Rolling her eyes at her alpha she continued to eat. Finally finishing up eating. She licked her muzzle of the blood and decided to go and sit by the new comer. "So you're this Ark I've heard about. It's a pleasure to meet you I'm Starla."

Len let a slow growl escape his teeth towards Starla, him more serious now. He'd given her an order which she did not abide, for some reason, Len found it hard to not snap at her. Restraining himself with ease he went to finish his fill.
Ark watched Len carefully and backed more off the food. Staring blankly at Starla, he smiled. "Its a pleasure Starla. And have you? Len mentioned discussing me other but he left out the details. Care to update me?" He said with a more encouraging, gentlemen smile.

Hearing Len's growl was a surprise she hadn't expected him to be so upset. So she quickly made up her mind. "He just mentioned that you were his brother. That's about all." Lowering her ears and tail she laid down and made sure to stay there until Len told her to do something else. After all she didn't want to upset her alpha more.

Len began eating, staring at the neck muscles and working down to the shoulders. He hadn't realized how long it'd been sensed he'd eaten anything like big game. The last meal he ate was a squirrel a few days ago. He was lucky that it was Ark who had found them. If it was a fit, male helix, Len doesn't know if he'd had the strength for an all out fight.
Ark watched Starla's reaction to Len's growl. Nodding softly, he understood. Or at least he could guess. It this was a lone adolescent who had never been part of a real pack, she wouldn't know the rules very clearly. That or she just didn't know Len very well. Len trys to be as laid back as possible but he'll quickly turn his mood.

Staying in her place she started to think. What had she done to upset him so much? Oh well she could only hope he wouldn't be to angry at her for she was only talking to his brother who he was thinking of having join their pack so she thought that by talking to him she was doing a good thing. Welcoming a brother and a possible pack memeber.

Len started to feel his stomach pains fade and replaced with a full feeling. He continued to pick at the rib bones as he waited to be satisfied completely. He didn't know how much more it would be, before the next hunt and he wanted to be prepared. He just noticed Ark's hungry look. Sure he was big but he was slightly gammy. His fur provided him with protection but he could still see the faint outline of his ribs. Getting to his feet, Len sat down in front of Ark. "It seems Starla and I both are full. Would you like the rest brother?" Len asked, tilting his head slightly to the left.
Ark looked towards Len with a grateful smile. "If its not going to impose.." he said and eased towards the hide and hind legs of the buck. His long sharp fangs easily tore into the flesh and deep into the muscles. Tightening his jaw, Ark ripped the meat straight from the bone. Placing his chunk on the ground, between his paws, Ark laid down and state to chew. It had been about a week sense he'd eaten. He was more focused on feeding a young pup he'd found some weeks ago. The poor thing had no family and was on the brink of death. Most food he found would go straight to her mouth. This was an acceptation because he was growing to week to hunt for prey. He would still carry a large portion to her on his return. He remember clearly the promise he made to Len, and he planned on keeping it. But a factor had changed and he would have to deal with himself, plus Victoria, or neither of them will join his small pack.

Watching him eat she suddenly smelled a pup. How had she not noticed it before? It was only one but still it was a pup. Feeling deep down a maternal instict kicking in she tryed very hard not to growl. This male had left a pup all by itself and that was not exceptable. Watching as he seemed almost lost in eating she slowly approched her alpha making sure her belly was low to the ground. "He smells like a pup doesn't he? I'm trying very hard not to go and find this pup myself. What shall I do Alpha?"

Len looked at Starla, the anger faded from his expression already. ".. Yes. You'll need to stay put. I'm sure he knows already we can smell the little one.. Just wait for him to tell us and we'll ask to see it." Len remembered the earlier incident with the food. "Thats an order Starla." he told her in a authoritative attitude. "Now-" He was cut off by Ark.
Ark heard a portion of the conversation, mostly Len. He mentioned something about waiting for him to tell them. Confused slightly, Ark scarfed down what he thought he could hold and stood. "Len?" Ark interjected at his mid sentence. "..We need to start discussing your pack, do you agree?" Ark asked with a gentle and defensive expression.

"Very well Len." She agreed instantly so as not to anger him again. Glancing at Ark she decided to keep her mouth shut and let Len handle it afterall he was the alpha and founder of the pack. But though she knew this she couldn't help but let her tail wag even if her instincts told her to snap at him for leaving a little on on their own.

Len stiffened slightly before nodding, her crimson fur flowing in a light breeze. "Yes.. I was going to ask you Ark.. If you would join our small pack." Len's eyes centered on Ark's, trying to read them but they gave no hint of the answer. Len sat down, trying to be as patient as possible but wasn't very good at it.
Ark furrowed his eyebrows in thought and he looked to the ground for something to stare at. He thought about how Victoria would react to the addition to the pack. She didn't share's Ark's attention all to well. But Ark did need help with her. He need help to feed her and watch her when he couldn't. He wasn't the most wonderful parent but he was at least trying. "Len.. I have adopted a young helix as my own. She's a real handful but I refuse to leave her now, at her most vulnerable moment. She has no one except for me.. right now she's sleeping back at our den we share.. I was out hunting for her when I stumbled on the scent of a kill.. I thought I might of gotten lucky and indeed I had.. If I join your pack, shes with me. No exception.."

So an adopted daughter. It was not uncommon for such a thing to happen. And he was getting her food.....well that explained why he and left her on her own and had not brought her with as he should have. Would Len allow a small pup in the pack? She turned to him and waited eagerly for the response. She knew that if the answer was yes she would be more then likely have to take care to it when the males went to hunt but that was a matter to be dicussed later.

Len hesitated a moment, thinking over the pup issue. He wasn't too sure that a mischievous pup was the best thing for a teenager and two male adults. Well.. Starla could babysit while Len or Ark hunted. But she will still need to learn how to hunt better. So they could take turns watching the little stinker. Sigh inside his own mind, he was struck with deep conflict. Stupid alpha ranking. "...Well Ark.. Of course, I wouldn't mind you and the pup both. Your my family and so, she is also.."
A wide stretched grin stretched across his face, his eyes sparkling happily. "Thank you Len. Thank you very very very much.." His tail wagged slowly as he was happy to now have help with his adopted daughter. He looked to Starla and smiled the same towards her. She was now like this sister, or he would suppose.

"So when do we get to meet her? What's her name?" Wagging her tail she scooted closer to Ark. "Pardon my manners. Welcome to the pack!" Smiling brightly she couldn't believe how quickly the pack was coming along.

Len smiled politely at Starla and chuckled at her excitement. "Still haven't grown out of your pup like age huh?" He chuckled again, Ark joining in that time. "Well we should meet her right away.." He nodded, grinning.
Ark chuckled more at Starla and Len both. "Apparently we should right now.. " Ark told Starla after Len's comment. "And her name is Victoria.." He said, smiling wide, his fangs sparkling in the moon. "She was asleep when I left her but she could be awake by now." Ark's tail started wagging, anxious to introduce Starla and Ark to Victoria.

"I'm not like a pup but I'm curious and I want to know about a future pack member that's all." Realzing how rediculous she sounded she straightened up and smiled at Ark. "Then lead the way. As Victoria is your daughter."
