shomeru Mushroom Flavored Water skie 0 i can see why the models are short and skinny, that is what people want to see, and thats what the magazines want to show. i know it's not fun for us to see, but it is the case (studies media ^^). I've got an extreme hourglass figure, i have a 10" difference between my bust/hips and waist! and i'm always 2 odd inches away from being able to fit into an authentic dress. I'm 5'5", and even my height is concidered tall. In Japan obviously most of the people there are short, so i guess thats what the models are going to be. Short and petite.
I think all women should have a small belly to them, it adds character (:
...sorry if this doesn't answer any questions >> Me too!!
my measurements are 36-22-32. Its hard to find good loli stuff that will fit correctly 3 measurements i thought there were only two??? now im confuzzled bust, waist, hips.

hey guys sorry about me and my spamming the boards i didnt know and i will try not to do it any more sweatdrop
soo babk to the top of the quote from skie in japan the models are short and petite when in the US the models are all tall usualy taller than 5'5" so yea between the two different cultures i would have to say that being in the middle would be the best like 5"3" maybe would be a great size for a loli in the US and in japan maybe 5'0" would be the ideal size buy if you are into the style it doesnt matter how talll you are or how short you are i think that if you like it your size shouldnt matter, or your shape it how you feel and if you are having fun well thats what i think it should be

lol it is all true! I think if someone likes the fashion, go for it! But...i have to say sometimes it makes me cringe seeing someone whos a little on the heavy side wearing an outrageous sweet lolita costume with so much lace it's unbearable...i think people like that should try and stick to black, cause one it makes you look smaller than you are, and two sweet lolita is to make people look young and sweet, whereas if your quite big (no offence to anyone on this board) it looks a tad out of place. But as time goes on and cultures merge more, it wont become such an issue and everyone will be accepted as a Lolita no matter what size or height ^^ I think that people should be aloud to do what they please, if they want to wear lolita then do so, just consider how people see it rather than how you think you look, because some people can either take is as an offence or just think your a bit odd..lol..
-hugs and kisses to anyone i may of offended...-

Lolis should be whatever size and shape they happen to be. I think there should be a bigger emphasis on being comfortable with yourself and less of an emphasis on conforming to impossible beauty standards anyway.

I'm five foot three inches. I hate it. Being short sucks and even if I was just right for the fashion I wouldn't like being short. I can deal with it but I just wish I was like six foot. That'd make me happy. Well I guess I can buy some platforms and then wish for a growth spurt!
