I have had much time to plan. Though frankly, I'm tired of traveling alone. I know I am probably cursed to, but for once I wish I could find someone who liked to travel as much as I, and didn't mind a companion. He often found himself wishing he had someone now-a-days to travel with. Maybe it was because he was getting older, and was starting to get up in his years. he wasn't sure, because one day, about a year ago, he had wanted someone to be traveling with him. And he hadn't found that someone yet.

Ears perked lightly as the mare listened. Polite and quiet as he finished speaking. She had had much time too, but in all that time, there was no real planning. Safety was all over the woods. But, being safe was often a lonely act too; at least in her case.
"...Are you going to the ocean?" Teal eyes glanced around, seeing the green of trees and grass. All she had ever known. Ever. Again, she looked at Hidalgo. "Are you going to the ocean? I could use a guide to get there, if so.."

I go wherever i feel like traveling. He turned and smiled at her, a boyish grin that no matter how hard life had gotten, he had never seemed to lose. And I would love to take you to see the ocean. He flicked his ears backwards momentarily to listen to what was around him before tuning them back towards her. A light breeze picked up, lightly tossing his bangs across his forehead and causing his while and brown mane and tail to ripple lightly.
He raised his muzzle to the sky and lightly scented the air. There was the scent of a storm in the air; one that was building. But although there were clouds, it wasn't the storm that he scented. He turned his attention back to Setsumi.

"Really?" She blinked, not thinking that the deep blue was the location he had in mind. Figures it would be the one time she had the guts to bother asking. Now she faltered, glancing down shyly at the ground. Could she really go, and leave behind her home?
He moved and the mare glanced back at him. Then her nose too give a twitch. "What is it?" She glanced around but smelt nothing beyond the smell of the trees and shallow river.

He lifted his muzzle again, to test the air once more, before throwing his mane in a carefree manner; tuning brown eyes to her. There's a storm coming. I can smell it. I don't know if it will be tonight, or next week. But it's going to be a pretty big one when it finally comes. He watched her turn her gaze to the ground, and wondered if she was worried about leaving. He hadn't quite had a feeling of loss when leaving a home, for he didn't really have one.
We can come right back after we visit. I'll be sure to take you safely there, and bring you safely back. I promise.

A storm, that's right. Eyes turned to the sky, just seeing the a glimpse of the sky past thick trees. She would enjoy another storm soon, watching the rain and light in the sky again. But for now the weather looked fair, if a little windy. "I see now."
She shook her head, blue hair falling left and right. "You don't have to repeat the distance you take me. It must be tiring and somewhat annoying to do that." Or at least she thought it might be. She didn't want it to be like a chore for him. "Your promise is a kind offer. But like I said, only if it is not in your way of schedule." It was time either way for her to discover more of life outside the forest.

He shrugged his shoulders in a light-hearted manner. I have no schedule. I can head to the plains, or the forest, or head to the ocean. That's a great thing about being a roamer. I can go wherever I feel like. And repeating the distance is no problem. I would like to make sure you're safe on your journey.

Sumi nodded her head, all signs of grumpiness gone. "Alright then. Sounds like a plan. I get to see this ocean I've heard about, and you get to have a traveling companion." He didn't seem like a threat, and she felt she would be safe traveling in the open with him. Afterall, he knew more of the lands then she did. "Of course, just whenever you're up for it. You know where to find me now."

Hidalgo looked around, still noticing that the clouds were dissipating a bit. Actually, whenever you are ready. I am ready whenever. It's not like I have anyplace that I'm leaving. He motioned behind him to forest around him. Unlike you, I have no real home. Just the wind, and occasionally those that will journey with me. I have no place to really say goodbye to.

"Oh." The mare glanced around, seeing everything she already had seen. Ready whenever, even now. Seemed Hidalgo had the easier lifestyles of a rogue. Setsumi made herself too attached to her surroundings. "Well, I guess I do call it a home. Even if there is no one else here. It's just...safe." That's what made it her place to stay. She swished her tail, scared stiff but ready for change. "Al...alright then. Which way should we go?" 83;

Hidalgo turned his head towards the south, letting the small storm-breeze that had picked up tossle his mane and throw it to the side of his neck; causing the tips to gently tickle his neck. I think the closest ocean we will find will be to the south. If I have my paths correct, I can lead you straight there, and back home again safely. We will probably run into others though. Some will be friendly, others... won't be so much. But while you're traveling with me, I'll keep you as safe as I can. Brown eyes turned back to study her silently; knowing that this must be hard. He was sure she had never traveled before, at least not far. This was most certainly going to be an adventure.
