Jasper tilted his head in thought Now that he really thought about it, life when he wasn't running from vampires, was not only scare, but fairly boring. He mostly spent time trying to get further from the stupid Vampires, but if he stayed in one place for too long, well then, they caught up to him. How? He had no idea, but it never failed.
"Well...um...I travel a lot...and...um...visit new places...and...Meet new people...sometimes...Anything fun is fine." He said, shrugging his shoulders. He really had a dull lifestyle...

"Well...uh, let's travel somewhere then," she suggested. Getting away from here sounded wonderful. She briefly wondered if she should say goodbye to her family or anything. If she was going to be running...but she decided that she would come back. They wouldn't be traveling for too long, and maybe those crazy vampires would just give up. She really had no idea of anything....she was just sure that she wanted to go somewhere, and that Jasper would be a nice traveling companion.
"I've never really gone far away from home before. Maybe you can show me around some new places," she said, smiling at him.

"Sure! Sounds perfct! I know a few really fun towns around here!" Jasper said, smirking lightly to himself. The Namrah world wasn't always rainbows and butterflies, but it could be fore a little while at least! He bounced off in a random direction and hoped Mariko would follow.

And Mariko did follow him. She bounced off happily behind him, and then kept his pace as she walked beside him.
"Awesome, so where are we going first?" she asked him.

"This way! I have no idea what's there, but surely we'll come across something fun!" Jasper said, laughing lightly. He always wandered around the world, and he never became lost! If you gave him a location, he'd find it! Luck was usually on his side, except for when those dirty vampires showed up. Then he could consider his luck gone.

Mariko laughed along with him and followed him, suddenly not caring where they were going. A surprise was always fun, and she was already having fun with Jasper in the first place.
"Yeah, you're right," she said grinning, and nudged him playfully, "wherever we end up is bound to be fun."

Jasper nudged her back, it'd been a while since he'd had someone to hang out with all the time. Sure, he meet different people and made a few random friends every now and then. But Mariko was doomed to run like he was, so she'd basically also be there. "It surely will be!" He said, though they were unknowingly headed toward some deep trouble...

Mariko swished her tail playfully, imagining that instead of running from something, they were following something. It was more fun to think of it that way. But either way, being with Jasper had caused Mariko to forget what it was they were running from, or following. She grinned playfully at him before pouncing on him, causing the two of them to roll down a small hill they were walking on.

Jasper was a little caught off guard by the sudden pounce. He laughed as they tumbled down the small hill. When they finally stopped rolling and Jasper was done giggling like a small child, he noticed something wrong. There was an odd smell in the air. One, he'd become to accustomed to running away from. He hopped onto his feet.
"We need to be on our guard..." Jasper whispered to Mariko, glancing around carefully.

Mariko laughed as well as they tumbled and rolled down the hill, enjoying her few minutes of fun before trouble set in. She was surprised by Jasper's sudden defensive pose, and within a second it brought back all of her previous fears. She took a similar stance next to him and whispered back, "What is it?"
She had a good idea, but she still wasn't sure. She smelled the strange scent, but it was not one that she was accustomed to yet. Little did she know just how accustomed she would soon be to that scent.

Jasper kept up his defensive position and sniffed at the air. Yup, there was no mistaking that scent, though he could sense other too, non-vampires? Uh oh, that couldn't be good. "A Vampire, well...no, actually yes! Just one...but two others..." He wasn't sure if he was answering Mariko or just talking to himself. What to do?

She shuddered a little, but kept her stance next to him.
"Again?!" she hissed. The last part of his answer threw her off a bit. Two others? What was that supposed to be mean? "Two other...what?" she asked him. Then her eyes widened with horror. What if it was a vampire about to attack some unsuspecting namrah!? "We have to do something..." she hissed, again.
