"True, it is, but the cold usually comes out at night. Which is okay as there will be a hot meal and warm blanket to sleep under afterward waiting." Ravina smiled. "Friends on a cold day is the best. Not only are you warm you have company as well. And cocoa. There's always cocoa."

At the thought of seeing the god on skates she let go a little laugh and clapped her hands together. "I think I would greatly enjoy seeing that. I'm not good at it though, I fall all the time. Though watching someone else have a good time is always fun. Smiles all around." And cocoa. She would see to that personally.

The wind teased and let on around the Willow. The intangible streaks scattered and entangled about the tree for split seconds at a time before the wind got a clever idea. getting very close, it ran through the fringes of the boughs and then dashed off like a shot, passing the Ink for a second and then off into the crowd! If the willow wanted to be near, it seemed it too would have to venture beyond the safety of their guardians. The Wind flowed languidly in and out of various objects before deciding it liked the look of one of the older - and unfamiliar - figure that appeared to be conversing with someone nearby. The Wind made to get just the stranger and peek out, not yet interacting with it, but surely evident enough to be noticed.

Rai on the other hand was in no hurry. He simply shrugged at the idea, as though to shake it from him. "I have no idea what you mean, love. I must've missed it..." As one does conveniently miss a hole by walking around it. "I suppose I am a bit thirsty though...how about I get us some refreshments, dear?"

When Celeste receieved the curious feeling of her human from her fish, Celeste gave an inward smirk. She didn't know the word, or an image to go with it, but she still wanted to give a playful taunt, a feeling she sent as if to say, "Jealous?" Without giving time for Nadia to respond, however, Celeste gave a gentle fluff of her feathers.

"This human, Mist," She thought in words, then used her ethereal hands to send images of Mist eating, over reacting, tripping over herself, but other images of a proud human, dilligent with rather pleasant surroundings. "Money." Celeste added in the word. Currency was a foreign concept to her, but apparently humans talked about it quite often so she knew that money had something to do with the finer things in the house.

That same human, ignorant that the crane was talking about her, was still prowling the refreshments and food. Mist settled on a simple drink of bright red that resembled fruit punch. It had a sweet tang, and was indeed quite refreshing, "Not bad." She commented aloud to herself, then turned her eyes back to the platters of snacks.

Dragon nodded, and reached out to touch his brother's arm lightly.

"I'm going to go get changed into a costume. You get food and drink, and I'll be right back."

With that, he walked off. The willow was torn between following Dragon and staying with his beloved. He chose the wind - a tore off after Rune after a few moments hesitation. He paused where the wind did, and hovered there as if thinking. More images flashed the surface. Questionmark? Symbol for Women. Questionmark? Image of Dragon. Image of Raizen. A wagging finger.

Dragon walked back after a couple of moments, dressed very oddly for him. He had donned a cat mask and a tail, as well as hurriedly slipped on some paw-gloves, and a contraption for his feet that made him look like he was walking on paws. The rest of him was dressed in his intern clothes, with a stethoscope around his neck, and a surgeon's cap, out of which peeked a pair of cat-like ears [obviously glued on, but you couldn't blame him for trying].

Hollywood stood in the doorway for a few moments, contemplating whether or not she should enter, or just go home and curl up in front of the television with her guitar and a bowl of ramen. She had to admit, the sound of people inside drew her in, the intense loneliness of being a college student with no friends weighing down on her shoulders.

She looked down at her costume for one final inspection. She had taken Sally with her, but one couldn't just take a simple little knife to any old party and wish to be included. Hollywood had dressed as a Greek goddess, piling her copper-rose colored hair on top of her head after spending hours curling and straightening it. She had tied bits of gold twine in with it, and had created her own crown of leaves. To disguise Sally, she had created a leather scabbard and tied it around her waist, making sure the knife found it comfortable before she decided it was her final course of action.

Sally sent up an image to Hollywood, a large red heart-shaped thing with a happy face drawn on one side. Then she showed her how pretty she actually looked; her 'toga,' as she had called it, flowed around her feet like water, but accentuated her natural curvyness. Her gold Spartan shoes, the ones she had purchased from the Goodwill down the street the year before, made her feet look smaller and more elegant. The golden pendant around her neck made her look tall and regal.

"Thanks," she whispered to Sally, patting her gently as she stepped through the threshold.

The god smiled, draping an arm over Ravina's shoulders. "Don't worry," said Nayeli confidently, "I won't let you fall." One could hear the truth in his voice without even listening for it. "So, is it a day?" (It was notable, for him, that he hadn't said 'date'.)

