Quote: Just because you don't live in a country, doesn't mean you aren't loyal to it. Just look at America's Revolutionary War. Most, if not all, Americans in that time came from Britain, and many were loyal to Britain more than they were to America. And just because one person made something doesn't mean they can keep it all for themselves and believe it's perfect. Just look at another Asian made thing: black powder. When other people got a hold of it, they made it better than the Chinese did. They made guns with it, and soon, the guns got into Asian hands. So we gave you your cartoons, you made it better, and gave it to us. A real Asian wouldn't mind anyway. By Americans cosplaying as your characters, we're giving you praise at what you've done. By buying your anime and bringing to our country, we're helping your economy. ^ What I said about that. Also, all of the images he showed were of Female characters.

I noticed it.
And if by his logic on how all Asians are skinny, small and beautiful, then I highly doubt there would be any guys who could cosplay as the muscular characters in anme. However, we know that not all Asian guys are like that, but by saying this, we're proving his logic to be false.
There's also anime such as Fullmetal Alchemist with characters that aren't Asian- they're European.

Good point, the reason that probably didn't notice that he post all female charaters is because either I was dozing off or I had my mind on something else.

The topic's deleted, but I can tell what he said based on your posts. .-.
Cosplay is for FUN. As long as you do it in a relatively sane manner, like that Felicia cosplayer who wasn't wearing ANYTHING UNDERNEATH, it's fine. Geez. Anime is not the most important thing ever, and fans are fans and can do whatever the hell they want to, for the most part. I also agree with what everyone else said.
Also, I'm Asian, and though I really am short, I have a bit of flub and definitely do not look like the stereotypical pretty Asian girl. Not saying that I'm ugly, or anything, but you know what I mean, right? @_@;

Of course. I've sorta got the same thing (probably a bit more, but LET'S SKIP THOSE DETAILS). I somewhat agree that you should be reasonable with your cosplays (like, if you're an older man, it'd be odd to cosplay Sailor Moon or another magical girl), but really. You're not going to look EXACTLY like the person you cosplay. Something's ALWAYS going to be different. And him treating it like it's serious business (JUST LIKE THE INTERNET) is just... ugh. ><

I plan on cosplaying as Sabin Rene Figaro from Final Fantasy 6 sometime. I'm kind of chubby instead of muscular and I have black hair instead of blond, but I don't really care. EDIT: LAWL HE STARTED IT AGAIN!

Going by the gist of what the topic was about I agree with everyone else. Cosplaying is for fun its to show how much you appreciate and like certain things. Granted some people my do it better then others but the basis is that everyone doing it because its fun and their fans.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. I usually keep a main one. Standard. But that doesn't matter. For I want to propose this questio- Wait, I just remembered Saturnos' post about sideways blue hair. Made me laugh. Again. The question- Who's going to cosplay Fefga?
