wow lol well listen here stupid...if you wanna marry a man go ahead i was only sharing my opinion....dont sit up here and call me an idiot and curse at me and s**t because you dont agree with what i say...its called debate which is what they do in politics... its obviously something you dont know how to do if you're sitting up here and calling me an idiot when you dont agree...its a political subject so we debate its not rocket science...and in church they dont push their religion on other folk...instead they try to spread the religion gently so that people do believe in God thats part of the reason of why we pray... i wasnt pushing my religion on other folk thats why i found the least offensive way to say it...i was sharing an opinion...and you should know that if you read my post right...i remember reading one of your posts that said "im ******** pissed" its ok if youre pissed and all but dont come over here and bring bullshit to my face because youre mad...debating doesnt involve name calling and cursing...and im being straight up with you...you cuss way too damn much like a little bad kid that needs a beating...every other word that comes out your mouth is a cuss word...that little "im a bad a**" game you try to play doesnt work... you sit up here and tell me to speak proper english but you cant go without cursing for 5 seconds...honestly cursing every minute is just as bad as improper english...but if you ever even plan on debated with me in the future you need to learn how to do it and stop being immature...i also remember you saying youre older than me... its just ridiculous that you constantly argue like a 6 year old so dont debate with me until your balls drop like a man because im not trying to have a conversation with someone as stupid and weak minded as yourself whos going to try to tell me weather im an idiot or not...youre definately not in the place to call me an idiot so get things straight...aaand when we made up to stop arguing in that pm...that was only so you could be crew again...we obviously havent made up yet with you cussing and throwing names at me and never will with your bad attitude...so if you wanna keep this going like you usually do go ahead because ill keep you in check like i did all the previous times we've argued... i have alot of stuff to pull out on you to make you look even more dumb than you already do waiting right here

This was never a matter of opinion. That was kind of my point. Banning gay marriage is unconstitutional. Just because you believe it is wrong doesn't mean you can tell other people they can't do it. Religion is the reason you think it is wrong, and religion has no place in politics.
And I didn't actually cuss in my last post. You, on the other hand, cursed twice. Unless you don't count the one where you quoted me. I've cursed quite a bit in the past yeah, but I don't recall you being much better. Are you just trying to be a goody guy now since you're using religion as your argument?
And yeah I did use the word idiot, but it was conditional. You're only and idiot if you think that gay marriage should be banned because it says so in the bible. You're only an idiot if you think your religious beliefs should govern the rights of people who aren't part of your religion.
You have every right to believe that gay marriage is wrong, but you have no right at all to ban it.
Now if you can wrap your head around those politics, and realize that banning gay marriage would be unconstitutional, then you are not an idiot, but until you understand that truth an idiot is the only thing you can be.

Edit: Here...let me give you a new example that might apply a little more to you. My new religion believes that being black is a sin. We've decided to vote on a proposition to ban black people from the US. Does that sound at all constitutional to you? Keep in mind that this isn't so much about race as it is about religious belief. Also keep in mind that in the bible you refer to there were specific people who had their skinned darkened because they were evil. (Hopefully you can see how painfully obvious it is that the bible is a terrible reference for decisions in politics.) If you need any bible references I'm sure I could find quite a few.

the first half of what you said makes sense and you did cuss in your last post thats the only reason why i started cussing...if you dont cuss at me i wont cuss at you...i like to keep things even....so i thought about it maybe prop 8 shouldn't of been passed...the rest of what you said didnt make sense at all...and this goody guy your talking about doesnt even matter because youve argued with me in the past when you never knew what you were arguing for...but anyways that part of your religion about "black is a sin" is only something that an ignorant racist person would believe...it has alot to do with race if you are trying to ban blacks from the U.S...it'll never happen and the reasons are because number one it is very unconstitutional and number two these confused people of this religion that obviously dont know that theyre normal citizens of the U.S dont have the power to say weather or not whats going down in this country...im surprised i even entertained that... but still thats up to the government to decide... so there really is no point in voting on that...let me ask you something...is the fact that im black what causes you to have bad blood towards me?

i agree with Shelcombakasfire. I'm Catholic, but i believe that we've twisted the bible to our own purposes. We should accept gay people and not deny them their rights. Have we really become so bad that we've denied average humans their god-given rights? It's like saying we should just take all legal Mexicans and ship them off to Mexico. If we're going to deny the gays rights, we might as well deny others their rights, right? I know that someone is going to say that all their other rights are protected, but we should give them full rights. We shouldn't freak out over a little thing such as marriage. Like Shelcombakasfire said, they still are fulfilling their marriage commitment if they go to a sperm bank. Men will give the sperm and then the lesbians would use that sperm to give birth. Let's just accept them and treat them as equals.

