Her brows furrowed as she tried to think of a way to re-word her question. "Haru think what is delicious?" she tried asking him this way. She was more quiet now, disapointed that he wasn't able to understand her as well as she'd thought. In situations similar to this, she would usually walk away, slightly angered that she couldn't get her thoughts across clearly enough, but this time, she stayed. She wanted to see if Haru understood this time, wanted to actually make herself understandable.

He tilted his head at her... She was asking something different now, right? "Well I like deer... and rabbit.." He didn't want to be mean, but he wanted to help her formulate her sentences better. "Azula... You never really learned how to speak very well did you?" He asked trying to be as sincere as he could.

She shivered when he said 'deer'. She recognized the word. The images of the day her parents disapeared flashed in her mind. She shook her head to clear the thoughts. "Speak well? Azula speak fine." she said stubbornly. Sure, lots of others had been confused when she spoke to them but she was pretty coherent, she understood what she was talking about. And even if she didn't say things similar to the way others did, why would she need to? She prefered to be the listener, not the speaker. She chewed her wet paw in agitation.

Haru blinked at her and he sighed. "Well its just that... I want to be able to have conversation with you, but if i can't fully understand, something bad could happen.. and it jsut makes it tough." He looked over at her. He liked her so far, but he could see a language barrier driving them part quickly.

Her ears flattened. She could see the logic behind his reason. "Azula speak fine." she persisted. "Azula can do better. Haru teach?" she looked up at him hopefully. She was learning more than she had intended from him and was glad she had met him. She looked at him expectantly, turning so that she was facing him.

"Teach?" he asked. Haru had never taught anyone anything before. "Well I can try, if you want me too." He nodded at her. Haru had no idea where to really begin... He leaned over and nipped at her flattened ear, wanting her to cheer up.

"Yes," she nodded, then added, "please." She'd heard that word a few times before and she figured it emphasized a statement. Her ears flickered when he nipped her. It tickled. She wondered what he did that for. Did every wolf do that before starting lessons? He was a bit taller than her, but she nipped his ear back, just in case.

He laughed at her a little, an smiled. "Alright well... I guess we should start with details. You're sentences have been lacking an emphasis. " He wasn't sure if that was even the right way to go about it. Haru sat down and looked at her. "Instead of, Haru eat anything try something like. 'Would you like to get something to eat.' You're missing mostly filler words that really get the idea you're trying to say across."

((We should have the RP end with something like "And Haru taught continued to teach her deep into the night." or something like that so we can skip most of the details and have Azula speak better next time XDDD))
Taking the smile as a good sign, she fluffed out her mane, preparing herself. Her ears swiveled towards him, giving his lesson her full attention. She tooks notes in her mind, saying things like 'details' and 'emphasis'. "Would you like to get something to eat?" she repeated. Filler words... she pouted a bit at that. They meant she would have to talk more. She was pretty sure that after a few minutes of this she would leave, but his prescence kept her there.

Haru smiled at her a bit. She he was being clear enough for her. He shifted around some and nodded when she repeated what he said. "Thats good, It means you'll have to talk more, but you can get your point across better" he smiled at her and then continued to teach her into the evening...
