Emmet scratched his cheek, looking around them at the rides and the games and everything else there was to do. Well, Izzy didn't know what to do, and Emmet did want to keep playing...so he decided to find something that seemed like fun for them.
"Whattabout that?" He suggested, shifting his chicken to one arm so he could point to a funhouse with the other. Emmet didn't know what a fun house was, but it certainly caught Riley's attention when the snakeling pointed it out. It was one of those buildings where everyroom was different; some might be angled, upside down completely, and there was probably some sort of obsticle course room or a room of balls. It looked like fun from the outside; all colourful and whatnot with a questionable clown's face over the door.

Izzy tilted her head. Hrm. Well, she had absolutely no idea what would be inside that creepy-silly building, but she was sure it would be okay with a friend!
"Otay," she said, grabbing Emmet's hand and leading him toward the entrance ramp. The woman working the counter checked their arm bands and then held the door open for them.

Emmet grasped Izzy's hand and followed her into the building...and once they were inside, the 'fun' began.
The first room they went into was the obstacle one. There were lighter punching bags hanging from the ceiling, one every foot or so, covering the entire room and low enough to be a hinderance for the two little ones. Emmet slithered through the room with Izzy, occassionally grunting when a bag bumped into him after having a sort of dominoe affect from another bag that had been moved earlier. They would have had a hard time finding the doorway to another room; twice they found the entrance again, and on the third shot they managed to get out of the punching bag room. Lucky them!
The next room was the angled room. Emmet had a particularily tough time with this one, clinging to whoever or whatever he could find to try and keep himself from slipping. If he were older he probably wouldn't have had any issue with it, but he was still a young little snake. Luckily the builders had put in tables and such, like it was once a living room but had somehow...slipped. It was disorienting finding the next room.
Which wasn't Emmet's favourite room. It was dark, very very dark. There was only the light of the angled room shown in, and in the distance was a little red light that showed them where the exit was. The little snakeling whined, clinging to Izzy with one hand and the other reaching out in front of him to pat at the maze-like walls that took them around the room before letting them out of the dark room. Thank god. He was trying to keep a brave face for his new friend, but he wanted more than anything to scream. But he had to be a good boy! Brave for Izzy! Riley was always telling him to be brave.
But a little cry did escape his lips when, right after the dark room, they were intorduced to a ball room. The entrance into the ball room was slopped, and Emmet wasn't maying enough attention to notice it...until he slipped and ended up face first into the little balls that littered the room. Whining, he pushed his way back up, reorienting himself. After that first little surprise, the ball room was fun! A little ball fight ensued, and with static-straight hair they managed to get out and into the upside down room.
Not as fun, but definitely interesting. The decorators were good; it looked like the plates on the table on the ceiling had bacon and eggs on them. Emmet got a giggle out of that, and played with the ceiling fan on the floor for a little bit before it got boring, and they opted for the next room.
The next room was strange, filled with spirals and tops and things that spin. The second half of the room and the corridor that lead to the exit was a giant tunnel, spinning lazily. Emmet stared at it wide-eyed, then looked over at Izzy to see what her reaction to the giant tunnel was.

Izzy didn't much like the first room. Annoying bags kept hitting her in the face, and damned if they could find the way out! When they finally did, though, she gave a relieved sigh. Izzy didn't have much trouble with the angled room herself, having her iron grip going on, and helped Emmet through the slippy living room.
As for the darkness? She didn't have much problem with the darkness, but Emmet didn't seem happy at all. She held his hand hard and patted him, hugging him when they'd worked their way into a corner. Once they'd gotten out, Izzy gave a proud "you were very braAAAAAAH" as she was yanked down into the ball pit. Now THAT was fun! They spent a good amount of time there, and then headed for the exit. Izzy stared at the twirling tube and bit apprehensively.
"You go first. You have belly-grippies."

Emmet looked back at Izzy when she invited him to go first, then at the tunnel. He gave the moving tunnel a face, wondering if this was a good idea or not...it'd be hard to keep his balance in there! Taking a deep breath Emmet slithered forward and onto the moving plastic, frantically trying to keep his balance in there and not to roll.

