"It's effectiveness that matters!" She argued.

Luna held out Prince's pokeball, retracting the large bird back into the device. Prince was way too heavy to cary around on her shoulders. Turning around to face Jen, Luna giggled as Jen held out the twenty. The trainer took the bill in Jen's left hand and placed it in her right. "No profit for both of us I guess~"

At that moment, one of the scientists walked up to Luna and Jen. "You two are the trainers supervising this event?" He asked, observing the two with calculating eyes.

ChuChu sniffed the man and started to growl lowly.

"Huuuh~? Yes we are!" Luna replied to the scientist, completely ignoring the fact that he was practically scanning their bodies with his eyes.

"True true! But over-dramaticness should earn some points, no?"

Laughing a bit, Jen swiped the new twenty and stuffed it into her pocket just as one of the scientist dudes came walking up to them.

Staring at the older dude, Jen's eyes kinda wandered over to the other dudes in the background. Black coats? What the heck....ah well, she would worry about it later. Glancing back at the scientist, the trainer grimced at the expression in his cold eyes.

Demyx, like Chuchu, instantly let this newcomer know his extreme dislike of him. He growled softly, keeping his tail curled protectively around Jen's ankle.

Scowling at the feeling of being undressed mentally as the guy glanced over them, Jen took a step forward and stood between him and Luna. Although she knew Luna's pokemon were more than capable of portecting their trainer, that didn't stop her from stepping in. Luna was her friend too!

"Hey buddy! You gunna tell us what's gunna happen or you just gunna stare until the sun comes up?" Yes...her response was blunt, very blunt in fact.

The scientist "humph"ed at Jen, but accepted that the two trainers were the leaders and their protectors in the mission. "Go set up the Tauros and put the supplies inside the wagons. Here's a chart of what goes where and which of you brats should be where." He pulled out several sheets of paper stappled together and perfectly aligned and handed them to Jen.

Luna peaked over Jen's shoulder at the list. "Whoaaa~That's a lot of trainers!" She commented. She hadn't realized that so many people were comming along for the trip. There must be tons of strong pokemon then! And she even spotted some of her friends on the list...the journey would be more than fun for her with Kazuki in her wagon.

When Luna looked up at the scientist again, she found he was already starting to head to the steel trailer-home-like thing (pulled by four tauros instead of one) that the scientists were retreating to.

"We've already set up the first wagon for you, you do the rest. You kids should at least be THAT competant. Don't disturb us, we've been up earlier than you!" He grumbled before slamming the door to the trailer shut.

"Okey-dok-"

"And don't touch the black boxes! They're full of fragile and expensive equipment!" He added before the area around the trainers went silent.

Staring at the list shoved into her hands, Jen quickly tossed a death glare at the retreating scientist before returning her gaze back to the list.

"Been brought up earlier...BAH! I'd like to see him go through what we went through this morning....." She muttered under her breath with great dislike before handing half of the list to Luna.

"Here, give ya something to do. I'll go see what needs to be loaded up near the front wagons." Grinning, Jen spun on her heel and bounced towards Wagons one through three. Tacking the lists onto the thick wood, she grinned when she saw Zen and a few other of her close friends were in the same wagon as her.

"This is awesome!" Jen squeed before grabbing a blue bandana from her bag and a stick off the ground; with the makeshift flag in hand, she called out to her friend.

"OY LUNA!"
She grinned and waved it high into the air.
"WAGON TWO FOR THE WIN!"

Luna grabbed Nine's pokeball from her bag and released her black ninetales. Nine was the calmest out of all her pokemon and would probably be the best canidate for spreading wagon assignment lists to the trainers that would soon be flooding the area.

After giving her commands to the black ninetales, Luna dashed off to staple some lists to wagons four, five, and six. Luna chuckled at Jen while ChuChu pushed a refridgerator onto wagon three using her strength attack. Luna ran to her wagon and shut the fridge with a lock (to ward off her dewgong from raiding it) before jumping ontop of the fridge. She took the red ribbon off her hat and waved it above her head.

"WAGON THREE!" She retorted.

---

After a short shouting match of whose wagon was better, Luna ended up tying the red ribbon to the fridge before joining Jen in working on the wagon preperations.

Ah, ya had to love the silly moments in life, eh?
Jen was in really good spirits (considering what had happened just a few hours beforehand at the hotel....) and was helping load dry food crates into her wagon. Her pokemon, well...the ones that were awake at six in the morning, were leanding a helping paw...or hoof..or claw...depending on the pokemon!

