Meeting Trinket Ebony Morgan Dartsmoore was in the habit of showing up in random places and meeting all sorts of people. Dartie had long since decided that questioning why the hell it happened that her daughter almost never seemed to leave the house without meeting someone was a stupid idea. She had also decided that questioning why Ebony was inexplicably drawn to odd places where she met these people wasn't a good plan either. So, that was the main reason she just agreed with no inquiries as to the reason when the purple spawn asked if they could enter the organic grocer's. The child had taken to baking lately, usually by herself or with Bailey as they seemed to be the only two in the house capable of the feat, and so she needed to buy ingredients. And since she'd heard somewhere that organic stuff might taste better, she had insisted on trying the organic grocer's. Well, Dartie couldn't taste anything anyway, so if it came out bad, it wasn't her problem.
Ryvan checked for the third time since they entered the store to make sure that Trinket was still beside her. It wasn't that she didn't trust the girl it was more that she didn't trust any number of people who could be in the store at any given time, but she wasn't about to make the girl suffer the indignity of being shoved in a cart for the entire trip. So instead she had Trinket keeping track of the list and taking things from the lower shelves.
Trinket was enjoying this so far, there were a lot of good smells and lots of people everywhere she looked. And Ryvan had said that everything here was healthy and good for you. It certainly smelled good for you. She liked that she could be of use to her guardian by actually helping with the shopping instead of just following along behind her, and Ryvan had promised that after the groceries were all at home that she would take the girl to get her nails done, whatever that meant, it certainly sounded fun if the smile on Ryvan's face was anything to go by.
Ebony, as she walked around the opposite direction from Trinket and her mother (the spawn had always been perverse that way) spotted up ahead what looked to be a child with the same skintone as her - a lovely purple color. And this girl, by the looks of it (though one never could be sure) seemed to have pretty tentacoos too. So, being her usual bouncy, cheerful, and sociable self, she rushed over to talk to the other child. "Hallo there." she said, her soft white wings fluttering behind her as she bounced on her toes before the pair.
Trinket and Ryvan stopped as the girl approached, Trinket taking a step towards the other girl, "Hello, you have wings." Taylor had wings, and he was nice, maybe this girl was nice as well. One of her tentacles reached out towards the girl, the darkened tip straining to touch one of the girl's wings.
Ryvan stayed back a step watching, it would be nice for her daughter to have a friend even if the friend was a random girl they had met in a grocery store, she kept an eye out for any parents that looked to be missing a child however, just in case the child had ran away from someone to greet them.
Dartsmoore wandered along after Ebony, keeping her distance but still mindful of her daughter. She also was looking at a few of the things Ebby had put on the list and actually getting them, since the child was socializing.
Ebby smiled warmly. "And you've got pretty dark tentacoos and purple skin like I have." Yay for someone else who was purple - it seemed almost all of the lust spawn were normal skinned with tentacles and she was just purple without them. Now she had a friend who was like her. Stretching her wing out a bit so the tentacle could reach it for pettings, the lust spawn grinned. "I'm Ebony, what's your name?"
Ryvan watched the two girls interacting, content to just watch unless it seemed that the two were about to get into a fight, then she would intervene.
Trinket smiled as she listened to the other girl talk, "My name 's Trinket. Ebony's a pretty name." The tentacle stroked at the edges of the wing contentedly.
"Trinket's a neat name too." she replied. "What are you guys shopping for? Just groceries or other stuff too?"
Trinket looked back at Ryvan briefly before returning her gaze to her new friend "Ryvan said that we were going for groceries but that afterwords we could go out and do something fun! What about you? Are you just doing groceries too?"
"No. I took Mommy here cause I need stuff for baking. I like to bake. I made cookies for the angels and demons at the facility the other day but now I'm out of ingredients. Plus I want to try brownies. What do you think?" Ebony offered, bouncing on her toes a bit. It was a rather ludicrous thing to be doing but she acted so natural about it - of course she was baking cookies for demons and angels. What the hell was going to start happening next? Movies about sparkly vampires?
"Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun, I wish I could help you!" It really did sound like fun, maybe one day soon she would ask Ryvan if she could make something for the Demons and Angels at the facility as well. "You should make them the brownies with candy in them." She had seen a picture of the aforementioned candy brownies in the menu at the restaurant when she had gone with Taylor and they had looked really yummy, maybe the angels and demons would think so too!
"I don't know. Sounds a bit advanced and sorta too sweet. I cant' take having too many sweets cause then I feel yucky. And they stop tasting good. Just all blah." the child said with a shrug. "We should get together and bake sometime!"
"Oh that's true" She looked thoughtful a moment "you should still try brownies though! Even if they are just normal brownies. Maybe sometime we can bake together and maybe I can help you take what we bake to them?"
