Hitman611
Drew Brees (fantasy team cool )
Adrian Peterson
Clinton Portis
Ronnie Brown
Andre Johnson

Thats my top 5. Personally though, I think Peterson is going to get. And I hope so to, cause I'm a Vikings fan (and Steelers!). But then, I wouldn't be to upset if it were Brees. He's my top fantasy player.

MVP isn't all about stats and fantasy status. It's being an extremely value component to a team, carrying them through the season.

Brees may have good yardage stats, but it's because the Saints throw the ball twice as much as they run it. Also, the Saints are in last place in the NFC South. It will be hard for a RB to win it this year. Even though Adrian Peterson is having a great season, he hasn't done anything spectacular. Warner seems to be the front runner at the moment, because he led his team to an NFC West title. Kerry Collins is also doing the same for the Titans in the AFC South. Portis cooled off a bit as of late, which is why he probably won't get it, after a great first half.

Also ifd you were to go by Fantast points it would be Kurt Warner by far.

Those are decent candidates, but haven't had an MVP-type impact like Kerry Collins or Kurt Warner.

Drew Brees may pass for 300 yards a game, but that's because all the Saints do is pass. Also, New Orleans in dead last in their NFC South division.

Clinton Portis really carried the Redskins during the first half of the season. He's one of the most talented and complete RBs in the NFL. But his current injury, and the slight decline of the Redskins may hurt his chances.

Michael Turner may be the "turnaround player of the year" for the NFL, but hasn't made an impact in games the Falcons needed to win. In short, he clobbers bad defenses, and fails to make an impact against tough opposing defenses.

Right now the vote is probably leaning towards Kurt Warner, but it should go to the Cardinals entire offense and the weak defenses they face. Warner is only a product of two great receivers, good protection, good play calling and playing the Rams twice, the Seahawks twice and the 49ers twice.

Honestly, I like Adrian Peterson, he leads the league is yardage rushing and he's done so with a below average to average passing game. I don't believe I'm biased with my pick either.

Also I like Clinton Portis even though I think he has a better situation in Washington.

Yeah, at the moment, Adrian Peterson is performing as the best rusher in the NFL. Although, since the Vikings aren't doing too hot this season, it probably diminishes his chances. For example, look at Tom Brady last year. Not only did he have a statistically great season by breaking records, but he also led the 18-0 Patriots to the Super Bowl.

good points but i still beleave Turner or Portis could win it but if it was up to me it would be Lendal White but hes not even being talked about and Kerry Collins is just doin exactly what Young did but Kurt Warner on the other hand has made the biggest impact on his team and turned around the Cards

LenDale White hasn't really done anything over the last like three games. Also, if there's a more valuable runner in Tennessee, it's Chris Johnson. White is more of a goal-line and third down back. Chris Johnson is starting. Anyways, Kerry Collins is the most valuable offensive Titan at the moment. He manages the game well, does not commit turnovers, and also can win the game through the air (as we've seen over the past few weeks).

Adrian Peterson..............

But seriously, Kurt Warner is really hard to argue against. Drew Brees is having one of those stat years, but I dunno, I like Warner better.

Wow, are you oblivious to what's happening to the Titans?

Chris Johnson's yardage for last three games: 8, 64, 46
LenDale White's yardage for last three games: 14, 52, -1

...Both White and Johnson put up bad performances in that game. Chris Johnson is the better RB, and there is no way that LenDale white should get any consideration for an MVP. He even bashed his team and his role in their loss against the Jets.

And are you serious? Put Vince Young back as the starting Titans QB? Is your football IQ a zero? Kerry Collins might not be able to scramble (which seems like the only thing matters to you in a QB), but he has managed Tennessee well in their impressive 10-1 start. He even won a few games through the air recently. Why change a veteran leader that has worked out fine for you this season?

ok lendal and chris are very good and everyones sayin that he turned around the titansi(Kerry Collins) hes just doin what vince young was doin befor he got hurt and what i ment was if there doin by that much give him some playin time

and the mvp in my opinion is still most likely Turner

Yes, LenDale White and Chris Johnson are two very good running backs, but they aren't as valuable as other players that should receive the award. Also, Collins was a step up from Vince Young at QB. Kerry Collins brought veteran leadership and maturity. He didn't risk as much as Young, which yielded no costly turnovers.

This could be a shake-up week in the MVP race. Both Kurt Warner and Drew Brees did not perform well this week. Maybe new faces are starting to emerge.

Michael Turner? Adrian Peterson? DeAngelo Williams? Maybe even Eli Manning?

Although I love Turner as a back and as a all around athlete. But I don't think that he's MVP worthy, Turner is not the only player on the Falcons bringing them into the playoff picture, Ryan is a great football player and can have a game put on his shoulders to be one, for example letting him do no-huddle offense's.