Ilsa looked around when she felt something brush her hair. Another flaw in her creation- she couldn't sense the Galateans. She shook it off as nothing and continued to wait for a response from the other woman, using the time to look around at the pretty, varied costumes around the room. Her outfit, being just boldly striped jeans, a ripped tanktop, and a jean skirt with high tops made her feel underdressed.

She would have continued to be patient, but then a new person entered and Nayeli had given her a look. It said, This is a party Ilsa, and I love you, but socialize! So she bowed to Deadre and hurried over to greet the new arrival with a curtsy and a large smile that she clearly didn't feel. In her opinion, this human looked too young to understand the only way Ilsa could communicate.

Still, it was worth a try. look[i]Hello[i/], she signed, You look very lovely. Can you speak?

Huian looked over at Mist and frowned. Well, it was a nice costume. "Good evening," she said, but only after pulling the hood back over her face.

"I believe you when you say that." Ravina reached up and patted the hand of the arm draped over her shoulders before agreeing to what Nayeli had proposed.

"Certainly. A day of skating sounds fun." Her hand dropped back down to the side but she kept looking at the god, interested in the idea of going to skate without the worry of falling for once.

When Ilsa approached her, Hollywood felt her face beam, her eyes light up, and her heart skip a beat. She wasn't being ignored! She wasn't the outcast, the creeper by the refreshments, the emo kid alone in the corner... she was being welcomed to a party.

But as she began speaking in sign language, Hollywood felt her heart sink to the floor. She couldn't speak sign language, unless you count knowing how to say 'hello' and 'cookies' as knowing how to speak sign language.

"I'm sorry," she breathed, shrugging her shoulders and crossing her arms in front of her chest. "I don't understand sign language..." Biting her lip unconciously, Hollywood reached into the leather scabbard wrapped around her waist, letting her touch linger on Sally's cold steel for a moment before brandishing a pad of sticky-notes and a pen. Hey, Sally had needed the extra cushion.

"Can you write it?" Hollywood asked, holding the pen and paper out to Ilsa.

Muse bowed her head back to Ilsa with a slight smile and glided towards the tables, the golden ribbons braided into her hairs and around her arms fluttering after her. At random she plucked up some sweet drink and turned, her eyes on the opulent hall and jewel-bright guests.

She half turned to check on Naida and her eyes turned hard yellow; there was a crane looking into Naida's bowl. And if she was not mistaken, the crane had a hungry gleam in its black eyes. Muse reminded herself that it would be improper to attack anyone (beast or human… or deities) but couldn’t stop herself from continuously glancing over the make sure Naida was still in her bowl and not down the cranes throat.

Naida flicked her tail in delicate disdain at being considered jealous of a human. She sent an image of a faceless, drowned man in a lake and then the image of fish picking at his bloated flesh. Humans couldn’t even hold their breath like whales how could she be jealous?

She then rose so that the glittering blue scales along her back were exposed and sent the image of a flight, the world spread out beneath like a quilt with a feeling of impatience and longing.

The wind having failed to garner attention from its original hiding place decided on a new target. He drifted over and around the Willow, coyly sending images of Jason winking, Rai chasing Dragon through the house, and music notes. It was essentially - come catch and catch me, you! But this would not be so easy, for as soon as he'd finished, he dashed off towards a new target. This time the wind blew straight past his old hiding spot and into the vicinity of an unfamiliar cousin. This creature looked much like a bird! She was very pretty, to say the least. Rune hid himself just behind her and softly sent images of the crane, a nice flower, and a sense of shy question as to who she was whilst he drifted nearby.

Rai was not in the same in the regard of wanderlust. He soon returned to Dragon with two glasses of punch and a plate of various treats. Upon sighting the crude and cuddly costume, Rai couldn't help but smile. "Aw, love, you're adorable."

When Naida sent her disdain for the humans, Celeste couldn't help but feel a little hurt, though she didn't know how to explain. It didn't even occur to her that it might have been a defense to hide any jealousy.

The crane had been spending so much time amongst the humans compared to her life before she met Naida that she couldn't help but wish to learn more of them. The land that connected the sea and the sky always intruiged her, and as she was merging herself more and more into their culture, she couldn't help but begin to feel more akin to the humans. Wasn't she herself unable to hold her breath that long under the water?