Woah woah woah, back up a moment. I was perfectly fine with what you were saying, right up until you suggested that all gays should donate sperm and all lesbians should use it to have babies.

... What? Are we women simply convenient little breeders to keep the species going whether or not we would like to? You seem to be making the assumption that all women wouldn't mind having babies and that procreation is the sole aim of marriage. No. Just no.

And where does that leave people like me, who are for one reason or another physically incapable of carrying a baby to term? Should I not ever get involved with a man to the point where we might consider marriage because I can't have children?

If you really want homosexuals to have children, I suggest lobbying our wonderful government and get them to start funding cloning research. Then they have the option, if they want to take it, of creating a child with a person they actually love, not some random stranger.

Alright...I did say bullshit...I missed that. But still...
If what you're trying to say is that my hypothetical religion is ridiculous then you're absolutely right. Banning black people because your religion says they are evil is just as ridiculous as banning gay marriage because your religion says it is evil. I don't know why you're acting like I'm all racist or something...I wasn't proposing this actually be done. I was making a comparison to try to help you see how ridiculous it is to ban gay marriage.
I really do like how you said only an ignorant racist person would believe it because I feel just about the same towards people who think that gay marriage is evil. Are you an Ignorant Homophobic Person? You seem confused. You don't seem to understand that Gay people are citizens as much as anyone else, and no one should have the power to tell them that they can't marry.

I'm just asking that you make the connection between my hypothetical situation and the issue with gay marriage. Almost every argument you come up with to counter what my hypothetical religion wants to do can also be used to argue against a ban of gay marriage. Both would be unconstitutional, and violate the rights of a lot of people. Do you see the point I'm making?

Edit: Just to make sure you understand RazaDon..I'm not racist. I use this argument all the time, but it usually has nothing to do with black people. I've actually been arguing with a lot of LDS people, and in an argument with a Mormon I will say that it is the LDS religion we are banning. The subject of the argument isn't important as long as you recognize that banning gay marriage is just as bad as banning something like Mormons or black people. (I admit though that banning an entire race rather than just a belief might be just a little more severe. lol. It's just an example though.)

I think that gays shouldn't get married, for religious reasons, but I believe they should be allowed to get married if they choose to do so.

I absolutly do not agree with what you just said there. If a child is created, it has absolutly no choice over the matter, it's up to some people to put it into an as stable as environment as possible. I don't believe a lesbian who is doing it just to follow the bible should have baby and raise it.

Maybe some advice for youngwerewolf6 ---------> Come up with your own opinions rather than trying to restate what someone else has said. You keep trying to agree with people while misunderstanding what they've said, and you just end up offending the people you are trying to agree with.

Like when I was younger I just used to repeat what my Dad said, before realising that he was a racist, sexist homophobe.

I guess you have to talk to a lot of different people when it comes to an issue like this, and even then you can spout absolute bullsugar.(MudBlood zebra is trying to cut down on her swearing. sweatdrop ) You can't argue about something you know nothing about. (Unless you're RazaDon and just talk rubbish until the other person gives up. I've got to admit, it's a good tactic.)

I agree, though It's still better than an unwanted child.

as i said before i did put some thought into it and now i believe gay marriage is ok...yea i see the point youre making but i no longer believe in banning gay marriage so we dont have to keep that going...but away from all that i don't recall my religion saying blacks are evil you must be misunderstanding something...you cant tell somebody about their religion when you dont believe in it...the bible describes Jesus as a man with copper skin and woolly hair which leads us to believe he was either of african or mid eastern descent so there could be no way that having dark skin is evil (i just wanted to put that out there)...so now i think gay marriage is ok if they wanna do it

I made up the religion that thinks blacks are evil to make a point. The religion doesn't really exist, and while there are in fact many references in the bible to dark skinned people being evil, no one interprets that to mean the color of your skin has anything to do with being evil or not. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.

Um... I think that might've been me. I mentioned that I was worried about how some of the ballot measures (Prop 8 included) were going.
