"What are you...?!" He got up, breaking her comfortable embrace, and began to back up. He stopped to give her a good look, and held is head down. "How can I trust you...?" He had persistantly made himself promise that he'd never fall for another again, but here he was...

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you!" Lowering her head she hid her face in her paws. Why did she have to open her big muzzle? It only made things worse! This was like a curse but unlike a curse it wouldn't ever be lifted and she'd have to live with it for the rest of her life.
"Stupid...so stupid!" muttering quietly to herself she whimpered slightly. Hearing his question she glanced up at him. "How can anyone trust anyone? Have you had any reason not to trust me? If you really want I can leave now." Hanging her head once again she looked the opposite way from where he was standing.

He began to stutter, still not looking at her. "Only once, someone has wanted to be by my side... it's not safe... I don't want it happening again, so just... just..." He collpsaed midway. He was exhausted after days of swimming and hunting... He was also out of breath, breathing heavily. "I... I... only want.... to be alone because..." His eyes began to close. So tired... it was like that time when he was attacked after the same coversation with her. Only that she was taken away, and he was left to die. However, she did return to tend to his wounds, and left in bitter tears... "Because ... the ones I love always get hurt!" He finally choked out, coughing. "Please..." He wheezed out finally. "Please help me understand this pain..."
[ ~ It's all a dream... isn't it? ~ ]
Suddenly, everything went black. He was seeing her again. Azzie... Azzie! She called out, smiling. Asriel had no heart to approach the memory, but it came to him instead. Azzie~! *giggles* There you are... you said you have something to say to me? This time, he whirled around, ignoring it. The pianful memory cried mournfully. Azzie, wait! He didn't, he just kept running. Finally, he paused to look over his shoulder to see the memory run after him, exhaustedly, red, as if it were frail. Azzie!! It was crying. This was the exact same thing that happened... He bit himself in the arm, trying to wake up from this dream of the lonely ... Themis... he called after in the dream.
[ ~ Awaken, Angel of Death. Awaken, for your life still has a purpose. ~ ]
Outside of the dream, he was biting himself on the foreleg as well, digging his teeth deeper. But still, he was unconscious. He hadn't slept talked, but merely bit himself, as if his body were trying to get him to wake up on its own. Blood began to pour out from his arm, and he began to jerk and twitch as so, remaining laid down on the grass.
[Poor Azzie... he misses his first love.

Panicking Ama watched him fall into a kind of comma. She couldn't understand it! What had she done! She had hurt this guy who she had feelings for! Shaking with fear she wasn't sure what to do. Seeing him bite his leg made it all come to an end. Smelling his blood was to much way to much.
Collapsing right beside him Ama tried to stand again but found she couldn't. All she could do was watch as he was surrounded by a force she couldn't stop. Inching forward the little she could Ama nipped his muzzle gently and began licking at the wound ignoring the blood soaking her fur and muzzle. She had no thought of how dirty or unladylike she was only that her Asriel was hurt and she had to help him somehow. So absorbed in her work of licking she didn't notice the horn glowing slightly.

Asriel was felt like a cornered rat in his dream. He had run off into some distant lands, and he was lost. "Wake up...!" He said, gritting his teeth. He was stuck. Maybe it was lack of sleep... but he did see Themis in his dreams again... she was as beautiful as ever, but he had long lost affection for her. It was sad when he even thought about how he lost her... he had gotten into a fight for her, and obviously lost, then... then Themis sacrificed herself for him... She damaged her sight that way. He couldn't bear to look at her again, so he left her, fleeing to the North. But warmth. Warmth beside him... He opened his eyes to see his jaws clamped onto his arm, and Ama tending it. He quickly blushed and had his eyes wide for a moment, then looked at her endearingly.
"You're... still here?" He was still quite weak from the lack of rest, and only gave her a weak glance. "I don't know what to say..." He breathed heavily again, but was slowly recovering. The warmth she had was so comfortable, like drawing him in closer...
"Thanks."

"Say nothing. Reserve what strength you have. You need sleep." Continueing to tend his wound she glanced up at him and smiled slightly. "You don't need to thank me for something I'm supposed to do. This is what people do for the ones they care very much about." To young and afraid to admit she loved him. Ama decided it could wait till another day.

Asriel couldn't get her out of his head now, just like Themis before. Thought all about her, and slowly, the ice became water. It was like magic. He had become so foolish because of this simple emotion. The one that managed to defeat him in every round possible. He closed his eyes, and wanted to confess that he really did trust and care for her, but all that came out was a slurred mess. All he could even see was her now, right in front of the dark night sky with all the stars up, illuminating her silken white fur. Her horn gleamed with the moon, and her eyes were utterfly beautiful. But he was too weak to tell her. Too weak to tend to his own wounds, too weak to stand up... too weak to even protect her. Ama can always find someone else much stronger and well built than himself. She'd think him of some arrogant, and selfish brat, and probably is hesitantly doing this...

Sighing as she heard him try to say something she looked at him happily with love in her eyes. "Sleep. We can talk when you wake up. I also need some kind of sleep dear." Nuzzling and licking his face she finished up on the wound and layed beside him resting her head by his paw. This just felt so right. So unexplainably right. Slowly drifting off she hoped that in the morning he would still be there. You don't leave the one's you love right?

Asriel closed his eyes once more, letting her do as she wished. He wished the moment could last longer than ever-he felt so free, joyous, like never before. "Yeah.." He said faintly, and closed his eyes, inching a bit closer to him. He began to think, think, and finally, dozed off. The melody of the crickets and light from the firelfies made it feel even better...
