirked
“Well my dear, I got them in a tussle with Midas. He decided that in my previous life, my people deserved to have tribal markings to bind them.”
She lifted her hand and brushed her hand across his forehead.
“you would make a good elf my dear.”
She started forward once more smiling.

Nightingale smirked, letting her voice fade away as the spirit started closer to her. She grinned, quickly and silently traveling to another three some yards away.

"Hitori de wa, tooi ashita wo; Yoake no mama de, koesou de; Butsukatteikya kokeru omoi yo; Konya mo mata, sure chigai..." she sang out, her tune much chipper and louder than before.

Faolchu smiled at the compliment, but a frown crossed his face almost at once. Midas never talked about elves...
Faolchu looked up at Mika, and noticed that there was a smile playing across her face, kind of like when Midas was making up a story. Faolchu smiled inwardly.
I wonder if she is as good at making up things as Midas is.
"But why, Mika? Why would Midas bind you?"
~~~
Midas stopped as the song moved. Whoever was singing could see him, which put him at a disadvantage. Midas looked up into the trees, watching.
Determining the direction of the song, Midas walked slowly forward, wary of any movements from the shadows.
She smiled.
“That’s the nature of humans my dear, they always want to control things they have no right to.”
She grabbed him tighter and leaped into a tree.
“How about a bed time story?”
“My people were the greatest of the land, but were confused –much as you are now- of the new comers, the humans. They were different from us, but we wanted peace. Midas was one of them. His sister was the woman I fell in love with, and when he found out, he became jealous, keeping her from me until I decided I must act. And act I did, I kidnapped her, when he found out he carved demon symbols into my skin and left me to die. Now I’m here to haunt him.”She smirked and kissed the top of the boys head.
“sweet dreams.”
Faolchu
Faolchu pouted childishly. "Don' wanna."Now he was wide awake.
Mika's story had taken hold of his imagination and Faolchu wanted to know more.
"Was Midas's sister beautiful? Did it hurt when they carved your skin? What do the symbols mean? How did you find Midas again?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 12, 2008 8:48 pm
Mika raised a perfect eyebrow at this, questions?
“Yes, she was beautiful. No I will not go into detail.”She thumped him in the back of the head.
“The real story is a lot less interesting. I never knew your spirit. I was born into a race of elves, I their princess. All of us have these markings, though not many as distinct as mine, and I condemned my kingdom from letting my defenses down. Bored? Go to sleep.”
Faolchu
Faolchu sighed and streached out on the tree limb. "Ok..." He yawned and closed his eyes.
"Mika? Next time you tell me a story, can it have a fight scene?"
Shifting into a more comfortable position, Faolchu drew up his legs and let himself drift off.
Nightingale's song stopped suddenly, her grin widening as she watched the spirit looking around for her.
Closer and closer he was coming. Perhaps she should make it slightly easier on him...?
Nah. Let him think he was winning.
Midas frowned, enough already. Of course, he could keep following the song, but at that moment, Midas decided he would save his patience and his sanity.
He stopped moving and stood up straight. Looking around the trees, he whistled to get the attention of the spirit who was messing with him.
"Hey! You up there! I'm sure you are having fun and all, but seriously, enough is enough!"
Mika watched Faolchu for a few seconds.
“What’s taking Midas so long?” She softly whispered, gazing back at Faolchu.
She lightly picked him up and put him on her back. Should she leave Midas alone to whatever was out there? He obviously could fight, but he was no warrior.
Then she thought of faolchu. She couldn’t leave the boy unprotected. Quickly she ran towards the mausoleum.
Artemis would watch him.
When she arrived she laid him down on the pillows. All mika’s knifes were there, but she could do nothing about that now.
Artemis mearly watched with a smirk on her face, while Mika grabbed her sword.
It would indeed be an interesting night.
Nightingale's smile was wide.
"Oh, I'm just getting started," she whispered, sliding down the tree soundlessly. Ah, but she wasn't expecting the dry twig that her tail landed on. With a loud crunch, her presence was known.
Crap.
Midas whirled around, knife at the ready.
Someone was very close. Midas dearly hoped it was whoever was singing and not an accomplice.
He crept closer, til he the tree where the noise had come from.
Then he started to ease around the side of the tree.
Faolchu stirred sleepily. this doesn't feel like a tree branch... not that I'm complaining...
Faolchu rolled over and say a girl looking at him. He looked back at her, not thinking anything in particular.
Yawning, he mumbled something incoherent and closed his eyes again and curled up into a ball.
Then he sighed. "I suppose I'm going to have to wake up all over again, won't I?"
Artemis smiled, this boy… reminded her of her brother.
“You don’t have to wake up dear, but I suppose if you wanted to see all of Mika’s blades you might want to.”
She walked over to him, handing him a soft torn blanket.
Mika heard a twig snap a few feet away, she held her sword at the ready, inching around a tree… only to find Midas.
“Damn you.” She whispered walking past him silently.
She would find the source of all of this bullshit.
Males were useless.
Faolchu yawned again, and stretched.
Looking around he saw blades of all shapes and sizes strewn about the room.
"Whoa..."
Midas frowned silently at Mika's back.
oh, so it was my fault, was it?
He taped Mika on the shoulder and pointed up into the tree.
"Up. There." he mouthed.
Nightingale remained still as stone, not daring to move as she heard the girl approach. She rolled her eyes, however, growing bored with the charade.
Sighing, outloud, she finally spoke up, slithering out from around the tree they both just past. "That was mildly boring. Especially from you, male," she added, giving the male-spirit a critical, cold, almost glaring, look.
