"Not takin my chances." He shook his head as he picked up a card. "I think i'm staying here"

He eyed his hand for a moment before he decide don one more card. Knowing Riley's luck tonight it would most likely be enough to kill him.

"I could always pop a button at my collar to give you a peek... Other than that, I'd say it's safer if I keep everything else on. I don't need to become a bar story.

"You are rather easy on the eyes." He laughed slightly as he picked up the cards to deal again. At least his hands seemed to be a bit better than theirs, even if Riley did still win. "And i have been lonely lately"
"Ya sure you're okay with all the lonely?" he picked up his glass and looked at his friend. "I mean ... ya still look down."

"I had heard that Riley was a pretty good cook." he nodded before he looked over at his friend. "I am alright. It is a bit lonely but it is not has if i can't survive" He could always go back to picking up companions for the night.
"Should do that. Leave the bar closed one night and come have dinner with us."

"Monday night is usually dinner night." One of them, at least. "Figure, that's a good slow day to close for the night, right? You bring the booze and we'll make the meal... Or I'll make it and Riley can stay out of my kitchen or he'll make it and I'll stay out of his."
He pulled his next card before glancing up. "Are either of you drawing again?"

"Nope, stayin right where i am." There was no way he was chancing that on an ace. Not when he was so close. Hopefully the smirk on Lou's face was just from the conversation and now for his cards. "We can cook, Lou can bring the booze." He nodded. "Sounds fair at least"
He set his down so the other two could see them.
He looked at Riley's cards. "It's been a damn long time since i've lost a hand of cards, much less two" He laughed as he set his cards down. "So long as you don't expect my good wine i believe i can agree to that"

"I'd like to know who you bribed to get all that. Generally you don't beat me." If only because Riley knew better than to play cards with him. It seemed his lady luck had left him tonight.
"Promise i'll make it up to ya later." He grinned as he stacked the cards back up. "Probably shouldn't press my luck anymore though ... getting silly now." He picked up his glass again to take a sip.

He pulled the cards back in front of him, giving them a good shuffle before reaching back to stuff them back into his pocket. "I'm definitely taking you with me the next time I play with the guys at the diner, Riley... With that sort of luck you could take the week off of work with what you'd win." He smirked, leaning back go finish his own drink.

"I think the boss'd kill me if i did that." He grinned as he finished off his drink. "Should be fun though. Just to see if it holds out that long. Hopefully i can live up to it." Garin kept saying that he'd have to come play with them and he would have to eventually.
Looking at his watch he scrunched his nose. "It's gettin late ... should at least get some sleep before work tomorrow." Or at least head home and pretend to get sleep.
"Bring some of those winnings by the bar, you know i'd never turn down tips from a pretty face." He smirked as he got up. He still had a bit of cleaning to do.

"Don't forget..." He stood, reaching for his coat so that he could let it dangle from his fingers back over his shoulder as he turned to the door. "Dinner at our place..." He paused for a brief second to recover from what he'd said without meaning to. "... One of our places... On Monday. Riley'll let you know where and by then and hopefully we'll have figured out what who's making so you know what alcohol to bring."
