Ilori got his shirt off, then promptly put his head under it in a mock-hide, "I hope you're not the scary Lochness Lion!!"
He peered out as she stepped in, then took out a huge breath, "Oh, thank goodness, you didn't turn green, lean, mean, gooey lion. My turn!"
Flinging the clothes away from him, he jumped up and pounded into the water, splashing up onto the cub as much as possible as he went past her. "Oh, no, I think I feel myself shifting!" He called then ducked under water with a grin.

Alex Watched Ilori with a giggle she was having a lot of fun she flicked her tail behind her and sniffed the water while he was fighting with her shirt. She was some what afraid of something popping out of the water.
She almost jumpped when he spoke. "Of course not!" That would be my sister... She thought about the mood changes her sister had been having lately. It pissed her off some times. She smiled at the male and laughed.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were that lion." She stuck her tongue out at him. Before taking slow steps more into the water. That was until she felt her leg brush against something. She let out a scream. Almost jumping out of her fur and quickly turning around toward the shore.

Ilori leapt out of the water at the cub's scream, jumping forward to the edge of the pond. He took a quick assessment before turning around with a growl and snap to face whatever it was that had scared her out of the water like that.
"Leave the lioness alone!" He snapped at the empty waters.
After a second or two, he looked back at Alex Zander, drooped his head and ears down and sniffed at the water, then looked back at her again. "Was it a biting fish?" He queried, feeling silly now for having over reacted at her squeal. He trod over to sniff at her.

Alex looked at him before licking her lips and the water off of her coat she was calming down some but she could feel chills go over her. "I don't know. It was probably nothing." She laughed at herself before glancing at him with a small smile at him. "Its alright." She laughed again before pulling her glasses toward herself and slipping them back on.

Ilori gave an embarrassed laugh back at Alex Zander, "Probably a fish or stick. Come, let's swim!"
Eager as a cub, he bounded back into the waters, "You're not afraid of Lochness Lion, are you? I will protect you from any creature that lurk." He splashed around in the water, "Any evil lions here?" He demanded, then shook his head, "Nope. Just a folk tale to scare infants away from waters when their parents aren't near."
He ducked back in and paddled further out.

"Probably." She murmured taking off her glasses again gently putting them down on the pule of clothes that she had. She looked at him and huffed slightly. "I'm not a infant!" She giggled before moving forward so that she was up next to him poking into the water a slittle more slower than the male but still getting into it.

Ilori chuckled at Alex Zander again, then ducked under water a second time just to prove his point. "I'll dive for---" He dunked under again, "The Lochness Lion---" Dunk. "To make sure he isn't---" Dunk, and so went the chatting...
"No Lochness Lion here!" .... "It is just a fable." .... "So there's no---" ... "Whhaaa----!!!!"
The last was Ilori's wild splashing as he'd apparently meant to continue the up and down bob-talking, but this time he flailed around. Something had his leg! Something had his leg! And it felt green and slimy and just got more tangled when he tried to push it.
He managed, at the very least, to get his muzzle above the water, "Le'goLe'go!!!"

Alex watched him getting a little better at him 'fending it off' She was paying close attention to him she didn't want to walk and then something pull at her again. She looked down at the water around her as he dunked in and out of the water. She didn't see anything wrong... It seemed fine...
That was until she heard his frantic voice.
She let out a squeal of a scream. Her long pelt standing up on end and she dashed for the shore. Running as fast as she could and ending up behind a rock not that far away. Big enough for her to hide behind.

Ilori continued to panic some more moments, flailing and trying to keep his nose above water. When this didn't work immediately, his "flight" instinct turned into a "fight" one and he spun inside the water to snap at the awful Lochness Lion that had him!
Underwatery flail of front paws and---Oh, that cut right through. WELL! Massive-large-cat-flail-attack!!
Without having to come up for air since ducking for the fight, Ilori had bopped up and seemed in one motion to somehow be well onto the shore. He stopped, and started shaking his rear leg, whapping at it with a front paw, "I think I cut it's arm off and it's still holding me!" He yelled.
He hadn't had the chance to see the tentacle-like sea growth attached to his leg.

Alex was scared out of her mind. She closed her eyes tightly shaking from both the cold wind on her wet pelt and out of fear. She didn't peak over until she heard his voice. She was glad to see him but then looked at what was around his leg. Carefully edging over to him with her ears pinned back. "Are you okay?" She asked moving to the kelp wrapped around his ankle and sniffing at it. "I think its just a water-plant..."

Ilori was panting, but nodded and her question. He made a face, "A water-pant? Just a water-plant that tried to eat me." He looked out into the water, ears laid back too, "Maybe there is something to those old rumors. Mmm..."
He reached down and bit off the rest of the plant, pushing it downwards too, "Maybe we should stay out of the water for now."

Alex nodded to him. She looked down at her pelt and started to lick it clean looking up at him. "Yeah I have to agree we should." She said in a half cough before looking at her clothes then at the sky. "Oh no! Its almost dark." She flattened her ears. "I have to go. Mama said to be home before dark." She moved to her clothes slipping on the shirt and then worming into her pants and putting on her glasses. "It was fun! We should hang out again." She flashed him a grin.

Ilori returned the grin, "It was a lot of fun! I'll stop by again some time!" With that he started to shake himself off to get rid of excess water, then also wiggled into his shirt, "And I'll make sure it is not after a hidden moon." He chuckled a bit then waved his farewells.
Well, he hadn't managed not to make a complete fool of himself, but at the very least he'd finally not made a meeting end with yet another enemy.
Except maybe the terrifying Lochness Lion.

Alex Zander giggled slightly at the male before nodding to him and turning around. Taking a moment to readjust to her glasses before letting out a farewell chuff and trotting off toward where she came from. She was glad that she made a new friend. Those were always good to have. A smile was on her face as she continued away.