"Sure! That sounds fun! I'm sure they'd love company. So long as you behave, I don't think they'll mind letting you in. I've been able to get in at least three times with my Mommy, and she's very dangerous. Only, she doesn't come with me into the angels or demons areas. Usually Almas goes with me.........or I go alone to the angels sections. They're safe though so it's not a problem. The only people you really gotta be careful about are the techs and we can avoid them if we watch out."
Ryvan looked at her cell phone and sighed, she hated to do this, but she was going to have to interrupt Trinket and her new friend, they had an appointment and if they wanted to get there on time they were going to have to finish up here and make it back to the house fairly quickly. She flipped open the phone and smiled down at the girls, "Ebony? If you want you can give me your phone number and I'll call your mother soon to set up a time that you girls can bake together, but we have to hurry up here or we'll be late for where we are going after this."
Trinket pouted a little bit, she had been enjoying talking to this new girl, it was nice meeting new people, but Ryvan had said that they could see each other again, which was a good thing. She smiled at Ebony hoping the other girl would want to see her too.
Ebony grinned broadly. "Sure-sure." and gave the numbers to her phone without any real worry. "Just don't call between ten am and noon cause that's when everyone's just starting to get out of bed or go to bed and they're a bit awkward to deal with."
Ryvan nodded "Not a problem sweetie, I'll probably call your mother in the next few days and then the two of you can get together and bake whatever you want."
Trinket grinned "I guess I'll see you soon Ebony! It was really fun meeting you. I'm glad you said hi."
"It'd be my big brother if anyone you'd talk to. Mom doesn't answer the phone." Ebby laughed and then hugged Trinket quickly. "Nice meeting you too, Trinket! I'll see you!" And with that, she ran back to Dartie who somewhat strode after her with no questions asked as to why she was giving her phone number out to random strangers she'd known for less than half an hour
One tentacle followed Ebony breifly before returning to slip around Trinket's waist stroking at the one that had remained around her waist during the exchange as the girl returned to Ryvan's side for the rest of the shopping trip.

Baking With Trinket Ryvan watched as Trinket fidgeted in her seat smiling as the girls tentacles attempted to sooth her by petting her hair. She was glad that Ebony was coming over today, Trinket had been looking forward to it since that first day at the grocery store and had begged Ryvan to take her out to get all sorts of baking supplies for when her friend came to visit.
Trinket really was excited, she was going to get to bake with Ebony today!
Ebony smiled broadly, holding onto Dartie's hand as she walked up to the house. The woman was going to be taking both girls to the Facility to drop off their baked treats later, but right then, she was going to drop Ebby off at Ryvan's house so they could bake the treats at all. The blue-silver haired woman wasn't very maternal, particularly at times like these, but the purple spawn wouldn't trade her for anyone in the world (even if she liked other people's families too.) Soon enough they had arrived at Trinket and Ryvan's door and were knocking at it. Yay, baking time!
Trinket jumped up and followed Ryvan to the door and was grinning by the time the door was opened to revel Ebony and her guardian. "Hi Ebony!"
Ryvan had to hold back a laugh at Trinkets enthusiasm, she reached her hand out to the guardian, "It's nice to finally meet you, I'm Trinket's guardian, Ryvan."
Dartie shrugged and took her hand for a moment. "Dartsmoore." Ebby grinned broadly and bounced on her toes. "Heyhey Trinket! How're you?" she asked before darting forward to give the other girl a hug.
Trinket wrapped both arms and tentacles around the other girl returning the hug quickly before pulling back, one tentacle remaining to wrap around the girls wrist "I'm okay, come on let me show you the stuff we bought for today!"
"Again, its a pleasure to meet you, when did you want them ready to go to the facility?" Ryvan had no problems letting the other woman take Trinket to deliver the baked goods, especially since she had a few phone calls she really should be making today, and she would feel guilty leaving the child alone all day while she talked on the phone.
"Just call me when the kids are ready to go. I really don't have any specific plans for the day." Dartie said with a shrug. "Just, remember to have Trinket leave any valuables she might have here when she comes along for the trip. There's the chance of running into the Greed demon and he's a bit of a thief, from what I'm told. And if you are attached to any of your tins, I'd suggest using ours. We don't mind if they get given away." the older woman finished with a shrug. Ebby giggled and followed her friend. "All right! I can't wait! I brought my favorite recipes with me." the child said, indicating a small black satchel she'd brought with her. "I even got a few new ones for us to try."
Ryvan nodded "Thank you for taking them, I would but I really don't have the time, and you've already been there so it seemed perfect, thank you." She smiled leaning against the door "would you like to come in and have a coffee or a tea?"
"I can't wait to try them!" She led her friend into the kitchen where Ryvan had already set up most of what they would need on the table, only leaving the milk and eggs in the fridge. She had already shown Trinket how to use everything, and the night before the spawn had made her first cookies ever!
