Kahili looked up at him as he spoke and once he had finished a smile spread across her face. “I’d love to. Usually I’m just wandering around but it would be a nice change to have someone showing me around. Tomorrow would seem right since I’m already here or,” she paused for a second to yawn before finishing what she was saying. “Another day is fine too.” It really didn’t seem like she was going to make it long enough to find a good place to sleep for the night which meant she was stuck where she was. But mostly she couldn’t complain. He was warm and he knew the area, knew how to keep her safe and that was what mattered at the moment. Her head drooped a bit and it came to rest against his shoulder. “I hope you don’t mind..” Another yawn. “Sleeping here tonight.”

Now it was again his turn, for that slight blush to spread across his cheeks, though again thankfully hidden by the dark fur of his coat. "...I don't mind at all..." He said gently, lowering his tone to perhaps help falling asleep for the mare... a bit easier. He watched her calmly, as her head moved to rest against his shoulder. He simply smiled, gaze still oddly soft, perhaps welcoming, in a way.
"..But, tomorrow then. When you wake up, we can go somewhere... Find something new, together. Go on a little.. adventure of our own." he said with the same smile, tucking his head down a bit to stare at the ground, closing his eyes after a moment, inhaling a long, big breath,.. only to exhale it a moment later, relaxing his body almost fully.

“That sounds good,” she whispered quietly as she slowly drifted off to sleep. Tonight would be a good sleep, it was surprisingly comfortable next to Autiren. Leaning against him and letting her own body heat mix with his that left her at just a perfect temperature for the cool night. Good dreams were sure to follow as she slipped fully into her sleep.
Sleep was definitely good, she couldn’t remember any dreams but if they were there they had to have been good. The forest prevented any bright sunshine to reach them but there were patches that broke through around them and of course the glint of the brightness off of the pond. Her ears flicked about, listening to her surroundings. Birds were twittering as they went about their morning routines and the wind ruffled the tree branches. She was also vaguely aware of the soft breathing beside her. But other than those things it was peaceful bliss. Her eyes fluttered open as she yawned and blinked away the sleep to look around. After scanning the area her eyes fell to the stallion beside her and she couldn’t help but smile. She wouldn’t get up just yet, he could sleep as much as he wanted.

At first, Autiren had, again, kept himself up a bit longer,... though of course pretending to be sleeping. He lay listening to things around... Some sort of sound that could possibly be a threat, of some sort. But, there was nothing. After twenty minutes of her being asleep, Autiren too, had drifted off into his own little Dream-world.
Unlike Kahili, come morning, He Could remember his dreams. But, maybe that was just because they were about Kahili. In all honesty, before Autiren fully woke up, he swore even meeting Kahili had been a dream. Imagine the.. Shock, when he woke up. He'd drifted out of sleep not long after her, waking slowly, his head raising after having been tucked slightly against the ground by his nose. His eyes blinked open, and it took a short moment for him to really notice the other source of heat next to him on the ground. The small, stunning mare, with the extra feathers behind her ears. His eyes widened, and he silently gasped. It wasn't a dream? I did meet her? He blinked his eyes a few times, shaking his head once quickly, before again looking at the Mare. "...Kahili... I'm surprised you really stayed..." I'm glad you did, He refrained from adding, letting out a soft yawn afterwords, taking a quick moment to glance towards the sky, blinking a few times at the light that shown through the trees.

Kahili smiled at him once he awoke and just shook her head a bit. “I’m not one to get up after falling asleep to find somewhere else to stay. You’re uh…quite comfortable, Autiren.” She laughed a bit and finally got to her feet and stretched out her legs along with her neck. Once she was pretty stretched out she gave a quick shake of her head, sending her braids flopping around her neck and she turned back to look down at him. “Well you said you wanted to take me on an adventure of our own, right? Well we’ve got all day so let’s get going, shall we?” She smiled again at him.

