He followed silently behind her, glancing up at the sky to see how much time they had. At the forest, he picked up the pace so that he was next to her and hoped she wouldn't mind. They went through so many paths and rivers that he wondered how she rememebered the way. When they were at the base of the mountain, he looked up to see it wasn't that tall. He nodded at her comment and followed her up the path. It was too thin for him to go next to her much to his dissapointment.

Lunar blinked back at him to make sure he was still thre as she climbed her way up. She moved off the path, near the top to bring him out to a flat area where the sun was going to set soon. She moved in and let him join her. "here we go.. it's a good spot." She smiled at him, placing her flowers down on her side, sitting. "Do you like it?"

He gave her a reasurring wave with his tail when she checked up on him and was glad when they finally reached a flat area. The sun was in front of him but was too far away to sting his eyes and there was no ocean to reflect the glare. "It is," he agreed, nodding. He didn't know why, but he blushed faintly when she smiled at him with the flowers in her mouth. He padded over and sat down next to her. "I love it." he said and his eyes widened when he realized what he said. He looked away quickly, and was blushing furiously now. He fidgeted before he asked, "Do you like it?"

Lunar blinked over at him and her ears twitched. She pawed at the ground some.. "Yeah I like it." She blinked over at him. Sh had missed this. The little stupid things like the way something is said, that make then get a little shy. She leaned over and nuzzled into his neck

He stiffened when she touched him, embarrassed that she should see him blushing like this but he couldn't help himself and he nuzzled her back, losing the stiffness. He moved closer and pressed himself agasint her. He didn't lean, just let his prescence be known and he smelled the faint scent of the flowers she'd held a moment before as he turned and watched the setting sun glint in her moon-silver eyes.

Lunar blinked at him and she leaned into his body. It felt to right to her, that it was almost ripping her apart in inside. She looked out at the sun as it set, and then up at him when he looked at her. She smiled a little before she looked back out at the sun. It had gotten warmer because the sun was so close to the earth, but the minute it was gone the air would cool down... Somehow this evening was turning out perfectly.

He was pleased when he felt her weight on his side, and was surprised when he realized it didn't take much strength from him to hold her up. He had grown a lot since his first meeting with her, when he was still an adolescent. He watched her watch the sun and smiled back when she did. Soon, he too looked back and felt the heat starting to drain away as it sank lower. He pressed closer to Lunar, and felt the faint thumps of her heart as the last rays of sun disapeared.

She remembered meeting him before he had fully grown. He had become so handsome, she was surprised in its own way how attracted to him she was. But he was observant and caring... He was like perfect in every way... It made her feel a little angry that she was going to loose him to another all because she didn't stick around long enough... She got a bit rigid as this happened. She would have to find someone else to fall for... to be with. But she knew getting over Jaden would be tough... so she wanted to have one last perfect night with him.

The sun was gone and the sky was empty except for the clouds. He was content to be here and was staring at piece of forest below when he felt Lunar go rigid beside him. Worried, he turned to her and asked, "Is anything wrong?" He wondered what had made her like this when everything seemed to be going so smoothly. He thought back over the events that had happened. Was she mad because he couldn't catch a fish? He didn't think so. Then he remembered the conversation that led to fishing in the first place. He hoped that wasn't what made her like this. He wanted this night to be perfect... for her. He ran through his mind, wondering what he could do to make her feel better.

Her ears twitched and she looked up at him. Shaking her head some and she kept laying against him. She tried to calm herself down so that she could enjoy this night. When he fell asleep, she'd leave... She didn't want him to see the anguish on her face as she had to part ways with him, knowing she'd never be allowed to be this close to the one she just started to realize she cared so much about.

His watched her, disbelieving, but let it ago. He didn't want to push her and at least it didn't seem like she was mad at him, seeing as she was still close by, pressing against him.... He could feel her heart again and it was beating faster this time. This bothered him more than it should have and, hoping to soothe her, he placed his tail around her. The night was coming on quickly, with the moon almost in the sky and the stars starting to shine. They weren't as bright as the sun, so he could look at them without hurting his eyes. As he looked at the moon, his brows furrowed. It didn't look as beautiful as it used to. He was confused about this until he felt Lunar aganst him. Of course. No moon could look beautiful with her in comparison and he smiled at the thought.

Lunar liked the cooler air. She nuzzled into him some.. "We should probably lay down for the night.." She didn't looked at him, but she liked having his tail around her.. She curled her around his lightly and waited for his answer. She felt nervous about laving him while he slept, scared he'd wake up..

It felt nice to have her tail around his and he was glad that she wasn't mad at him. "If you want..." he said skeptically. Thinking she only asked because she wanted some time to think, he laid down. She looked nervous but it was hard to tell since she wasn't looking at him. He nudged the bottom of her jaw playfully, hoping it'd help relax her.

When he had laid down, she didn't notice until his nudged her jaw. She blinked down at him, and she moved over to lay with him.. placing her head on his shoulders and she yawned a little. She was alot more tired then she had expected.

Glad that she was resting on him, he shifted, pressing his cheek to her curled side. He, too, yawned -- it seemed to be contagious -- and wrapped their entertwined tails around her, so that she would be warmer. He wasn't that tired and he watched the sky, feeling Lunars breath on his back. Most of the stars had appeared by the time he fell asleep and, thinking Lunar was already asleep, he murmured, "Lunar? I just thought that you should know that no matter how many stars are in the sky, you'll always be more beautiful..." before drifting off.
