I only saw the trailer and first episode of "Shuffle!" which I wish my friend would get from her friend.

I watched Advent Children.

I know this is a live-action Chinese adaption of Initial D which I WISHED I could see. *shrug* I want to see how this really popular singer acts.

I just finished watching Excel Saga (again).

I've borrowed volumes 4 and 5 of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and a freind of mine says he's going to lend me pretty much the entirety of Ranma 1/2.

I just recently watched The Place Promised In Our Early Days.

It is very good, so good I ignored Miz for a few minutes just to watch it. domokun

Plot/Story: Superb. The story is about three friends (Two boys and a girl) who vow to fly to a tower in a Cyber-Punkish type Japan. They grow up and drift apart, the two boys come together because their friend has been sleeping for several years and they both suspect it to be linked to the tower. Shinkai mixes an interesting sci-fi plot with a melancholic story about friendship. Overall, an engaging movie for those who are tired of the overuse of panty shots and the like and just wanna watch a good anime.

Art/Graphics/Etc: And I thought Voices From A Distant Star was good. Imagine that with a budget and you get this. This movie includes some beautiful backgrounds. Be it the sky with the tower at scenic sunset or an empty trainstation at noon. The character design is rather simple but likeable. Nothing too detailed, they feel kind of human yet still animated.

Music/Soundtrack: Believe it or not, I didn't pay much attention to the soundtrack. Though I should have, the music for this movie really sets the mood. Nothing outstounding but nothing horrible either. It kind of lingers in the background, helping set the mood.

Tear factor: This had me bawling. It's a really heartfelt story. The relationship between the characters even through the passage of time doesn't alter the core of the friendship shared with these three.

Overall: Great. People are starting to call Shinkai the next Miyazaki. He isn't there yet and I probably don't expect him to get there rather soon. But still, this is very good. Definitely deserves a spot in your DVD collection.

I haven't been keeping up with any new series actually. crying I can't really find anything to get into [though I have started on a few new manga series] The newest DVD I bought were the new episodes of Tenchi Muyo, but since FUNi hasn't released any new episodes since August...well, meh. stare I've been watching more Disney and Cartoon Network cartoons lately. I have a strange addiciton with Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi and Kim Possible. Mainly Kim Possible.

Didn't manage to borrow Ranma 1/2, but I have managed to watch the entirety of Haibane Renmei.
t's a good series, though has far, far too many metaphysical WTF moments. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

I just got the Yu Yu Hakusho disks so I've been watching them, but the amount of anime in general that I watch on cabel has really slowed down.. actually I havn't watched anything for a couple weeks. I didn't notice that until just now O.O

Recently, they released the last 5 DVDs of Urusei Yatsura. Yay! blaugh

So, for an entire year, I will be busy re-watching the whole series. That's 50 DVDs of TV episodes, and 6 movies, and 6 OVAs. Soooo much Lum. . . slobber slobber

Then there's several series that I need to re-watch. . . Bubblegum Crisis, Those Who Hunt Elves, Angel Links, and Magic User's Club are sneaking into my playlist.