You're uh...quite comfortable, Autiren, He grinned slightly at this, chuckling a bit under his breath. "Well, If me being comfortable gets you to stay, I'll have to make sure I'm.... er... Extra, comfortable, from now on," Not exactly the most thought through reply, But it'd suffice, he supposed. Just as the last little tiny word slipped from between his lips, Autiren pushed himself up, shaking out his mane and tail in one movement. Again he grinned, glancing at the close, dusky purple curls that moved about his face.
His brow quirked a bit at her words, though it took only another short moment to remember what he'd suggested the night before. "...Oh yes. Good idea~ The Earlier we start, the longer we can stay out,... the more fun we can have." He smirked now at his own words, slowly moving over to the mare, eyes holding a possibly mischievous, silent look of Excitement... perhaps suggesting he had a good idea on where to go.
In Honesty? He hadn't a clue where to start.

Kahili watched him and returned his look with a grin. “Now on, huh? What makes you think I’ll be falling asleep next to you again, hmm? I thought it was just a one time thing because I was too tired to move.” Her mom would already give her a lecture for spending the night with a stallion she barely knew, why fuel the fire by staying with him for two nights in a row?? Though she didn’t want to hurt his feelings, after today she would have to keep on moving like she usually did.
“Well we better get the show on the road, right? Don’t have all day! …Well okay yeah we do but we don’t want to waste it,” she giggled a bit and started trotting through the trees. She vaguely remembered going this way through the forest so it had to be the right way out. “What did you have in mind for today, Autiren?” she asked as she called over her shoulder as she went along, tail swishing back and forth behind her.

Within just barely seconds between their turns to speak, he'd come up with something... Sort of, anyway. Bring her to the mountains,... have them run all day... By bringing her the long way, to show her things she'd probably never seen before... before finally leading her up to the top of one of the mountains, for a perfect view of the sunset. Actually, he hadn't really decided on the last bit... Not fully. But the more he thought about it, the better it sounded in his mind. His dark eyes trailed to Kahili, and he smiled inwardly.
"Actually... I do have an idea on where to go." He said finally, trotting up next to the mare, catching up quickly, grinning sideways at her with the same look from moments ago still lingering on his face. "But it will take a while to get there... I'd be best to Run~!" Without much warning afterwords, he started off, bolting off, weaving between the trees with practiced ease,.. leading her Out of the forest, for an easier path to the mountains.
It had been of course, a good thing, that they had started as early as they had. Even while running, it took great time to get from their little Mirror-Pond spot, to the mountains. Pausing periodically to get a drink, or to relax their legs... to get an apple or two from a near-by tree... different things that worked as a pause in their little 'adventure' to the mountains. Despite the hours that passed however... everything seemed to go by quickly. It seemed almost as if time itself sped up with them as they bolted through the plains grasses.
By the time they reached the base of the mountains, the air had slowly begun to chill, as the colors of the sky began to take on a Golden-ish hue.... Though it would be long before the true Sunset came.
Autiren paused in his fast step up the mountain, glancing back to Kahili. "..I'm glad we left when we did... Leave any later.. and we could have missed it..." He said with a grin, obviously purposely refraining from mentioning what he meant by 'it'. The stallion took a look around them, staring at some of the rocks that made up the mountain paths. He took note of a small patch of flowers, that poked up between two slabs of stone not far off, proving to him that this mountain was not just a big mound of stone, but instead, there was life. Of course, he already knew that, thanks to some of the few trees that sprouted up in places.

Kahili had followed him all day and began to wonder if he was just pulling her leg about what he wanted to show. Just leading her around to waste time. Whenever she’d questioned him about where they were going and what they would see he would just grin at her and by this point it was getting annoying. Sure going to the mountains was on her list of things to see but they were moving so fast up them she barely had time to enjoy anything they were passing.
As the sun was setting, she really began to believe this was all a wild goose chase and she was starting to get tired. Which most likely meant staying ANOTHER night with him and it’ll be on the top of a mountain! For his sake whatever he was leading her to better be good. She looked at him when he spoke with an emotionless face. “Yeah. Great that we had plenty of time to do this.” There was no enthusiasm in her voice and no excitement now that she was convinced there was nothing to see. The air was cool and if they weren’t moving so much it could possibly have them both shivering at this high altitude. If they were stuck sleeping up here tonight, it wasn’t going to be a comfortable night in the cold.

