BassFu ZeroofHate BassFu R0bert You need a new deathcore list, kwd is horrible imo(their vocalist is horrible). Listen to some Whitechapel. There shouldn't even be a Deathcore list, Deathcore shouldn't even be music. I rather agree. It's not really my kinda music. No I mean Metalcore is already a genre, breaking it down further is assinine especially when all of the "Deathcore" bands don't sound any different than Metalcore band. You've got a point. Although that could make for some pretty funny Genres. (Powercore, Vikingcore, etc.)

You compared Death to CoB? Oh my.
I wouldn't really compare them like that at all, I mean what albums are you listening to? Yes, Death did eventually move away from the "RARRGGH KILL KILL KILL" s**t, but every band has to eventually move on to evolve. I actually think that Death went more death metal when they started writing more introspective and cosmic music, rather than the one dimensional Cannibal Corpse lyrical content.

You know, before the scene got stupid. "True" isn't referring to bands that started the genre, but rather bands that are more like the original sound of Death metal.

Where to you think the term "Death Metal" came from? It originated as people describing "Death's Metal" because they had a style all their own. Death is the grandfather of Death Metal as Dio is the grandfather of metal in general. Listen, brother, I mean this in no offense. If you wanna argue with Zero and I about Death metal, you'd better study up. Or better yet, argue with me about sludge metal. Har har. @Robbie: No u. Even though Death Released their first demo in 1983 it sounds more extreme thrash rather than what we would call Death Metal, so I often refer Possessed as the Godfather ;P.
