The Last Dragonlord by Joanne Bertin is my favorite book. Followed closely by Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard. Manga, I like Godchild by Kaori Yuki, famous for her series Angel Sanctuary.
Hate list: the Anita Blake vampire hunter series. I read one and the only reason was that I had a crush on the French vampire Jean-Claude. And Sword of Truth. That series went downhill fast. I still enjoy Wizard's First Rule, but aftering reading the last few, even the first can't fix it.
And middle is Julie Garwood. I enjoy her books enough.
Now, a book I enjoyed but wasn't grammarly well writen was Pool of Radiance from Forgotten Realms.

I really enjoyed Johnathan Stroud's Bartimaeus trilogy. It was both humerous and yet focused on the main point as the story altered between the perspectives of the characters. It is a fantasy genre, so if you're into that I'd highly recommend it.

David Klass wrote my favourite book of all time, you don't know me, it's a simple sorry of an angsty teen, I never knew it would stay with me this long.
Margaret atwood is not my favourite author, not even close, though her endings are phenomenal.

Shidobu Cloud DarkElf27 Favorite Author has to be Micheal Crighton. Author of such stories as Jurassic Park, Airframe, and Prey. MC rules everything! I loved the Jurassic Park books, and Congo wasn't bad. Then came Timeline... AWESOME! Hey, I read that book too! It was pretty good.

Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury The Giver by Lois Lowry Richie Rich, novelization by Todd Strasser
I had the last book ever since middle school, and I've read it loads of times. It's still my favorite now. smile

I adore Terry Pratchett, Charles DeLint, J.R.R. Tolkein, Orson Scott Card...Oh, there's so many.
The one book that I hate the most I have joined a guild that started off by hating that book. Eragon. *shudders*

I love Lewis Carrol, Dan Brown and Joanne Harris's work, and Garth Nix too, even if I am a little old for his work now (technically I'm not, but my mental and reading age is).
So far I'm not liking Terry Pratchett and Christopher Paolini, but I'll get round to reading it eventually, and it may well get better.
In terms of manga, I like Kaori Yuki and Sumiko Amakawa's books. Their artwork is beautiful too.

Right now I am in love with Neil Gaiman. Just about anything he's written has been fantastic. He did the Sandman comics, as well as several novels, of which my favorite is American Gods. I also love Joseph Michael Linsner, both artist and storywriter for the comics DAWN. Laurell K. Hamilton is pretty good too.
