Elly grunted softly, and nipped at his ear as he brushed against her. She nodded her head towards the back of the cave "There issss a tunnel, that joins to another cave, bordering by the damn and the forest" she said with a nod, padding towards it. The tunnel was near invisible in the dark shadows of the cave, and it was narrow, but she managed. In the intense dark, she seemed to let off a soft glow, which disappeared at her will, and then returned. Just to let Dark Prince know it wasnt a permanent uncontrollable weakness. They reached the other cave shortly, it was smaller, but held many hidden alcoves, and there was a nice large flat rock that was warm from the sun, but hidden from sight from the opening. She padded towards it, and tested it out. This cave suited her, she turned her head back to Dark Prince, not that she could see him.

he followed without a word, she certainly had plenty of tricks.. glowing... not exactly a good thing to do in a cave announcing your location to whomever may be by, but he let it pass without a word. He explored the smaller cave with the same care and critique as he had everything else. He liked the hidden alcoves for storage and possibly traps but he felt cramped and confined in here, less room to maneuver. He stood next to the flat rock looking towards the opening, it might serve as a good flanking location but he preferred the larger cave certainly, he shifted his wait irritably, he was ready to keep moving and exploring, he turned without a word and returned to the large cave for more exploration, he liked the cool breeze that was coming from further in the cave and so set forth to follow it

Elysia grunted softly, and dug her claws into the flat rock, this would be her cave. She nodded in satisfaction, then followed Dark Prince. Her tails swayed. Her mind wandered as she followed him. She wondered what her father would think of what they'd done. Of what she'd done. Or helped do. She knew, her mother wouldnt approve, nor her brother. Altho, she'd never gotten along with her brother. Not even since birth really. After a while, she grew bored of exploring, she knew the area before arriving to it. And she couldnt see it anyways. But she could feel it.

Soon, she wandered back to the opening of the larger cave, and lied down, her front paws hanging over the edge, her tail tips curling and uncurling, like a cat with alot on its mind, might. She would gaze out, over her kingdom, had the eyes to gaze. But she could feel it just as well. She was part of it. It was part of her. Her father had to understand that. But she knew in her heart he wouldnt.

He was becoming more and more pleased by the cave system the more he explored it, he had found an underground spring which had created a lake in one part of the cave system and there were small animals living in here... if push came to shove they could survive in here for weeks without leaving the system, and if he found more back doors they wouldn't have to worry at all about being trapped inside. He even found a crook in the wall in the section of the cave which had the lake, that would be his bed. It was set back and shadowed even in this dim light -- for the lake itself gave off a phosflorecent glow. He would be able to see everything that happened in this section of the cave without worrying about being seen. Part of his mind said to 'lie down, take a nap, who knows what the day will bring yet, rest is good, take a break' but he had work to do traps to set and supplies to fetch so he went out again to the entrance where Elly lay.

"Ready for more work?" He didn't look to her when he said it but walked past her and outside. He went to the damn and broke off branches which weren't crucial to the structure and began to sharpen them into points. Once his pile had grown to a large size he began digging holes in locations invaders were sure to go. He would stick the spikes into the pits and create thatching to cover the hole so that any uninvited guest would be greeted with pain and possibly death.

Elly tilted her head, and thought about the question. Was she ready for more work? Her stubborn determination told her to push ahead, but part of her said 'get someone else to do it' That method has always worked well for her at home. There were lesser creatures sure, and they had a purpose. She pushed herself up, and easily made her way down the cliff face. Padding over to the side closest to the ocean, she worked on a few traps of her own. Altering a natural small creek, she adjusted it slightly so she could easily make it carry electricity. Granted if she wanted to she could make the whole surface of the sand carry a current, that was besides the point. The tedious task of her creek work cooled her down, and let her mind wander. Only her legs were getting wet though, but still, it had an effect.

Once his pits were set he looked for other traps he could make... quick sand... poison spines hidden just under the surface... he would start on the spines, the quick sand would be left to her. When he was done setting the spines he looked over his work, it was good, if he hadn't placed the traps himself he might have fallen for a few of them. Only those who live in the desert know how to make the sand look as though it had never been touched. He looked to the sky, it had been quite a day and dusk was well on its way. "Any good making quick sand?" He looked to her, he had asked alot of her today and knew she was tired, but he wasn't going to let up on her. She could take it she had proven that, she was strong and he wasn't going to ask of her any less than her best. He knew she could deliver so why treat her like she was weak, it would only be insulting to them both.

Elysia, flicked an ear and raised her head. She didnt turn to face him, not like she could see anyways. She padded out of the small creek, shaking her body out. Elysia made her way towards Dark Prince. "Itssss not quick ssssand i was rigging up" she said with a malicious grin, and a chuckle "Making it more suseptable to accept a current. Should an intruder find themsssselves in the area, they'll be temporarily paralyzed" She rather loved the many effects a current could have over the structure of a kitsusagi. She was born of it, so it only had a possitive effect on her. "Once imobile...the sand will do the resssst" she said with a nod.

"Thats nice but not what I was asking" he did like the sound of it, but real quicksand ... it didn't matter if you were paralized or not you still couldn't get out "lets get sleep first, we can start again tomorrow" he didn't feel like getting into an argument and she had worked very hard that day, he went inside his cave to the nook he had found in the large chamber and went to sleep

Elly, had a different perspective. She liked listening to them squirm. They would plead, beg, threaten. When they were nearing a final point in their life, they would revert to such a primal nature, to pure instinct, it was enough to almost want her to release them, if only they'd stay in the primal nature. Alas, they would never. They would be released, and shortly after, revert to their stuck up normal weak selves.

