Dancer smiled brightly as Creek sat by her again. Her mind enjoyed all the images he sent. She did so love learning about other tribes. *OOOOHHHH It's like my home but not.* Now Dancer returned the favor. Sending Creek images of the jungles thick lush green. Tall trees that were long and slender. Each one trying hard to reach for the warm sun. Images of snakes large enough to eat an elf if ever caught off guard and playful long tails swinging in the trees. The humidity in the air was hot and it sprinkled often, nearly every day or a few times a day. *This is where I am from. The forever green is harsh but wonderous.*

Creek smiled as the images flooded his mind but the smile faded slightly when he recaled her talk of striped-claws. Nonetheless, it was beautiful, but he couldn't picture staying only there. *Did you ever leave?* he asked, still not used to the idea of staying in one place. Moving was part of living. But he thought, in a place so beautiful, he might, just maybe chose to stay too, or at least a little longer than usual.

*No not really* Her fingers poked around in the dust and dirt as they talked. *I moved about many parts of our homeland but never went so far I didn't know where I was. That is until..... Well, you know.* She gave a mental sigh but pushed any sadness that might be creeping in away. *Will you stay with us now that you are here? You know their is safety in numbers right?* The last part of her send was just a teasing poke at him. Trying to lighten the stranger up a bit more.

Closest to the fire, Blaze got his soup last. Before Peyote, of course. He took a sip of it, and looked up at her, a warm smile gracing his features. "Thanks Pey. Good stuff. No fingers in it, eh?" He drained the rest of the bowl, chewing a mouthfull of the solids. "You ought to be cook, or at least in charge o' foodstuffs. You sorta already are anyhow." As he finished speaking, he sent privately to Savith, his tone steady and unemotional. **Quite a moving speech.** His tongue found a small bit of grain that had not cooked all the way through, and he manuevered it into his jaw and crushed it to powder. **Was that the same Lord you mentioned before?**

Creek's gaze hurriedly shifted to the floor infront of him, this was the second elf that asked him to stay, to not go searching for his tribe, to not move as he was used to. He stayed silent for a while, not sure what to say. He usually just spoke teh truth, let others know how he felt in as few words as possible. but now he wasn't sure. Should he stay? He may travel forever withouth finding his tribe or they may be on their way here. *I'm not sure. My tribe is out there.* The send had no emotion. Creek didn't want to make Dancer feel bad or anything like that, she he held back his feelings, choosing to just answer with words.

Dancer could understand his longing to be with his own. She smiled and placed a cool hand on his shoulder. *Think a while on it Creek. We would all love to rejoin our tribes but know it would be the end of our tribes ways if we were to die also. If you are the last then you need to one day teach your young the ways of the Plains runners. If you find others like yourself then you are Blessed by the High Ones as Savith was and the three Wolf riders.* Big blue eyes blinked slowly as full lips smiled at him with warmth.

*They're out there* was his reply. He had faith in that. He had seen the remains of the village, knew they made it out, and he knew they were out there. *But i understand* he still did not look up from the ground. He had not considered kitlings yet or even a lifemate or anything. He liked kitlings, having helped take care of his younger sister, but he hadn't thought of his own in the future. Nor had he thought about his tribe's ways vanishing. they were solid, passed down their stories and tales, growing in number but all remembered. *Thank you* She had halped him think, helped him get through the muddled up thoughts in his mind. While he still wasn't convinced about staying, he figured he would give it more thought.

Dancer chuckled softly and nudged him with her shoulder. Speaking now to him with a happy voice. "I didn't do anything." She then laughed with that happy little bird laugh she sometimes had. She was feeling good now. Happy to help make another feel a bit better. Finding herself wanting to help the others however she could.

Happy that everyone had food and was eating, Peyote settled herself by the fire across from Creek, near Blaze. As she took up her own bowl, she laughed at Blaze's remark. "No," she bubbled merrily. "No fingers. And thank the High Ones too! My father was always a better cook than I was. I never was much one for cooking cooking, that is. I like throwing parties, making sure everyone's got enough to..." It's right baout then that the rest of what Blaze said hits home, and the dark skinned elfess blushes deeply. "Who, me? In charge... of anything... other than parties?" She shakes her head fiercely, all the while blushing.

Savith set his bowl aside when he had finished, green eyes flicking Blaze's way as the private send touched his mind. Replying in kind, the glider sent a wordless wave of acknowledgment toward the fire-starter. He sits, watching the gathered elves, listening to them talk and chat.

When Peyote offers Llune a bowl of soup, she accepts with a nod and a gentle "thank you" before sitting beside Savith. She eats quite a bit like him, taking even, meticulous bites, absent of any slurping noise, and chewing 30 times before swallowing, 100% prim and proper, except Llune picks around any meat products that may be contained in the meal. Leaning a bit on her son and against the cave wall, Llune finishes her soup and sighs contentedly, watching and listening to the others chat.

Starsong watched as the discussion unfolded, she knew Savith would be named chief, it was evident how the rest of the "tribe" looked to him for advice and support even when he was incapacitated. She watched the looks on the young faces, the contention in some, but overall, the acceptance and felt that the pieces of the puzzle were finally setting into place.

She looked at Savith for a long time. Her supporter, her companion, her guidance, her chief. A wry smile spread across her lips as she watched him. She and him seemed to have a special bond, but not like her wolf, something else. She supposed that if anybody had gone through what they had together, they would also feel that tie.

As she ate silently, she slipped back into obscurity until the idle chatter had died down, and the rest of the tribe could be named. She would rest easier once that task of hers had been fulfilled.

Blaze shrugged. "Somebody's got ta do it. An' you seemed to take interest, and you're doing it now. If ye can keep track of how much we have, and how much we'll need in the event that food gets scarce, I don't see why ya shouldn't be the one in charge." He reached over and brushed a strand of hair from her face, pleasant smile on his face. "Besides, what's a party without food?"

As Savith confirmed his guess, the firestarter decided that the Glider was best left alone for the moment. Something seemed to be eating at the lithe elf, and Blaze was leery of setting him off, especialy with Autumn still probably watching for signs of unpleasantness. He had seen Savith get fed up with his prodding once, and to face both of them, well... Blaze wasn't stupid.

Leaning back against the cave wall, he growled irritatedly. "When's this bloody rain going to let up?"

Peyote blushed a bit more as Blaze pushed a lock of hair from her face. She didn't have a snappy come back to get herself out of the spotlight she felt Blaze was putting her in. "Yeah... well..." was all she could come up with.

WHen he asked about the rain, she stated simply, "When it's rained itself out."

"I will admit," the glider spoke up after silent moments, "that Festival with you arranging the Feasts were never quite equalled by any others that tried."
