He paused, dropping the badger. "You're hurt." he said. He paced over and sniffed her chest, then licked it gingerly. "You got a doozy of a scratch there."

"Pha, just a flesh wound." She replied as she slowed to a stop. She didn't visibly show any signs of pain until he licked it. He was making it cleaner, but it did cause her to flinch slightly.
"Hurt the badger more." She pointed out with a smirk and a nod. "He'll be feelin' that even in the afterlife."

"You did give him a right toss and bite. But they have dirty claws. You might get a parasite. The ones that bite your eyes out." He lapped at her wound gingerly, his eyes on her.

"Parasite that bites your eyes out?" There was a hint of disbelief in her voice, but her eyes portrayed the first hint of self doubt she had shown this entire time. Usually Sorrel was not a very gullible creature and would deny something she thought sounded absurd, even if it were true. The younger helix allowed Efreet to clean her wound and didn't put up a fight.

"Yeah. They form inside of birds and then get pooped out. They burn up until a snail eats them or a badger collects them in their claws." he said, smirking as he licked her chest. "They eat out the eyes of whatever eats them and it signals a bird down to eat. The parasite is back where it wants to be." he kept licking her.

"Yer makin' that up." The younger helix huffed, but not angrily. She was glancing down at the male as he cleaned the gash that their kill had left. If that was true, which she was sure it wasn't, at least he was cleaning it for her so maybe she wouldn't get sick.

"Oh, and you ain't ever seen a green, purple and grey Helix. I suppose they don't exist either?" he chuckled, licking her chest until the bleeding stopped.

"Have, too." She shot back, but in a tone that suggested playful argument. She moved away from the male as soon as he quit cleaning her wound and pranced lightly towards the badger carcass he had discarded.
"Hunter's share, remember?" And with that, she wrapped her maw about the bulk of the dead critter and loped back towards the ruins she called home, but not before she gave a playful flick of her tail at the older helix.

He chuckled. "I assure you, they exist." he laughed, then lowered his body and chased her, barking madly and playfully snarling. He chased after her and caught up with her, pushing her over and grabbing half the badger.

She stumbled slightly, but caught her bearings quickly and did not once slacken her grip on the carcass. Her tail wagged wildly and her muscles tensed as she jerked the dead thing to one side.
Her heart pounded just as wildly as her tail beat and she was thoroughly enjoying herself. Usually afternoons were spent alone, but now she had someone to hunt with and play with.

He snarled and pulled back. There was a sudden tearing noise and he went flying backwards in a mad roll. He stopped, half the badger in his maw. He smirked and started laughing as he chewed his meat down.

Sorrel stumbled backwards and held tight to her half. Organs were trailing out of the back half and the fresh food smelled delicious. She promptly padded over near to the male and began to gnaw on her own half.
"This is a lot of fun..."

He licked her forehead and her ears gingerly. "It is. I really like spending time with you." he offered gently. Suddenly, a musky scent erupted out of his body. "Sorry." he blushed. "You're just...unbelievable. Goregous, smart, witty, strong, fast...and an amazing hunter."

"You flirt, and I hardly know you." She teased and nudged his neck with her nose. She reminded herself silently that she couldn't agree just yet... She had to have time. She was too young as of right now to commit. He was worth it if he was willing to wait. That factor alone would say wonders.
"Besides... I'm not even an adult, yet."

"I know...I just wanted to make sure you didn't meet another suitor before growing up." he breathed in her ear softly. "I can wait...a winter or so and you'll be a blossom." he smiled. "Just a wee flower, right now."
He paused and tucked his tail around himself. "And...next to you, i feel like a withered stem."
