(Am at work now and it's a bit better ^^)
Sohalia raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what he thought. She licked the bones clean on her fish then pushed it back into the stream to be carried away by the natural flow of the waters.
She sighed and spoke softly, "Wish meager fish meals like that at least when and if I earn my wings once more I'll be light enough to not strain myself." She grinned at him.
"So what brings you here?" Her eyes were keen on him, watching and awaiting any possible danger. Even if he proved harmless thus far, they were still quite near her home and she would watch any creature just the same.

“Wings?” he asked intrigued. ‘That would surely explain the energy pattern around her back,’ he thought to himself looking around the valley. “Hmm, O I was mealy out exploring, a friend mentioned that there was once a volcano near here. Well he didn‘t actually call it a volcano but I figured out that was what he was talking about.” Seraphim frowned, he was starting no notice that he was babbling a lot around her. ‘Why am I so nervous around her?’

Sohalia smirked, turning on him angrily for an instant, "Yes, wings, you should know the word." She sniffed indignantly.
"Well, you funny bird, you're a ways off of your mark by my guess. I only know of such smoking mountains come from the southwest of here..." She began to groom her paws delicately.

Seraphim stared at her startled by her sudden hostility. “What, did I say something wrong?” he asked meekly. He glared at her. “I’m not a bird, I’m a gryphon,” he said somewhat insulted. “I only asked about the wings because your marked by them. I didn't know if you were aware of that or not.”

Sohalia just gave a soft huff, not really sure what to say, she had no answer to whether he had said something wrong without coming off as sounding like a child. She smirked at his last words, "Aren't gryphons half eagle? I thought eagles were suppose to have sharp eyes. I don't have any wings..." She gave a sigh at the last, under her breath and sorrowful.

“Yes I’m half eagle but that doesn’t make me a bird,” he said hating to be called a bird. Seraphim blinked and sighed softly. ‘Wings must be a sore spot with her,’ he thought to himself. “You might not have physical wings but your energy pattern forms wings. I wonder if that means you can grow some,” he mused. He chuckled darkly. “Of all the powers I could have kept why did it have to be a mostly useless one. After all what good is being able to sense energy and know how it forms.”

Sohalia flicked her head in a rather haughty motion, making her hair flip up then cascade around her head and shoulders, "Well, if you -must- know my personal affairs, I was born with wings..." The hair on her spine raised a bit at having to admit that to a stranger. "But yes, your powers do seem quite inconvenient." Her tail lashed back and forth, she didn't like being prodded into corners about revealing herself.

Seraphim backed of relysing that she was only getting angrier. Moving slightly down stream of her he sat down to think things over. “Celestial often told me I don’t know when to quit, guess she was right.” Looking into the water he was startled, for a moment he could have sworn he had seen Celestial. "Water is a good medium for divining but is it possible here?" he asked himself. Turning to look at Sohalia he hesitated to ask if she knew.

Sohalia grinned and let her tail slide side to side, cooling off her temper. She overheard his words and smirked, "I don't think it's that magical... the deities here seem to work a bit differently. Though I wouldn't personally know, my brother has had more effect from them than myself."

Seraphim looked back into the water but didn’t see anything. “Guess it was just my imagination,” he said humorlessly. Standing he walked back over to her. “It’s strange, I’ve never missed Celestial before, maybe because I know I could see her when ever I wanted and now that’s not a option.” He paused in front of her. “You never did tell me your name.”

Sohalia tilted her head, being able to at least commiserate with him about missing children, "I don't see how you couldn't miss her before, she still was and ever will be your flesh and blood. But I certainly understand the feeling of missing one's children... even if they might not miss you in turn." She grinned bitterly at that which turned into a mischievous look that twinkled in her eyes at his next comment. "Aah, but what is in a name but a label to which you attribute to yourself, hmm Seraphim?" She chuckled softly.

“Something people can call you besides Hey You,” Seraphim said amused. He regarded her intrigued. “If you won’t tell me your name shall I just call you Beautiful?” he asked impishly. He walked back to the edge of the pool and looked in but he saw nothing but fish. Shaking his head he turned back to Sohalia. “I’m not really surprised, as a spirit of fire and air, water has never been at my command.”

Sohalia laughed in a delighted manner, a twinkling crystal clear laugh, though not with mirth, with mischief and intrigue. She stretched out her body, laying flat against the ground now, never taking her eyes off him. When she was done she had stretched her full length on the ground and gave him a mischievous grin. "Beautiful will work... for now." She snickered softly under her breath and gave him a wink.
"At your command? Now you sound as if you were a great magic user. Though I sense that you are still changed here as most are."

“Magic user, no but I know a few,” Seraphim said looking for a place to lay down. Picking out a nice green spot he stretched out and let his wings unfold. Completely unfolded his wingspan was twice his length. Looking at her he considered what she had said. “What do you mean by changed?”

Sohalia grinned at his reply, then turned away not wanting to watch his magnificent wings. She was watching the ripples of the water as she spoke, slowly to be sure of her words, "Some change... becoming a shadow of what they were... or stronger... unless born to this land you change if you have knowledge of what came before..." She smiled softly, "It is difficult to explain and I don't know all there is to know of course."