At a loss for words, Celeste sent her dear fish something akin to a shrug, "Pardon." Another single word she had picked up, which she noted her human used as a means of apology or excuse.

The crane turned away, as if to say she would explore a bit more. She hid her feelings of hurt under a layer of pride, and with a regal huff, she glided across the floor.

Startled by the reception of images, Celeste paused in her stride. The tone of the images felt like someone she hadn't met before, but she couldn't help but somehow feel nostalgic. Her eyes flickered across the room, then settled directly upon the drift that hid so well in plain sight. Curious, and a little flattered by the attention, Celeste reached her ethereal hands out to the other being.

As an introduction, she sent images of the sky, high in the air with the wind gliding under her wings and the distant lands glittering below, "Celeste." She said, confidence pushed into her name before she sent an inquiring look in return.

Mist, who was used to Celeste's independence and often left her to her own devices, peered up, realizing she should stop oggling the food and actually socialize, "Good evening." Mist returned with a smile, though struggled to find a topic before dumbly asking, "Um.. so what brings you here?"

Dragon shuffled his 'paws' a bit, and looked down, blushing with embarrassment. He took one of the hors d'oeuvres, munching it by navigating it up under his mask - which was made in such a way that the 'jaw' of the cat was attached to his own with spirit gum. It made for a rather realistic costume, except the ears. Those finally just fell off. Into his punch. He sighed and retrieved them, sticking the soggy props into the labcoat pocket, disappointed.

"I'd be a lot cuter if these ears would stay." he said bitterly. "I worked so HARD on this costume, and it's falling apart on me!"

'Leafy', meanwhile, had had enough of the games, and started to head back to Dragon and Raizen. This time, he tucked himself into Rai's pocket, and stayed there, content among the medical equipment. He flashed a few images at the wind, and seemed insistent. Ambulance lights. Dragon's face. Rai's stethoscope. Exclamation point!

It seemed at first that the Willow's thoughts were unfounded. But Dragon himself was starting to feel a little off. His hand raised to his chest after he bit into another éclair, but he paid it no mind. Just working too hard, that's all.

"Then a day of skating it is!" Nayeli grinned and kissed the woman full on the mouth, but it was (mostly) chaste. He was just happy to have something to do one day over a weekend. "I think we'll be best friends, Ravina."

Ilsa tilted her head, the god's actions catching her eye. She scowled, but didn't take too much offense; after all, Nayeli was a god of love, and too considerate of her wishes to act on all his desires- apparently, like ice skating. She did not do well in extreme temperatures. So she had to deal with him dallying around with others. When she turned back to Hollywood, her smile was back. She took the pad and pen then wrote neatly in a sweetly curved hand:

My name is Ilsa. How are you this evening?

With a sigh, the hooded and cloaked girl said, "My stupid ink blot. I presume you're the one with the crane." It wasn't a question; things never were with Huian.

Ravina was startled at the sudden kiss from Nayeli but couldn't suppress a little laugh that had bubbled up when he did so. She covered her mouth as best she could, but the laugh still got out somewhat. After it had subsided the woman dropped her hand and nodded.

"I think so too. Just give some warning before you do that next okay?" Not that she didn't like surprises or anything, but that had definitely caught her off guard. Ravina was certain that the blush that had arisen would stick for a short while, even after the party had ended.

"What's wrong, chest hurting?"

Soma had been lurking amongst the shadows for a good deal of the party, biding her time here and there as she watched new people come in with their Galatean essences in tow. She was a bit peeved, honestly, at how many there were and knew that her younger siblings were very clearly to blame for most of it but couldn't think of anything to say about it at the moment. When it came time for these essences to take their human form was when she'd actually have to do some work and that wouldn't be any time soon for pretty much all of them.

When she'd noticed Dragon moving aside from the crowd and touching his chest in a manner that was pretty much a tell-tell sign of something aching or feeling not quite right Soma made to move to his side, her head titled back as she looked down at the mere mortal before her. When she finally reached Dragon's side she narrowed her gaze a bit before snapping her fingers, a gesture she didn't need to do but felt like doing for the flourish of spectacle.

"There you go, fixed. Can't have you getting a heart attack and dying on us any time soon and leaving your stupid plant behind for me to take care of, so I figured the easiest way out of that would be to fix your heart. Congratulations, you're healed and perfectly healthy."

Soma's words were like ice, even though they were supposed to be a compliment of sorts, and the God smirked from where she stood. It was a dare towards this man to say anything, anything, about her choice and actions.
