Ohh, this is neat. 3nodding I was just thinking of learning SL last night. Then I'd be able to talk to people from anywhere! *_*
I heard a funny story from my dad! XD There was a SL convention thingy here, and my dad was reading a story from someone there. They met someone and were making great friends with them... And when he got a letter from them it was in another language and he couldn't understand it! XD Haha! It makes me wonder which language it was in, though. ninja

that is funny. it makes sense that it would be different from other places even in the U.S.
one time my dad met this deaf person, she was not only mostly deaf but she spoke spanish. so it was very interesting to see them interacting. (although i guess it would have been more impressive if my dad didnt know spanish lol)

I know most of the ASL alphabet... just not 'f' and 'p'. I can never remember those ones.
I also know 'boy' 'girl' and 'mentally retarded'... and a few others I can't think of right now...

Scratch that. I now know the entire alphabet. And I was showing my sister (who I've slowly been teaching it to) and my mom saw me and was all "o.O when did you learn that?" sweatdrop I've known most of the alphabet since I was... ten? (just not 'f' and 'p' of course) So... ten years ago. XD

I know the alphabet in ASL...well, except for q I think..and x... heh. Jeanie and I had to sit across the cafeteria from each other in middle school, so when we got worksheets of the alphabet we learned them and spelled everything out back and forth. razz
To differentiate words, we shook our hands. It was pretty cool ^___^

I saw some people signing on the bus the other day. Renewed my interest in the language - although I've done nothing about it. ><
But I told my sister that she has the learn sign language so that when we go scuba diving (gotta learn that too) we can communicate underwater.

There's some deaf people at my school, and also American sign language classes.
Always towards the middle of the year I see alot of people speaking to eachother in sign language. I'm taking the sign language class right now. It's only for juniors and seniors...I've been wanting to take this class since before I was even in highschool. >_>

i went to this silent dinner where a lot of deaf people get together to eat, and i was supposed to talk to someone but i was kind of shy so i guess you could say that that i was kind of 'evesdropping' on them. i'm so rude, lol.
