Despite all the best efforts of her comrades, Llune's really in no danger, nor does she need the help. After her first failed attempt to pull herself out of the pool, Llune uses an old Glider trick. Even though it's really not a trick at all. Upon her second resurfacing, Llune notices the others at the edge of the pool, "Oh, thank you, very much, but I think I've got it..." she says politely, and begins lifting herself from the water.
Although she's had the skill all her life, gliding is not the first thing that comes to Llune's mind when moving *herself* is in question. Her first instinct is to walk or skip or climb, and only after that fails will she remember that she could use her powers of levitation to work things out. This is what happens when one spends eons only using their magic for such mundane things as holding fabric to be cut or picking up scattered beads.
Slowly Llune levitates upwards out of the water, then over to the edge of the pool, sopping wet and dripping. "Oh, dear, I'm soaked!" she exclaims when both her feet are on firm ground, "It's a good thing that it's warm today!" she smiles at the others, her hair wet and flat, tangled and partly in her face. She looks disheveled, like a child in for lunch from play, and just as happy; she begins immediately to push her hair from her face and start wringing out her dress. All the awkwardness of the naked send is forgotten as the new task of drying out and getting put back together like a proper elf takes all Llune's attention.

Dancer laughs at all the events of the day thus far once she knows Llune is ok. "My goodness this has been some day so far." Turning her attention to Blaze again she smiles brightly. "Give me a few days to warn him I will bring others with me and I will gladly take you." She glanced back at Llune. "And you if you like, to meet him."

Still working the water out of her dress, Llune looks up and smiles while wringing, "That sounds lovely!" she says, "Perhaps we should invite him for a visit to our little cove - there's really no reason any of us should be trying to survive all on our own anymore, afterall."

Gliding still fascinated Blaze even after so many times of seeing it in use. Shure he had his heat magic, but flight... It went so blatantly against the common order of things. Shrugging off the thought, Blaze reverted to his normal sending in place of speaking.
**Is he really that delicate that he needs a few days warning? Perhaps I shouldn't come...** Then, at Llunes suggestion that Crosscurrent come to them, he perked up. **Llune has a point. Besides, I'm still not completeley confident as to the security of this area. We never did understand who or what tore those humans up like ragdolls-** Suddely, Blaze slammed his mind closed.
He wasn't supposed to have told anyone about that...

Big blue eyes blink as the mind closes swiftly like a door in the face. Her send push into his head just incase Llune missed what he said. *Uuummm Did you say Humans?* Those big eyes narrowed a bit. *But they're dead right? You just said something tore them up right?* Dancer was starting to get a look he had seen on her face right before she bawled him out for his harsh send. *Why would we not need to be told that humans could be lurking so close to the cove?* Her send was not angry yet as much as worried for the youth who had just left them. Worried for any who (like Peyote) knew nothing of safty in the forest and didn't care to learn either.

Suddenly, Blaze realized the opportunity that had fallen right into his lap, and his controlling, scheeming nature resurfaced with a meanhearted vengance. He feighned regret and hesitance, and began to send in half-truths.
**Savith told me not to tell anyone... Maybe he thought you'd be frightened like little children. (a possibility) He kept it a secret from everyone besides Star and me; Star because she found it, I because I was the one who burned it to the ground. I accepted what he said as being the best thing for everyone, and now I see that might be very wrong. (if its not good for Blaze, that's not everyone is it?)**
He "let slip" a flash of the carnage. **Blood everywhere, bodies torn up; something's out there. (something could be a squirrel)**
Blaze pulled his hat down over his face, as if to hide from something horrible. But he was so pleased with himself, he was grinning.

*You're an IDIOT you know that?* Now she was just who he remembered the day they met. *You told me you would watch over the cub with your life. You let her go off knowing "something" let alone humans were out there.* She clenched her fists. *You gave me your word and I see it was worthless.* She pulled herself back before saying the rest of what she wanted to say. "Savith is smart and would not let harm knowingly come to any of us." She spoke to herself then stood looking down at Blaze's hat. Till she gripped the brim and quickly pulled it up to speak to him face to face and look him in the eyes. "You better hope your worthless word didn't make her find her death and she better come back to us all well and good or it won't be good for you." She pulled the hat down over his face and stormed off. Dancer knew she couldn't take anyone except maybe Dew Paw and Peyote in a fight but if the cub was harmed in any way he would pay somehow.

