"Haha, don't too cocky Crowe!!" she called out to him, noticing from the corner of her eye that he was catching up. She then started speeding up, starting to pull ahead of him. The light reflecting off the water caught her attention and she honestly couldn't wait to hop in for a cool swim.

He couldn't help but chuckle to himself. She had a bit of feistiness to her, he had to give her that. Crowe increased the size of his strides to cover more ground to keep pace with Sunny.
He was itching to dive into that cool, refreshing water. And then, an idea sprung to mind that made a big mischievous grin slowly grow across his face, which he did little to conceal. "Just don't be overly confident is all I'm saying, darlin'." He chimed with a laugh.

She was getting tired, but she wasn't going to let it show, she could cool down in the water once she got there. She chuckled as she continued to run forward, "Not over-confident, I just know what I can do!" she said with a smile on her face.

The river was within reach. It was then when Crowe decided to enact his plan. With a few large bounds, he extended his dark wings and took to the air. The male angled himself to glide over Sunny and scooped her up. He coasted the final few feet over the river before folding his wings, plunging them both into the water at the same time. He had assured a tie.
Once they hit the water, he surfaced with a big goofy smile on his face.

Poor Sunny was caught off guard when she suddenly felt paws wrapping around her and she was lifted off the ground, even though she wasn't using her wings this time. She flailed her legs about and squealed in slight fright, but she closed her eyes when they both hit the water.
She surfaced, shaking water from her face and coughing some of it up. She looked over at Crowe and splashed the water at his face, "That wasn't fair at all!!" she exclaimed.

Crowe blinked and shook his head at the water splashed at his face. He simply smiled easily and chuckled softly. "That may be, but if you look at the big picture, we have a tie on our hands. We both neither won, nor lost."
He swam over to a stone that rose up out of the water and half pulled himself up out of the water, giving his wings a shake, sending a fine spray of droplets into the water around him. "I do apologize if I startled you, Sunny."

Sunny swam to shore and once she was out of the water, did her best to shake the water from her fur and wings, though she was still pretty wet. "Well, if we are tied, what are we going to do about our wager?" she asked, trying to squeeze some water from her braid.

Even in spite of his shaking, his fur and wings were still water logged. Sure, if properly cleaned his feathers could keep out a bit of rain, but diving headlong into a river was more than his natural water barriers could take. Crowe leapt from the stone to the shore and shook again.
"Why, that's easy, m'dear. We both won so I guess we both fulfill what we asked of each other for potential prizes. So, I either get to spend more time with you or get to meet your extended family and you either get to come meet my family or I have to go find you a blue and purple flower. Sounds about right?"

Sunny backed up when he came to shore and shook himself again, not wanting get more water on her. She didn't mind being wet, she just didn't want to catch a cold if she got anymore water on her. Once she was sure she got enough water squeezed out of her braid and ribbon, she sat down and shook her head again to get some water from her ears. "Hmmm, I suppose that is true, but what to pick?" she asked.

"Up to you really. We could do both of each other's terms of victory. You could come meet my family and I could find you the best blue and purple flower these meadows have to offer. And I, in turn, could both spend time with you and meet your extended family. That way neither of us has to choose one way or another. Of course, I'm open to just about whatever." Crowe flashed a bit of a smile before he took to wringing out his braid.
"What say you, Sunny?"

She squeezed some water from the hair going down her shoulders and she thought about what he said, "Well....how about what you said, we spend more time together, meet each others familes and you find me that flower, that way we both are happy!" she said.

Crowe laughed and nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me." He stretched his wings out to the full length in the sunlight to dry them faster. Once satisfied that his hair was dry enough from him to not become ill, he smiled to her. "So, we should be plan these get togethers? I have no major plans for any time soon."

She let her hair go once it was dry enough and looked over at him. Smiling, she nodded her head, "I don't have anything major planned either. How about in two days, we meet here and I can go with you to meet your family?" she asked.

Crowe gave her suggestion a quick thinking over and nodded with a confident grin. "Perfect. I'll be waiting here for you in two days time. Tobias and Bakari will be expecting us then. I know that they'll be excited to meet you. We can discuss when I'll be able to see your family then as well."

Sunny smiled and nodded her head, "Alright, that sounds good!" She looked to the sky and saw the sun had moved some while she was spending time with him, "Well, I better head on home, I'll let my family know that I will have a friend coming to meet them soon! Take care Crowe!" she said, standing up, going over to him and kissing his cheek goodbye. With that she turned, and bounded off.
