'She could have turned back if she wanted to...after she got free...she just...didn't...'
Nalini gave the other vampire a grateful smile, and slipped the cloak on. She pulled the hood up, tucking her pure white hair out of the way, and allowe the hood to flop down over her eyes.
'I'll want to see you at midnight,' Azlyn suddenly added. 'There's something else I need to show you.'
Nalini gave her a strange look, but it was too late, for Azlyn had already turned her back and walked away.
Under the pitch black sky, the cover of night, Nalini finally felt calmer. She felt happier, free, for only those who knew what she now was, were those who were exactly the same. The sun had set hours ago, and and so with that, and the fact that she had not been dragged into a bloodlust related fight for a few days meant that there was nothing around to hurt her.
The hood had now been pushed back, as her waist length white hair tumbled over her shoulders, and down her back. She turned when she heard soft footsteps, noticing Azlyn approaching, and wondered what it was that the elder vampire still had to teach her.

It seems a bit... cold, yes.
*He began to shiver a little, but was unsure if it was the actual temperature or a simple foreboding*

She held her gloved hands over his own, wishing her teenage self would realise what a two timing, back stabbing piece of s**t her so called 'friend' would soon reveal herself to be.
'Tell me, Nalini, have you felt...lighter, as of late?' Azlyn mysteriously inquired. 'As though you weigh a fraction of what you did as a human? As though you might rise up off the ground at any given moment?'
'I've not been as...heavy on my feet, since I was turned, that's true,' Nalini replied. Her expression was confused, as she waited to see just what it was that Azlyn was alluding to.
Realising so, the elder vampire gave no explanation, but instead hovered a few feet off the ground. She eerily glided over, enjoying the bewildered look on Nalini's face.
'What in the world...?'
'This is what else I wanted to show you,' Azlyn said, still in mid-air. 'We vampires...have the gift of flight. Try it. Close your eyes, and envisage taking flight, imagine swooping off the grass.'

'I'll feed soon enough,' Nalini replied with a heavy sigh, and refused to meet Azlyn's eyes.
She turned away from the elder vampire, and sat down on the edge of a wooden table. There was another vampire watching her with a dark grin, and he began idly throwing and catching a blade in one hand. Nalini watched him do so, without trying to make it obvious that she was.
He held her gaze for a moment, the grin widening, and threw the knife at her. She jerked her hand out of the way with a gasp, yet the steel still tore through her thumb. She hissed in pain, examining the deep mark, as her eyes glowed scarlet. Thick blood trickled down to her wrist, as her bloodlust began to awaken.
Azlyn was right...it had been too long since she last fed...
She licked her thumb clean, and stalked out of the building, out into the starless night. The red hue of her eyes grew deeper, as she became more dangerous.
The sensation of insatiable bloodlust had overwhelmed her completely, until she was no longer able to think of anything else. Just the crimson life fluid that flowed through the veins of every human…
'I can't do this any more,' Nalini muttered, finally turning away. 'I...I know what comes next.'

*He was might curious as to what it is she was attempting to escape, but he didnt wish to force her through reliving it*

She pulled her eyes away from the scene, as her teenage self prowled around outside, sticking to the shadows, and eyed somebody else who was walking alone, unwittingly heading to their death.
Nalini clapsed MK's hands in her own, and flinched horribly when she heard a stifled yell of surprise, as her past self leapt out to attack her walking meal.

*The crystal sphere appeared around them again, and it was fairly quick that it left this place and took MK and Nalini along for the ride*

Once the girl's surprised shriek had been safely cut off, the teenaged Nalini hauled her back into the shadows, a demonic expression upon her face. She held one hand to the girl's throat, tightly squeezing it, Nalini's prey uttering a few choked noises.
Her hands flew up to the vampire's own, trying to loosen the almost unbearable pressure on her trachea, but all to no avail.
She eventually fell silent again, realising that Nalini was not going to let her go, that she would be lucky to escape with her life. And when Nalini was satisfied that she was not going to yell again, she released her hold. She knew that the malicious flicker in her eyes would keep her meal safely quiet, that even if she still could actually scream, she no longer would.

Nalini lunged for the girl's throat; not gently, like her own attack had, but roughly, desperately. Her fangs ruined flesh and pierced the jugular, blood gushing out. It poured messily out of the wound, down her throat, down Nalini's chin, into the vampire's mouth.
Nalini felt an overwhelming sensation of joy as she fed, which she found was only heightened by the terrified girl's occasional whimper that escaped her lips.
She only released her quarry once the last flicker of life had drained from her, once the final drop of blood had been spilt. She knew that she had been careless, but she cared not.