Autiren paused, looking over at the mare, grinning only more at the obvious agitation in her tone. He moved over to Kahili slowly, pressing his nose lightly to her cheek. "Relax... it'll be worth it." He said lowly, chuckling a bit afterwords. Slowly he turned, trotting casually up the mountain, hopping over some rocks that popped up along the way. He was oddly cheerful... ignoring how tired his legs felt by that point, and how cold his skin was beneath his dark fur and mane.
He paused only once more to look back, making sure she was following, before he bound up the mountain path quickly, silently grumbling at how rocky it all had become by that point. His dark eyes held on to the tip of the Giant stony Hill, his grin holding firm on his lips as he moved, making sure not to trip and fall, breaking a leg in the process... That'd be far from fun. Finally, he noted how the Golden hued skies took on different colors,.... dark blues, light purples, some blues, oranges, and darker golds. He let his grin fade into a gentle smile, as he slowed quickly, lifting his weight atop a perfectly smooth stone slab that crowned the top of the mountain. He looked back, down at Kahili, motioning with his head for her to come up.
Autiren then turned his gaze back to the skies, gaze and smile both going soft and gentle.

Kahili blinked at his gesture and continued up the rocky hill after him, trying to will away the light blush that found her cheeks. I guess I can hang on for a little longer before getting too upset, she thought to herself as she climbed. Hopefully her legs didn’t give up before her mind did. This was one of the biggest workouts she’d ever had and it was taking its toll on her legs.
Lucky for both of them though it seemed they’d reached the place he’d wanted to take her. As he turned to tell her to come up, she could see he still had that grin on his face. Taking the last big strides up to the stone slab she just gave him a weird look before following his gaze out towards the horizon. Her jaw literally dropped at the sight. So many colors mixed into the slowly darkening sky that stretched for miles. Far in the distance the bright colors glinted off of the ocean. It seemed the whole land was transformed by just the sky. “Autiren…It’s…It’s beautiful. Amazing. I’m…speechless.” Her head rested against his neck as she watched the sky change. She had to admit, even though it was a workout to get up to this spot, it was worth it. “This is the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me.”

The look she gave him only made him chuckle and grin once again, as he predicted how that expression would change when she finally saw. The grin widened when her jaw dropped. Autiren looked sideways at the mare, grin yet again softening into a pure, happy smile.
"I'd been atop one of the other mountains a while away from here... and I saw how the sunset looked from there.... I knew it would look better from up here... So I wanted to come see it.. Come see how the sunset looked from here... "But I didn't want to come alone..."
He glanced away for a moment, tilting his head towards her a bit, letting out a breath, letting his gaze trail over the golden clouds. Finally he spoke again, quietly. "...I wouldn't bring just anyone up here, I wanted it to be someone.. Special..." He said lowly, slowly beginning to move his gaze to the mare again, taking in every detail of her that he could see.

Kahili just listened to him talk, not wanting to look away from the beautiful sight. Until something he said caught her attention, causing her to lift her head from its place on his neck to look at him, another light blush coming across her face. “Special?…You think I’m…special? But I haven’t really done anything, how am I more special than anyone else?” She watched his face to see if he was actually telling the truth and he seemed to be sincere. She’d never been called special or anything of the sort before. But why would he lie about something like that? It didn’t make any sense.

"...If I Didn't think you were special.. I wouldn't have brought you up here..." He said with a soft chuckle, eying the blush on her cheeks. He tilted his head towards her again, nosing her cheek like he had before, now to silently point out the blush, before moving away again to stare at the sky.
"...Even if you haven't done much...You're still special. There's something about you, Kahili. Something that makes it impossible for me to think that you're just some weak little mare... which you obviously aren't..." He said calmly, forcing himself not to stare at her as he spoke, so as he wouldn't possibly make the moment feel that much more awkward than it already did.

Her eyes dropped to her hooves, her face growing even darker with the blush. She was still speechless but this time it wasn’t because of the view, it was about what he had said. It didn’t help that her face was probably an entirely different color than it usually was but she could feel the heat in her cheeks as well. After a while she lifted her head again and pressed it into his neck once more, hoping to he wouldn’t be able to see her red face anymore. “Thanks Autiren. Even though I don’t understand your reasoning…It’s still nice to hear. Plus you’ve gone the extra mile to do all of this for me and that means a lot.” She smiled a bit and watched the sky once more as the sun slowly started to disappear behind the horizon.