She growled softly, at Prince's chauvinist attitude. She knew that by now he'd figured out she want a useless twig, and his better then thou attitude was un-called for. She thought about rigging up quicksand traps, but she wasnt about to cow down to him. If he wanted quicksand traps, he could bloody well build them himself. She worked, for a few more hours, until the last of the energy stored up that she got from the sun, neared drainage.

She made her way along the cliff-face, to her cave, she gave a great yawn, and flopped down heavily on the smooth rock, that was still warm from the sun, despite the fact that it has been dark for hours. She crossed her blood red paws, that were currently dripping some of the red fluid, and lowered her skinless maw. Rome might not have been built in a day, but a desert oasis complete with booby traps and vantage points, was.

DP woke with first light, course you couldn't tell it by how dark the cave was, but he knew. He had always woken with the rise of the sun and his body wouldn't let him sleep any later. He went outside to look over his desert, small but a good start. They needed to make it larger so it would be a stable desert rather than needing elly to command the sands to stay. The rock ledge and ocean were good stopping points on this side, natural ends to deserts, but the forest would need to be pushed back much farther. He set out to the edge of the desert, avoiding the traps as he went, elly had made more after he left, no quick sand but plenty more traps. He walked around them all, he knew the sand well enough to find the traps but any trespasser would be fooled, she did well.

On the edge of the forest he set to work tearing down trees and plants, leaving a wake of destruction, he wouldn't stop till night fall or an interruption called for his attention. This wood he had decided would be for traps inside the caves, trip wire traps that could de-bowel any unwanted visitor. The birds of the woods had fast learned his scent and abandoned their trees as he approached. Squawks of disaprooval fell on def ears as he toiled, he paused only now and again to snack on some mangled branches for breakfast

Elysia, having fallen asleep on her sunning rock, woke when the rays started sinking into her pelt. She stretched out her body, feeling re-energized from the suns rays. She shook her head, and grunted, padding down the cliff. She heard the destruction, and avoided Prince's destruction with ease. She went first to the stream which she had rigged up, and got a long drink. The water turned red, from her bleeding paws. Her paws wernt bleeding from working too much, or from any wound. They just bled.

Her ears perked up, hearing something russling about in a bush to her left, on the other side of the stream. She growled softly, and lept over the stream and padded towards the noise. Once she was relatively close, she pounced, and heard a startled squeak, there was a terrified jarmble of words, in an endless stream of begging. At once, Elly knew the source. "Kesssssa, what are you doing here?" she asked with an exasperated hiss, letting the guardian go.

Kesa squeaked again, and steadied himself, still shaking like a leaf in the wind, but that was normal for the over energized guardian. "you're-father-was-worried-about-you-you-been-gone-long-time-he-wanted-to-make-sure-you-wernt-hurt"
He said in his signature high pitched squeak one breath sentence. Once he got what he came to say out, he scurried over Elly (literally, crawling up her leg onto her shoulder), and peered over her shoulder, at the new desert. "That-wasnt-there-before!" he said with a gasp, and a wag of his little tail.

Elysia groaned and turned to face the desert, causing Kesa to turn around too, to face the desert. "itssss a new addition" she huffed. "And you can tell father i'm fine. I've just been busy working, thats all."

DP was able to clear the woods back to a grassy clearing which he would have the desert claim as well, from there he cleared the trees back further until he had more wood than he could use on traps alone.. perhaps some scaffolding in the higher areas on the cave, scaffolding only he would be able to access with his athletic ability.. course those pesky flying kitsu's would be able to get up there... perhaps nets to limit their access to above... hmm... so much planning .. and with no thumbs. He started to haul the felled wood back to the cavern for constructions, he had already managed to double the area they cleared yesterday, it was time for some interior decorating, he chuckled at that thought, interior decorating.

He got back to the opening of the cave dragging a load behind him, he didn't see Elly anywhere, hadn't she gotten up yet? He scoffed at her, she didn't seem to be the lazy one but she was nowhere in sight of the desert so where was she if not being lazy?

Elly growled at Kesa "We're fine Kessssa, you can tell father that" she said with a flick of her tails

Kesa shook his head "Kae-needs-to-see-you-he-said-so-himself" The guardian squeeked out. Peering over Elly's shoulder he saw the desert, and the more destruction that went on. His eyes went wide, and then with one swift motion, he lept off the nightmares back and darted through the desert.

Elly lept into action, chasing the guardian through the rigged desert, she didnt want him to get hurt. Her father would have her head if anything happened to Kesa. Even though he was highly annoying, Kae'lic was fond his guardian. Elly lept up, and pinned the guardian, before he fell into a trap. "Itssss not sssafe to run free through here" she said with a growl.

Kesa gulped, and nodded softly, wiggling out from under Elly, he stood in front of her, taking in all the desert had to offer. It was huge.

Just before entering the mouth of the cave DP caught a streak of color out of the corner of his eye, he turned to see elly pinning a small creature, he dropped the wood and trotted over with a smile "catch yourself a snack? Seems awfully small though ... what is it?" He looked closely at the creature and gave it a sniff "well whatever it is, don't play with it too long don't want it to have the chance to run off and ruin our desert surprise for everyone, now do we" He smiled again, so she was hunting, he was glad to know she wasn't being lazy and useless, he trusted her to get to work and get things done so he turned to go back to his own work again

Elysia grunted softly "Itssss not food, its my fathers guardian" she said with an angry flick of her tails "Kessssa, this is Dark Prince, Prince, thissss is Kesa" she said with a shake of her body. Her ears flicked

From the opposite side as to where Kesa was found, a large, black figure, lurked. It remained out of sight for the most part, staying to shadows, never entering the desert thought.
