so... out of curiosity, you are in fact asserting that you are a follower of collectivist philosophy? HAHA. really though... if you had to pick one gov't. and societal philosophy, from one time frame to align yourself most closely with... what would it be?

what's this about collectivism? i am neither a collectivist, nor am i an anarcho-collectivist (though bakunin and kropotkin made some good points). i am a proponent of individualism. how did you get that i was a collectivist? i do not take my individualism to the extreme egoism of stirner, but i am by no means a collectivist. perhaps you should talk to rotting gnarl about collectivism, he's a marxist.
as for your second question, i am not sure what you are looking for in answer... confused

I was simply making a joke in reference to FDR, the most collectivist presidency we have ever seen, hence the (HAHA) and as for the other question... what do you believe our gov't should look like, personally? are you truly a total centrist?

lotusvoid I was simply making a joke in reference to FDR, the most collectivist presidency we have ever seen, hence the (HAHA) and as for the other question... what do you believe our gov't should look like, personally? are you truly a total centrist? oh, i missed the "HAHA" sweatdrop i personally agree with thoreau that the government is best which governs least, so logically, no government is the best of all. however, i also agree with thoreau that people are not ready, at this point in time, for anarchy as an ordered system. thus, my views for the present lie somewhere in between the constitution and libertarian parties, with the goal of working towards true anarchism in the future. also, in the vein of true anarchists, i am a pacifist who believes in non-violent resistance and direct action. like max stirner, i believe that every state is a despotism, the only difference being whether there is one despot or many. i believe the tyranny of the masses can be worse than the tyranny of an individual (but it doesnt have to be). needless to say, i am not such a fan of democracy. but for anyone who knows im a neitzschean, that will be no surprise. i am an individualist. i do not believe in licence, but i do believe in, to quote errico malatesta, "freedom for everybody and in everything, with the only limit of the equal freedom for others."

ok, I see then. (I liked civil disobedience too, but I am more a fan of Thoreau for Walden and his insight into the human condition) I am glad you aren't a silly collectivist, I could never ever take anything you said seriously if you were. lol
