"I try my best to make it that way, Sarah," Abel replied allowing his paw to work on its own and gently rub her cheek when she nuzzled it, before letting it fall. Something was... wrong. He hadn't noticed it before, but he felt differently towards Sarah than he did towards other otters. And that made him inwardly shrink a bit away from her. But then... She made him want to question his choices, and that was another warning. Or, at least it should have been. No warning bells went off, as if there was nothing wrong with feeling differently or questioning just one more rule. It wasn't like he believed in everything he had learned in his lifetime...

Sarah smiled and ran her claws back through her hair fussily "I should 'ead on 'ome now, thank you Abel...we will meet again?" She nodded softly already knowing the answer in her heart.
She wanted to see him again, she didn't really want to leave him now, but she had her duties, her home, her work. How silly it was to want to live under a tree...but...maybe just maybe it would be nice, the cool shade, less worries. Other otters....all around judging her. She held back a frown and pecked a kiss to his cheek before scampering off.

Abel had been about to reassure her that, yes, they would meet again, when she kissed him. It had just been on the cheek, but even that had been enough to send him frozen and blinking. He slowly wandered off towards home, and a lot of thinking to do.