"No, though thank you for the offer. I'll come back around later." the woman responded with a slight shrug of her shoulders, turning to leave. "Just call when you're ready." She'd have accepted but there was really no point. She didn't have any need for coffee or tea and couldn't taste them anyway. She'd much rather go home and have some of her own drinks. And given how most parents were about people being drunk when caring for their children, she figured it would probably be best not to leave unnecessary information out. It wouldn't come up anyway unless there was a sudden random blood test for no good reason and they found she didn't actually have any. Ebby smiled broadly. "Yay! What shall we make first?"
"Okay." Ryvan closed the door and made her way to the kitchen to watch the girls bake, and so she'd be ready when they needed her for the oven.
"Um. Do they have any favorites? The angels and the demons I mean?"
"Most of the ones I met didn't seem to care. They had either not tried it or just grabbed a handfull indascr-indescr-indiscri-without looking and just ate them. So they'll prolly like whatever we make so long as it comes out rihgt." The child responded with a smile.
"Well that's good, at least they aren't picky, maybe we should make peanut butter cookies first? I made some of them last night."
"Okay? I'm not fond of them myself, but I just don't really like peanut butter much. It's okay though. I didn't much like the gingerbread either but I made those before."
"Well if you don't like them we don't have too, maybe gingersnaps? I had one of them and they are yummy"
"Well they aren't for me, so it doesn't matter." the horned one giggled but shrugged. "Okay, I haven't made those before."
"Do you have a recipe for them? If not I got a recipe book and Ryvan read the names to me last night, I think there is one in there."
"I don't think I do since I haven't heard of them before. But if you have one in your book, that works then."
Trinket moved to the small bookshelf filled with recipe books and took out the one that Ryvan had bought for her, taking it back to the table and Ebony flipping though until she saw the picture of gingersnaps. "There"
"Oh. Those look interesting. We can try them." the other girl agreed, nodding a bit and smiling. "Lessee what we need here...."
Lots of giggles, mixing of ingredients, and batches of treats later, and the girls had gotten their delicious snacks all put nicely into tins, and had cleaned up the kitchen. They had both sat down to each have a brownie and some tea while Ryvan phoned up Dartie to let her know that the girls were ready to go. All in all, it had been a rather productive beginning to the day.
Sipping her tea while Ryvan phoned Dartie Trinket nibbled on her lower lip "So, what are they like?" She wouldn't say she was nervous, but she kinda was, what if they didn't like her?
"Hm.....well, they're all different. I've only met three of the angels and four of the demons. The three angels were Avis, Anani and Hyacinth. And the demons were Llewelyn, Enki, Charna, and Drake." "Auntie Avis - I call her Auntie cause she's chastity, so she's Lust's opposite so kinda like a sister to J'her and an aunt to us - is kinda awkward around boys but she's really nice and polite. Anani is a bit awkward to deal with and doesn't seem to like people around there much but I think it's cause the techs treat her bad. She doesn't eat anyway since she's Abstinence. Hyacinth's a real sweetie, but really shy and sad seeming. He's been getting happier lately though." "Llwelyn's not that interesting and we probably won't be offering him any cookies either cause he's sloth so he sleeps aaaaaaaaaaalll the time. Enki's all right but he talks about himself A LOT, but that's cause he's pride so it's kinda his nature. Charna's a bit spoiled but she's okay. They're sorta self-centered but they're okay once you're used to them. And Drake's a bit scary if you're not used to him, or people like that - he used to be a dragon or something and ate a princess and such. He likes to steal stuff and horde it so we cant' take any of our things in with us when we go to see him." Ebby explained, checking off on her fingers as she spoke, making sure she hadn't missed anyone.
Trinket nodded "Do you think... do you think they will like me?"
"Well........Drake and Anani I dunno about. Llew will be asleep so I don't think he'll have any opinion of you. Enki.......might not like you since you're his opposite halfway but he might also like you for that. Just kinda smile and nod and let him talk about himself and you should be fine with him. Charna.....um........I unno. Probably. And if you're polite, Avis probably won't have any problem with you. Hyacinth I am positive will like you though. He's really sweet."
"Okay, I can't wait to meet them! Is the facility really far from here?" Trinket was almost bouncy in her seat again with the thought that she was going to get to meet more people today, maybe she would make another friend!
"Not really. Mommy and I walk there most of the time. But then, we walk everywhere." Ebby said with a touch to her chin. About that time, there was a rap at the door, indicating that their escort had arrived to take them onward to meet the demons and angels at the facility.
They put their dishes on the counter and were bundled up and ready to go fairly quickly, but not before Ryvan gave them each a hug and told them to behave, and to be nice both to the angels and the demons.

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:
Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)
Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.
Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.
Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.
Thank you.
You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)