Izzy clapped and cheered for him like Yeesha had when they played ball.
"Good job! You goddit!"

When Izzy cheered for him, he looked over his shoulder at her, and for a moment he lost his balance. Luckily he got it back before he started rolling, and before he knew it he was on the other side, on safe, solid and unmoving ground.
Though he was a little dizzy.
"Iddy comin?"

Izzy watched. Oh, man, that was so scary-looking! She sighed and nodded, getting down on all fours and beginning to crawl. OH GOD! SHE WAS SLIPPING! ...and up the side Izzy went, up to the top, her legs flopping, back down, back up the side. She laughed. Yay, grippy hands!

The little snakeling watched his new friend start to cross the tunnel. His eyes widened when she started going up with it, then was hanging over it, then back down. A snickering smile twitched its way onto his lips, and after a moment or two Emmet started to really laugh.
"So cool, Iddy!" He laughed out, clapping his hands for her and her really neat skill.

When she got to the bottom, Izzy crawled forward two steps, and then held on to the ride. Laughing hysterically, she waited to reach the bottom again, and then moved forward with two big handslaps. She did this again and again until she finally gout out, sliding face-first and stopping herself with her hands.
"That was fun!" she giggled.

Emmet laughed whenever she went along with the ride, bending down to help her back to her feet after she fell. "Like spider man!" He commented with a giggle. "Only...you're notta spider." Emmet mused, then looked away. "S-still cool." He offered shyly, then headed towards the exit with her once they were ready to leave.

Izzy held Emmet's hand, and yelped and jumped back when the skies suddenly opened. Children and parents everywhere yelled in offense as rain began to pour down in uncomfortable warm, heavy sheets.
"EEK!"
Henri rushed over, grabbing Izzy and holding her close to him, picking Emmet up too as a second thought. Ick! Rain!

Emmet gave a squeak of his own when it started pouring, and just as he was going to try and find a place to take cover, he was picked up by Izzy's father. Suddenly picked up, Emmet gave a much deeper cry of surprise and froze for a moment, unsure of what to do; he hadn't recognized Henri right away, and being picked up by a supposed stranger scared him.
Riley was quick to Henri's side, his eyes squinting against the rain. He took Emmet from the other man, and the little snakeling was quick to cling onto Riley, his tail around the male's waist. The military man then backed up to stand under the overhang of one of the buildings, directing Henri along with him. It was the closest cover he could find.
"Great." Riley muttered sarcastically. "So I guess that means thats all for today, huh?" Emmet heard this and whined a bit, he had fun with Izzy today!

Henri took a couple of wobbling steps toward Riley. s**t. Shitshitshit. He could already feel his thighs shifting to accommodate the sudden rush of water. He couldn't make it. He just couldn't. The man placed his daughter gently down and scandalously enough, stripped off his pants. His underwear had already been torn, and beneath it was nothing but a smooth surface of seafoam-teal iridescent scales. Said scales traveled, moving down his legs, fusing them until Henri was forced to curl up a strangely mer-like tail and use nothing but good balance and his well-muscled arms to carry himself.
"Well. This is quite embarrassing."
Izzy just went over and pet her daddy's tail like she always did. She liked it! Why was it embarrassing?!

Riley stared at Henri with obvious confusion. Why did he take his pants off? Why did---oh. Both Riley and Emmet watched poor Henri's legs meld together as the scales progressed down. Both were unsure of what to say, but Emmet was the one who pipped up first.
"Like me!" He giggled, wiggling to try and get down from Riley. The little snakeling didn't know the difference between Snakes and Merpeople, but he did know they both had scaley tails...and Izzy liked the tail so it was a good thing. The little boy was quick to go to Izzy's side, his index finger pressed to the side of his lips in curiousity, his tongue flickering in and out of his lips as if trying to get an idea of what was going on.
"Uhh...You're a Merperson?" Riley said somewhat stupidly; anyone would, if someone just suddenly lost their legs in place of a finned tail! He shook his head. "I mean, not that its bad or anything. Need any help, Henri?" What else could he offer? Finding that Dunk game to serve as a fish bowl? As if.
