"Occasionally reading a lot of books comes in handy. Makes you a better thinker." Once again he was surprised at how different she felt in his hands then one of his family members. Even with the females, the curves were all the same and the weight about equal. But he never fought not to blush with family, even though not a single one of them was related by blood. "Four years eh? You do not look a day past 2." Perhaps it was her elder status that kept her in good looks. A very intriguing observation. All at once he remembered where he was and quickly let go of her waist, feeling his face warm slightly with embarrassment. Sometimes being a better thinker had its bad points. He let go of the dark orb inside of him to release the shadow horse from its mold, and opened the basket to find a red and white checkered blanket. Tristen had gone all out. "Shall I start setting up our meal?"

Ivy laughed again, "That makes perfect sense." She thought he was pretty smart and funny. She felt pretty relaxed around him already. "Well, thank you. I don't feel much more than two either." She smiled at his tiny blush and then watch the horse disappear. "Yes, do you want my help." Around where they were flowers popped up to make the are more cozy.

"If you'd like." He set down the basket before pulling out the blanket. He took two ends of it before handing the other two ends to the elder. "If you get that end, we'll get it wrinkle free a good deal faster." With that, he opened his side and fanned it out. The flowers were a nice touch. Made the day almost feel like spring.

"Sounds good." She took the two other ends and shook the blanket out. She smiled at Raken as they laid the blanket out. It was nice to spend time like this. Raken was a good companion. She wondered if he liked her and then blushed to herself. She hadn't had thoughts like this in such a long time. She could even remember when she had been embarrassed and blushed so much. "What's next?"

The male stole glances at the slightly taller female as they laid the blanket down, trying to be discreet. She was so... Don't go there Raken. "Well..." He looked around and picked up a rock a little bigger then a fist. "We'll need three more of these or bigger to put on each corner. So the blanket wont fly away when we're not on it with a gust of wind. So...while I do that, how about you set out the food? Or the other way 'round."

Ivy looked at the rock in his hand and nodded. "Yeah, ok." She felt like a teen again. She liked feeling young and free. "I'll put out the food and you can find the stones." She went over to the basket and pulled out different packages. She places the plate ware and silverware down and sat next to one setting.

The feeling was mutual, only he felt like...well, a young adult. That was when Fre found him. He walked around until he found the three other rocks before walking back over, tail twitching slightly. "Well...we at least know who made this." He spoke dryly, eyeing the food as he set down the rocks to their respective corners. It was an explosion of pink and heart shapes. Pink decorated heartshaped cookies, heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with pink food dyed bread, and strawberries which already were vaguely heartshaped and red. Not to mention the pre-cut heartshaped watermellon slices and red grapes. He couldn't change the shape of the grapes, but he was sure to put them in a heart shaped container. "Sometimes I think that brother of mine has a serious mental condition." Raken muttered under his breath as he sat down on the blanket which seemed to have exploded love.

Ivy giggled at the explosion of love and pink on the table. "Well, it sure is festive." She didn't think sh had ever eaten so many foods in heart shapes before. She smiled more when she realized there was no meat, "How did he know I don't eat meat?" She was a vegetarian, which could seem odd since she could talk to the very thing she ate. Usually though she replaced plants and veggies by making more.

"He didn't." The male almost chuckled, settling instead for a slight grin as he picked up a grape. "The fae can't cook to save his life. He knows how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from when I made them when he was a kid. Thats about it." He popped the grape into his mouth before he looked at what was to drink. Was that pink champagne?! The male picked up the wine bottle to read the label and exhale a sigh of releif. "Sparkling pomegrante juice. With a typed up, taped on label saying pink champagne. Should have known better upon seeing he replaced the g with an i and forgot the e."

"Oh, well, then that's just lucky." She smiled and bite into the pick sandwich. "I don't think I've eaten a pink sandwich before." Ivy then picked her glass and handed it over. "I would like some." It sounded interesting anyway. She loved fruit, so a fruity drink must be good.

"I don't think I've met a vegetarian pae before." He smiled back as he took her glass. Setting it down infront of him, he popped the plastic cork off before spilling the fizzing liquid into the champagne glass. He filled a second before setting the bottle down and offering her glass back. After a moment, he then picked up his own and held it up. "A toast...to thank my younger brother Tristen for his efforts."

"Lot's of firsts then, huh?" You wouldn't think Ivy had too many first left in her, but there you go. You just never know what you'll find. She smiled and clinked her glass to his, "To Tristen, maybe all his efforts will pay off." She then took a small drink and giggled. "It's bubbly."

He..wasn't sure how to take that response. He drank to it anyway, oddly hoping she meant it in the way he thought she did. "Not too bad...Sandwich? If you'd like, I'll take the first bite of another to make sure its edible." Joking of course. He didn't think Tristen would mess up his favorite treat THAT badly.

Ivy laughed and smelled the sandwich, didn't smell bad at all. "It seems fine. I think I'll take my chance." She took a small bite and smiled, "It's really good. I have had a peanut butter and jelly in a while." Never a pink one, but that was beside the point.

"You know...I taught him this..." He took a bite of sandwich, chewed and swallowed before chasing it with juice. "The sandwich thing...I basically raised him and his twin sister. I didn't know how to cook back then...so never fed them anything except premade food, fruit, and those sandwiches." He always made it seem like it was a nuisance taking care of them...but at that moment, his face was gentle, his tone soft. He'd do anything for his family. He cared for that rediculous fae of love...and his now twisted sister.