The weird team had gotten creative with the loading process: Demyx, eager to please, had created an ice slick of sorts leading from the pile of equipment and crates up to the wagon. Aman was there at the end, pushing the crates to a stop before they crashed into the wagon. Aeon and Jen would then toss them into the wagon.

On her way to the wagons, a young newbie trainer was performing a perfectly executed Yawn attack. Unfortunately, there was no audience to congratulate her other than the crickets hidden in the dew-covered grass, which extended from both sides of the path's slightly damp morning soil. Waking up so early made her Drowsee drowsy, if you know what I mean... but oh well. Lamen had looked this little adventure up on the internet, and it seemed a pretty good opportunity to catch herself a pokemon while safely remaining with other trainers, who already had some.

Lightless grey eyes looked upon the scene as she arrived, and the moment she spied a black box, she half-collapsed, half-sat on it. "Uuugh..." She moaned, relishing the fact that she could finally rest her legs (not that the walk had been that long, but this was Lamen.) I should go find the people in charge and tell them what I'm here for... well... maybe in a minute. Nobody seems to be here yet...

Nyght yawned a bit, not even bothering to cover her mouth, as she finished crossing the distance on the dirt path she was following. She could see the shape of the Tauros in the distance, and had already passed a few grazing away from the group, so she knew she was almost to the meeting point. She had read about this little call to action on a bulletin board, and though she didn't yet have any pokemon of her own, a trainer who couldn't make it had volunteered a skitty, which Nyght now held comfortably in a pokeball at her waist. If nothing else, this was a great opportunity to spot more pokemon, which was her goal in life anyway.

As she neared the wagons, she spotted two women already working with the scientists to complete filling in the wagons. For how early Nyght had gotten to the site, she was surprised anyone was moving at all. Four hours early was a little excessive after all. Oh well!

Her attention was caught by a beautiful black Ninetales who looked fairly official with a pile of lists. Nyght decided to focus her progress towards that pokemon, for a closer look if nothing else. As she neared, it was obvious that it was handing out something important, a paper of some kind, which Nyght quickly recognized as wagon assignments, excellent! Scanning the list, Nyght didn't see any names she recognized, but wagon one meant that she would be first to the mining site, if only by a few minutes. Any advantage was a good one! Nodding to the Ninetales in thanks, Nyght scanned the scene in front of her, wondering how to help.

Well, first things first, Nyght crossed to the wagon with a large "1" painted on it and looked inside. The usual traveling supplies didn't surprise her, but what did were a set of strange black boxes crammed in a corner.... Though her curiosity was was sparked, Nyght realized it would be a bit inadvisable to be found digging through other's possessions at the very beginning of the trip. Better to help out now, make a good impression. Stowing her backpack in a corner of the wagon, Nyght climbed back down and realized that the Tauros she had passed on the road were probably meant to be hooked up to her wagon, since others had them already, and poor little wagon one didn't. With that in mind, Nyght started towards the nearest bull pokemon.

"Ready?!"

"Raichu!"
"Vaporeon!"

"You ready, Aman?"
A snort and a bob of the antlered head confirmed the Stantlers' position as the Vaporeon and Raichu stood near the starting point of their ice slide/carrier thingy. Between them sat one of the larger crates, and it had been too heavy for Demyx to push by himself. Aeon cracked his knuckles and grabbed the thick wooden panels that made up the box while Demyx pushed up against it with his body. They waited for the signal....

"Okay guys! PUSH IT!" Jen waved to the two pokemon with the blue bandana she had waved at Luna earlier. She quickly side-stepped to give her deer pokemon a bit more room to catch the crate.

With a dual grunt, the water and electric pokemon heaved the crate filled with fruit and watched it slide towards their trainer and fellow teammate.
"Not yet....not yet....not yet-NOW AMAN! CONFUSION!"

With a toss of his head, the stantler instantly stopped a crash seconds before it made contact with him; a delicate green/red aura glimmered around his antlers, a simliar aura picking up and lifting the box into Wagon Two.

"Okay Aeon! Slide over and Use Strength!"
"Raichu rai!" Proudly displaying his strength, the scarred Raichu buckled slightly under the sudden weight on his shoulder and head (Aman had released his Confusion technique off of the crate) before shoving it into the corner pile with the others.
The threesome were loading and doing a mini-training session at the same time. Maybe it would come in handy during the trip...or maybe they were just looking for an excuse to catch some Z's later on.

User ImageKayla yawned as she walked slowly along side the trail of wagons to find which one she was suppose to be on. She passed by a few Tauros who were snorting and stomping their hooves a bit but otherwise calm. Kayla had a strong itch to pet them and give them something to nibble on but she wasn't sure if that was allowed.

