Valens came all but stumbling into the kitchen when he heard the scream. While a part of him wanted to bolt because of his fight or flight sense he forced himself to push passed it and return. He looked at Damaris, rather unsure of what he was supposed to do and there was a little 'crack' sound as his hands tighten to the point that the plastic of the phone he held started to break...
Lamiah was quick enough to save the item before it was completely destroyed though, "Wrap her up in the blanket and help her to the car." She instructed Valens before calling up the nearest hospital to inform them that they were on their way. She looked over at Ellie, "I need you to stay here, take care of Red and the house while we are gone alright?"
The Silver gave a nod of her head, looking quite as though she thought she should be doing something to help, not liking that she could only sit idly by while... something was happening. Whether that something was bad or good she couldn't tell, she was guessing bad though since Damaris was in pain.
Valens went over to Damaris's side wrapping the blanket he'd fetch around her before he easily scooped her up into his arms. This was one of those times he was glad to have a vast about of strength, so that he could be helpful like this for the one he cared about, "I'm bringing her out now." He called over to his mother who was talking to the hospital worker before he started toward where the car and LaVey were waiting.

Damaris was screaming again now as she was starting to dilate. It did not take long for her to go into labor, which could be good in the sense that hopefully it would be over soon, but also bad seeing as they weren't at the hospital yet. Damaris clung onto Valens, subconsciously digging her fingers into his shoulders as she was carried off. She was in excruciating pain and couldn't even see straight.
Red had gotten up to follow until he heard Lamiah say that he and Ellie were supposed to stay here. He looked a little surprised and indignant. This was HIS girl who needed medical help, it was only right that HE be there as well and tell those fools what they were doing wrong. At that moment it struck him...he COULDN'T tell them. He couldn't tell them anything. He couldn't speak their language. This was something that Red had never expected would be a bad thing. He froze right where he was realizing that for once he couldn't do something he wanted.

LaVey looked at the screaming girl in the arms of his son and then moved to open the back door to the car and gave a bit of a sighing sound. Talk about a first impression he thought to himself as he stepped back out of the way. He would be glad to drop this one off at the hospital and be back home for dinner as soon as he could.
Valens slipped into the back seat and set Damaris down, moving to put the seat belt around her, "There we go. Don't worry my parents will get you to the hospital." He said, ears laying back his eyes filled with worry.
Lamiah gave the two dragons a smile, "She needs to get to he hospital." She told Red, "They will take care of her there and there won't be room in the car, it will be alright. You two can eat whatever you like, I will make new food for everyone else when I get home." She said before hurrying out the door to the car.
She exchanged a look with LaVey before the two of them got into the car and headed out toward the hospital.
Ellie looked over at Red before she moved over to sit next to him and gave him a little nuzzle of assurance. The poor thing.

Damaris was still wailing in the back seat. Her tail was twisting around itself and she was digging her nails into the upholstery. She wanted this thing out of her, NOW.
Red just sort of stood there his maw slightly gaping as the humans all left leaving the two dragons behind in the house. The first time in Red's life food didn't come before everything else. He sat there just trying to think. He barely noticed as Ellie nudged him with her head.

It was a short ride to the hospital time wise but felt a whole lot longer. They pulled into the Emergency entrance to the hospital. Lamiah turned to look at Valens and Damaris, "You two wait here I will go and get some help." She said before getting out of the car rushing toward the automatic sliding glass downs and was met there by a pair of emergency room workers who she explained the situation to.
A moment later Lamiah, the two workers, and a gurney had returned to the side of the car that Damaris was on and set to helping her out of the car and onto it.
Valens got out of his door, watching the adults who were all crowded around Damaris, talking in a rush that he could barely catch before they started to push her toward the hospital and started to trot after them, needing to move quickly to try to keep up.

Damaris was continually yelling in pain and the fact that her father wasn't there, and they were taking her away from Valens, "I want Valens here, and my dad!" She managed between screams of pain. She had never experienced something so wretched before.
The chubby dragon was at a loss of thoughts let alone worse. He slunk over to the foot of the counter and plopped down in front of it completely bewildered.

The workers made quick assumptions, taking in the girl's condition, looked back at the young man that was trying to follow, and then nodded. In their minds it clicked that it must be his child if she was wanting him there... so he was allowed to follow.
"Can you give me his number? I will call him." Lamiah said to Damaris, nudging them men out of the way so she could get to her side. She still had her cell on her so she could call given the number.
Upon hearing his name Valens did his best to get to where Damaris was, wanting to be where he was needed no matter what. It seemed he would be allowed too since the men slowed just inside the doors of the emergency room.
Ellie looked at Red for a long, quiet moment when he plopped down next to the counter and she went over to lay with him. Poor thing... he must be so scared she thought to herself, "It will be alright, they will help her where they are going." She tried to assure him.

