Now here was where Ryu was at a great advantage. Ryu was, at this moment, exploiting the greatest strenght of his earth wall and its greatest move. The great compress. At this point, the earthen defenses were at its greatest compaction not to mention that the earthen top was actually the portion with the least amount of collateral damage. The orb came up and the walls came down. The next thing the swordsman forgot about was the large amount of energy within the dome ment to increase its defenses by far more than that the earth itself. Heres what would be done to counter this seemingly failure proof tactic. Those spires that came from the ceiling exploded. Yes, they exploded above the orb. This force would indeed slow any moving object a great deal but that wasnt the only reason for whence they exploded. It sent dirt and earthen material into the steam. This earthen material withing the steam from a non firey explosion would diffuse the heat of the steam quickly while turning to a liquid itself in earthen form. This liquid would fall on the swordsman and possibly burn his face and inhibit his vision. At the same time Ryu felt the spires break and new an attack was coming.
The earth elements greatest expression......
The steam would still burst through his earthen dome but it would not have the affects that the swordsman wanted. With his hands in the way, the first part that would come into contact with the orb was the palms of his hands coated with his armor, the same armor that he had seen the clones wearing. This steamed orb was deflected by moving his hands to the side, throwing the orb to the left and out of the barrier of his earthen dome, through the ice, and into the atmosphere outside by its own kenetic force while he shifted his own body to the right and into the dome. However, a good deal of the heat that was once a part of the orb was not present there anymore. Upon contact, that breif moment, Ryu absorbed what he could into his armor and let is ressonnate with it. Because of this the armor liquified itself, running off his body and straight into the rising blade and hand of the swordsman. This mass of sticky, glowing, liquid, now attached, moved quickly down the arm of the man and eventually around his neck within the next moment. Things were coming down to the wire and Ryu would be wrapping up his hands for a while. Even though he was a fire elementalist he still could get burned and his hands would be stinging for a while. Just a little time left as the earth continued to compress. If he didnt make things go the way he wanted within the next few seconds he would be at a disadvantage. There were there downsides to the opening of the seals.

Problem. The interior of the upper dome is already heated to a ridiculous degree, in no part thanks to the excited steams diffusing it into the moldy structure itself. So when the spires exploded and sent earthen materials into the steam, the already heated surface of the soil added more fuel into the force of the steam - pressure from the dome's collapse causing the force to rise straight up to the dome's weakest point.
The now weakening top.
And the swordsman isn't just going to the top through the launch from his tower - nay, he's using the force of the pressure to ride the air straight to the top, everything that fell being redirected to slam that weak point -- That single point in which devastation is only the resulting end.
The heat may have dissappated through the use of the orb, and yet the remnant vapor that would now splash onto Ryu's unarmored body completely plus the pressure would be so strong that it can pin the foe right onto the top of the smaller dome without a second thought. It's a bad idea to break open a hole in a dome which Ryu had created so desperately.
One break, and the entire structure weakens like a building which has lost part of its integrity. The snake took advantage of that, spikes bursting right into the small dome from the top to impale Ryu's back right at the time the integrity slackened from the previous mention in the post before.
And with all the liquid that is flowing towards the swordsman from Ryu's armor, even among the dense that no doubt Ryu would try and use to either explode or strangle the swordsman alive with...
"If you want my wrath..."
With a blast of centrifugal force, water circling from inside the swordsman's body blasted out of his right arm and hand like a revolving cyclone, widening the sticky liquid out far enough away from his body and weapon to leave a clean shot for the blade to stab into Ryu's body when the foe is stuck on the dome with the spikes impaling the man's back.
"YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL!"
But wait. There's no killing in the tournament.
Tch.
The aim would be slightly off course, aimed for a non-lethal stab near the left torso, and give Ryu a taste of the swordsman's wrath.

One issue. Ryu had already dealt with the air pressure problem. By sending the orb into the wall, creating a second hole that would diffuse the air, there would be no force to push him into the top of his dome. Most of the heat was absorbed from the orb and used to activate his armor quickly. The vapor that remained would do little to him for it would be instantly sucked to the left due to the vacuum of air that would flow in that direction as a depressurization effect happened.
Control-
The liquid armor blew up like a balloon as the water attempted to push it off of his arm. One problem. Ryu wasnt about to let him get rid of his liquid that easily. As it blew up like a ballon he moved controlled a layer of it to slide off the top and latch on to an area that did not have water leaving. It was after this that the ballon popped and flew forward from its new held point to envelop not just the swordsmans arm but face and neck as well. This was something the swordsman couldnt avoid. It as hard to catch the peices of a popped balloon just after the pressure had blown it appart. One just didnt have the reaction time unless they had an enhancer like Ryu. Upon latching onto the swordsmans face/neck/upper arm/shoulder, the liquid around his face would merely block his means to breath by stuffing his nostrils. The liquid about his neck quickly moved around and took hold at the back and began to tighten and place a good amount of pressure on his neck. The pressure about the swordsmans arm/shoulder was worse....
Liquid compress-
The liquid about his arm/shoulder compacted inward with a great amount of pressure, enough to break bones into peices. This would be a problem for the swordsman if he didnt have his sword arm. Ryu was at his breaking point now. His energy wasnt exaugsted just yet but he was feeling the effects of the opening of the seal. His breath became heavy as he continued his assualt, putting himself in his own line of fire now for within the dome itself needles shot out from all directions. For the most part he would be left with bruises about his body since his mythril clothing would provide a decent defense. Those heading towards his head region would be stopped, floating about his head. Even from below needles rose up on the wave of pressure that the compressing earth was creating, fireing with greater speed. Ryu was running out of time.

And the blade struck home, stabbing straight into Ryu's torso without remorse. All the talk about crushing the swordsman's arm and strangling him alive -- But the non-lethal stab was never stopped at all. Even against the lack of pressure and the mythril cloth, he still carried enough momentum to get that stab into Ryu himself, piercing only one small section of the armor; The only thing he'll ever need, before the blade followed through into the flesh behind the armor.
Recall back to the point when the steamy pressure bursted right beneath Ryu's body. The stab came a split second later, and there was time to deflect the stab away for an entire post. But the foe never did do anything about the stab, even after the liquid armor that's dripping onto the swordsman's body in an attempt to ensnare and break.
He didn't care if he's gonna be severely injured or not by the needles or the crushing burst on his arm a split instant later --
Both of them were at a check. And now, the swordsman will ready a finale.
Puncturing through the armor by momentum and the force over a small area, the blade would most likely travel quite some distance into the flesh before it gets lodged inside somewhere in Ryu's torso. Water that swirled about his arms flowed up the weapon partially because of Ryu's balloon effect, flowing into the opening the blade had punctured through -- And freezing right inside the wounds as a last-ditch effort to tear the wounds apart even further, widening the injury and effectively maiming the foe through - well, let's face it -- a gaping hole on the flesh with ice frosted over it and inside of it. Prevents bloodloss and fatality, but it's an injury that's severe enough.
With the deadened nerves, the swordsman couldn't really feel his bones getting crushed under the liquid balloon. He can feel a sharp pain - though dull as it is, but he'd accomplished the strike that he's been aiming for.
Screw the needles that is going to be blown from all directions in a second or so. The snake bursted straight behind the weakened structure of the dome while the swordsman is being strangled, aimed to take Ryu out from behind.
If he's gonna get himself killed this way - He'll take Ryu down with him!