Having his truthfullness questioned and life threatened was nothing compared to what preceded it. **The little wolfrider is gone? Why was I the last to know this? Don't walk away from me!** His mind began to boil over with rage that had only ever led to action, and his sends carried the same black heat. Then it clicked he had been threatened, and his venom multiplied into a snarl. **If he's so smart, where's our guard-watch? Who let Dewpaw leave? Not me, I was busy chasing away dead bodies that did no more harm than stink! I can show you the ashes! Can you show me proof of your claim?**

All this while Lune has been still and silent. Humans. She remembered the humans that had lived around the mountain. Sure, they were clumsier, nowhere near as graceful as elves. But they were kind, they brought gifts, they had families...
Llune's eyes lined with unshed tears for the dead - funny, she would begin to weep at the thought of a human village decimated, and not the idea of the mountain crushed... But perhaps this brings everything into perspective. Not only were elves displaced, wounded and killed... *All* creatures endure this hardship. Even the humans.
Admittedly, she hasn't paid much attention to stories of the murderous deeds of some groups of humans. Her only experience is with the "bird worshippers." But to know whole families, entire groups have been wiped out?
And then Dancer and Blaze start arguing, their sends sharp and loud, and Llune covers her ears, **Stop, stop, we are solving NOTHING like this!** she exclaims, her send loud enough for both to hear, "You are both so full of passion and energy but it does not have keen direction. If there is a problem we must work together to fix it, not argue amongst ourselves to find someone to blame."
She sighs, deeply, hoping the two 'cubs' are paying attention now, "If the village has been properly buried or burned, then the village itself is not an issue. Dewpaw is no one's ward but her own, she made the decision to travel - none of us would dream stop another if they desired to leave, we should not treat Dewpaw as if she's helpless. As for the 'something' that may be lurking, I was cautioned when I arrived that larger creatures and predators would eventually come to our cove in search of water - any of these creatures may have been involved with the demise or consumption of the humans at any time."
She sighs again and switches to send so the others can see just what she means, **If there is a concern, then we should ALL discuss it, instead of tear at each other's throats in panic.**
She's finished. She doesn't know if the youngsters will listen or ignore her. Frankly, she's most used to being ignored. But it seems that perhaps the whole group should get together to talk about what needs to be done, and what preparations may be necessary in the event of "what if." She wrings one last time at the hem of her dress, sets her jaw, and says firmly, "I will organize a group meeting for this evening so that we may ALL discuss, CALMLY what should be done."

Yes she heard Llune as she started to leave. But her only comment was *Yes a meeting with everyone might be nice.* Her tone was angry but not at Llune. Then her gaze moved back to Blaze. *You are still an idiot. You gave me your word she would not leave your site.* Her send to him alone and no other. *You are a hot headed idiot and I have no use for you or your words. I will leave when I choose and YOU can not stop a cub so I suppose you won't stop me. Why don't you burry yourself in the sand or take a long swim into the vast deep and drown.* She was scared for the young one so her anger and frustration was let out on Blaze. Again she turned to go giving Blaze her back.

Blaze realized he wasn't going to get much farther with Dancer in her current mood, so he said no more. Getting angry wouldn't end well.
Instead, he turned to Llune, and lock-sent as calmly as he could. **What do you mean by 'she made the decision to travel?' That would mean you knew she left on her own violition. That means you let her go, does it not?** The corners of his mouth twitched in a half-smile and he sat back down in the sand. **I will not spread that around; what is done, is done. We can only hope for her safe return.**

Llune can sense the tension in the air once Dancer turns to leave the cove, and then Blaze sends. Despite the not-so-different emotions in both the sends (anger and anger), Llune understands the differences in their intent, and responds without sending.
"I thought everyone knew that she had gone..." she says quietly, her voice somber and serious, "And for what reasons she wished to leave..."
Perhaps Llune is referring to Blaze's painful welcoming send to the wee elf, perhaps she's referring to something else. And perhaps Llune's learned a thing or two about being clever with her words after her few thousand turns with the conniving Glider folk...

Blaze's sends slowed to a lazy drawl. **I think I see what you are implying here. I could have kept better watch on her; that is true. It is also true that I am agressive, uncouth, and generaly a nasty b*****d. However, this is all talk. If we really were worried she would get hurt, we would be after her now. So drop it untill she comes back missing an arm or we find the body, ok?** True, it was harsh, but all these wordgames were dust in the wind to him; interesting, irritating at times, but mostly useless.
