She grinned and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of the fire and the warmth of their body heat. "If I hadn't met you, I would be stuck out in the rain, freezing to death." She shuddered at the thought. "So I guess I'm really lucky, huh?"

"I guess," he grinned, watching the fire snap. He didn't even notice when the rumble of the thunder faded into the crackling of the fire and the rain stoped dripping through the hole above the firepit.

Lilith leaned her head against him and almost fell asleep right there, but she kept talking to keep herself awake. "Do you live around here? I had wondered kind of far from home. I'm not totally sure I can find my way back even. I wonder if the others are worried about me yet..." She then paused so he could answer.

"Well, I had been planning to make this my home," he said, gesturing to the roots around them. He frowned a little, not liking the fact that her family would be worried about her so far away in the storm. He offered, "I could help you find your way back; I'm sure they're plenty worried about you."

She was surprised when he said this might become his home. She was used to living inside a human house. But this place was nice and cozy..and very comforting. When she heard what he said next, she frowned. "Oh no!" She clung to him suddenly. "I don't want to leave yet!"

"We don't have to leave yet," he said hastily, getting nervous at the fact that this was the third time or so that she had clung to him, "We don't have to leave until you want to."

"Oh!" She released him and moved away a bit. "Good! I was worried you were getting tired of me already." She blushed slightly, but it was hard to tell beneath her pink fur.

"I'd find that very hard to do," he laughed, inching just a little closer to her. A thought just came to him, and he couldn't help asking, "Would you like to swap secrets?"

She wasn't sure what he meant for a moment. Then she remembered that she had told him the conclusion the flower had given her was a secret. She figured he meant that. "Hmm...depends on how good your secret is."

He replied with a grin, "My secret is my name, remember?" Though he wouldn't admit it without her asking, he was almost hoping more to know the answer than he was simply curious about it.

Lilith thought for a moment. "That is a secret that I do need to know. Alright then," she said as her eyes narrowed. "How do we do this?" She let her blanket fall to the ground around them, not concentrating on it or anything else besides the namir beside her anymore.

"Ummm..." he thought for a moment, then brightened, "We can both turn away and write our secrets in the dirt, then we can turn around again and swap places, each seeing the other's secret at the same time!"

"Well..." she paused, "Alright!" She grinned. She was thinking over what she should write exactly as she moved away from him. She looked back to make sure he was doing the same. Then she turned and faced away from him and cleared the dirt so it would be easy to read.

Smiling, he turned around, promptly smoothing out the dirt and writing in slightly sloppy letters. "Gossimer" Once it was written he simply sat and stayed staring at his name, waiting calmly until she had written her secret down.

Lilith stuck her tongue out as she wrote in her neatest script, "He loves me". She looked at the words and then nodded to herself. "I'm ready!" she called as she almost looked over her shoulder, but she stopped herself and waited for him to give the word.