Damaris blurted out her fathers cell number, seeing as he had that on him at all times and he was probably at work. She screamed some more and her tail lashed out subconsciously at one of the male nurses.
Damaris searched for Valens in the crowd and grabbed a hold of his hand. She held onto it for dear life, needing something to hurt or hold onto.
Red grumbled a little bit. He doubted that, he didn't think anyone was able to take well enough care of his girl. He was the only one who knew how to take care of her. Though in this case...maybe he didn't. It was rather strange for the dragon to think these sorts of things.

Valens took the girl's hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze, "I am right here." He told her though it wasn't as if she didn't know that, he just wasn't sure what else he was supposed to say at a time like this. Anything else that came to mind sounded like something that would get him a tail whipping like the nurse got...
They were moving again, leaving Lamiah to dial in the phone number that was given to her by the lizard girl and stood there... waiting for an answer, hoping that her father had his cell on him. She watched as they wheeled the girl into one of the rooms along with her son and started to fidget a little... this wasn't how she had envisioned her son learning about where babies came from.
The Silver tilted her head then gave him a little nuzzle, feeling bad. She wished that she could help but at the moment she could only lay there knowing just as little as he did about what was going on...

Damaris screamed again as she started to go into another contraction. The girl let loose a string of cusses that would make even a sailor blush. Heaven only knew where she learned those.
She squeezed Valens hand again, tighter as the pain increased. There was no way Valens would be able to get his hand back any time soon, she had him in a vice grip.
The phone rang for a while but finally AJ answered on the other end not having noticed the number on the caller ID so he answered formally.
Red grunted and sighed a bit. There was food sitting right out in the open for him to have, but for the first time in his life he wasn't in the mood to eat. So he just laid his head down on the tile of the kitchen floor and hoped if he fell asleep this would go by faster.

Valens ears twitched at the yelling and the cursing caused the white streak on his face to go red but he didn't say anything, just allowed her to abuse his hand silently thanked his DNA for being so tough. He would be able to stand up to her squeezing the life of out his hand and he made sure to show her that he wasn't bothered by not trying to pull away and not showing any pain.
The doctors were talking in a rush around them but it was all medical jargan that made no sense to his mind.
Lamiah listened to the voice that answered on the other end, paused for a moment, then said, "Hello... My name is Lamiah Black, I am the mother of Damaris's boyfriend Valens." She explained, "Is this Damaris's father? If not may I please speak with him?"

"What the hell are you all babbling about!? Do something already God damnit!!!" Damaris snarled at the doctors as she screamed again that ragefull temper of hers taking control.
As another wave of pain came over her Damaris wailed as she squeezed Valens hand again banging it against the armrest of her wheel chair. She wasn't consciously trying to hurt him, but at least she wasn't directing all her rage at him.
"Y-Yes..." The voice said noticing the background sounds and tone in Lamiah's voice. A moments pause before he said, "Damaris has a boyfriend?!" Was the first thing he said completely bewildered before regaining himself, "Wait a moment, what's wrong? Did something happen?"

One of the doctors looked over at her as he motioned to Valens, "We are going to get your up into the hospital bed, from there are are going to do all we can." He said, reassuringly. He went to one side of her and with help from the horse boy they were helping her into the bed. He looked over at the door, seeming to be waiting for Lamiah but finally shook his head and motioned to those working at his side and they set to prepping Damaris for delivery, they couldn't really wait for the mother or the one she was calling.
Lamiah did her best not to giggle, now was not the time, "Well... not wrong exactly, bad timing perhaps. She came over to meet myself and Valens's father and have dinner with us but... ahhh... well she seems to have gone into labor." She explained to the man on the other end of the line.

"What hospital?!" AJ demanded a tone of urgency in his voice. There was a lot of rustling on the other end of the line. Some peoples voices were asking him what was going on and other such questions before some doors were slamming and the mans footsteps were heard on the tile of the building as he ran for the parking lot.
Damaris was gripping the side bar of the bed with one hand and Valens hand with her other. She had never felt this kind of pain before in her life. The worst part of it all was there was no one she could rightly lash out on for it. Though it didn't stop her from lashing her tail out every now and again and hurting her poor boyfriends hand.

Lamiah tilted her head to the side, listening to all of the background noise that went along with what the man was doing and winced a little... poor guy, he was going to hurt himself, "You need to take it easy on the way here, I don't want you end up in a hospital bed next to her." She cautioned the man she had never met before giving him the address and name of the hospital they were at. The one closest to where they lived and where their family went to when it was needed.
Valens watched the doctors go about their routine, they were doing prep work for the birth, helping Damaris into a hospital gown instead of what she was wearing... which caused him to looked away to stare at a wall with a flush on his face until it was safe. From there they were gathering all sorts of needed equipment, masks and gloves... and then they were putting in an IV to her arm to give her different fluids and drugs to help with easing the pain she was in... something he and his hand were grateful for.
His eyes darting between Damaris, the door, and the doctors... where was his mother? Where was Damaris's parents? How long were the doctors going to let her hurt? When did the drugs kick in? His brain which normally moved at a sedate sort of pace was in overdrive at the moment, his hoove shifting on the floor, ears flicking back and forth, tails swishing... it was all so much chaos that the horse was feeling out of sorts.