She noticed there were a few other people in their wagons and some scientist hanging around. Kayla figured it would be a grand idea to find out what she suppose to do for the time being but her shyness prevented that, so she continued on her way, looking around.

Sighing deeply, she noticed that each wagon had a number ingraved on each wagon. Of course. Kayla rolled her eyes at herself. After finding wagon three, she stood near it, waiting for others in the same group to appear, her fingers still twitching to pet the pokemon that will be pulling them.

Sienna trekked half awake and half asleep to the caravan's starting point. She took in the sight of six wagons, grazing Tauros, and scattered about gear with sleepy brown eyes. A Tauros chewed grass quietly a few feet away from her. A breeze of the crisp morning air lifted the floppy yellow hat off of Sienna's head. She barley noticed as the hat gently glided towards the Tauros. Awareness finally kicked in and Sienna started to slowly move towards the Taurosto retrieve her hat. The Tauros didn't seem to notice her as she made a grab for her hat-

-until the bull pokemon turned it's head to stare at her.

'oh snap'. was her first though, the second was to freeze in place.

"NOW AMAN! CONFUSION!"...

All the noise from wagon two was doing a good job of waking Lamen up. She lifted her head groggily and looked towards the commotion. "Pokemon...?"
That was curious enough to get her onto her feet again.

The trainer was about to make her way out when she spotted the ninetales, causing her eyes to widen in surprise. "Nine! What are you doing here?" Realizing what this meant, she cautiously grabbed a handout (she hadn't forgotten how Nine had fireblasted her before, and doubted the grudge was gone yet) and walked a little nearer to all the noise, only to find that Luna was, in fact, present. She was quite busy at work though. Deciding to be discreet, Lamen smirked and sat on another crate besides a calmly grazing Tauros. From there, she could observe the loading acrobatics of Jen's pokemon... and scratch the Tauros' ear, since it didn't seem to mind her presence.

User ImageAfter waiting for a few moments being bored, Kayla walked around the wagon to see if there was something of instructions for the early birds. Normally, Kayla wouldn't be here this early but she wanted to make a first good impression.

She then noticed a list of things that needed to be done before the adventure could begin. Kayla sighed a bit. She hoped that she wasn't going to be the only person to do all this but suppose it had to start sometime.

Having her answer for her question she had moments before, she went to grab one of the Trauos that was nearby, grazing, by their halters and started to pull them towards her wagon.

It tossed it's head a bit but otherwise didn't resist much more. Suddenly, an idea struck her. While she continued to walk towards her wagon, she used her free hand to grab a couple of her pokeballs and expanding them at the same time.

"Come on out guys and help me out!" Bright light of red and green burst from the pokeballs and out came Adira and Grinch.

"Dos, dos."
"Cubone, Cu-cu-cubone."

Both pokemon looked around their surroundings before looking back at their trainer who smiled. "Could you guys start gathering food and place them in the wagon, please?"

Both nodded before wandering off to find food. Sighing with some relief that she had a little help, Kayla continued towards her slow walk to the wagon with a tauros following her.

"Okay guys, you can take a break. I gotta swing over and check something out."

A group sigh as all three pokemon instantly slumped over rather comicly at once. They were exhausted...

Laughing and shaking her head at her pokemon, the trainer started over towards where the cooking supplies was when several new trainers caught her attention.

"Huh...." A quick glance at her watch told her with was about a half past six. "Funny...I wasn't expecting everyone to be here until at LEAST sevenish or so. Ah well, guess I might as well whip up some breakfast!" Grabbing a large pot and a stirring ladle, Jen quickly got to work on building up a large campfire. In the meantime, Aeon had recovered a bit faster than Aman or Demyx and had started the self-task of gathering food items for his trainer to cook.

The tarous gave a snort that seemed to say 'stupid human, I'm not going to squish you.' and turned away from Sienna. Sienna relaxed and pulled her hat back on her head of curly brown hair. Still wary of the tarous around her, Sienna walked over to the black Ninetails handing out papers. She recived one of the papers and read over it. 'Hmm..looks like I'm on wagon six.' she looked over the numbers painted on the wagons and walked towards wagon six. 'And we have to load stuff on it? okay.'
Dropping her backpack in an empty spot on the wagon, Sienna went to search for gear marked with a six.

Sienna also watched some other trainers work together with their pokemon. 'I hope that'll be me after this trip' she thought as she picked up a bag of food with a six on it.
After lugging it back to the wagon she set it down in a pile with other assorted gear they would need.
