An ear turned back as he heard her crash through the last of the under brush and into his sanctuary of sorts, his place to hide away from the world when he wanted to be alone, or perhaps with someone he found himself caring very much about. Turning somewhat to the side, Myrrh looked back at her as she looked around his small paradise. It held its own beauty, one that not many would see in just a passing glance.
Head raising a little a she asked where they were and the scowl that was thrown in his direction. Had he thought wrong to bring her here? Was it perhaps that maybe he was thinking too fast and unrealistically? Maybe, but he had to show someone who wouldn't go and perhaps ruin it...
"My secret place." He stated calmly looking back into the pond at his side. "A place where I come to be alone, but even being here alone it lonely." He shrugged looking back toward Sadie, "I though perhaps that you would like it too. A place where you, or we could escape the outside world..."
His head dipped a little as his ears remained forward on top his head. Shaking it soon he stepped away from the pond and over toward Sadie again, he might not have been as 'old' as she was, but he certainly felt like it.
"Really, it's a place where I come to tell my secret to the fish and butterflies. For what's spoken here never leaves for those that are told can not speak what they hear... If you believe in that kind of thing at least." His head turned to one side watching her as he had stopped not too far before her.

She looked away from him then feeling a bit guilty for being so rude. Everyone pretty had thier own secret place. Somewhere where they could hide from that which they didn't want to face at the time. She was ashamed to be so overreacting in a place that he held special for simple reasons. She had jumped to conclusions too quickly. She was still a bit causious though with the whole set up of it all.
"Oh, so this what this place is." she said softly still feeling bad. "It is a very nice secret place. Very peaceful and beautiful." she complimented politely. She pawed at the ground a bit before looking up to find hmi watching her and she blushed a bit.

He watched her look away, this made him step forward just a little, before taking the steps back and stood where he had before. Gold eyes watched the mare from where he stood as she pawed at the ground and a tint of pink was added to her copper and cream coloring. He had to admit that she was cute when she blushed, but he wouldn't admit it openly, not when they had just barely met at least.
"You are welcomed here, to come and go as you please. I just hope to someday spend the rest of my days with someone here, away from the dangers of the shadows."
Stepping back he looked toward the skies above before letting a termer shake down his spine. Letting it roll out his dark colored tail, Myrrh watched Sadie for a moment before stepping back to the pond to lower his head to drink from the clear surface. It would seem all too try to be in such a beautiful place with one he cared about. He just wasn't too sure of whom it would be... Perhaps her? An eye twisted painstakingly to one side trying to look back at Sadie, he wondered if she could be that one...

She watched him curiously as he drank, letting his words sink in. He was offering her his secret place to be her secret place as well. No one had ever done that before and she felt rather special now just from that small simple act. His wish or dream, she wasn't sure which is was, was simple as well. She was sure everyone wished to spend the rest of thier days with someone in thier own special place. She too had wished for such a thing, unfortunately it had ended badly and changed everything.
She flicked her ears before deciding to go to the pond and drink from it's cool surface as well. She slowly crept forward and dipped her own head down beside his and closed her eyes as the cool water slide down her throat. She hadn't been aware that she was so thirsty from thier run until now. This was truely a remarkable place.

Without really lifting his head from the pool, Myrrh watched her come closer and dipped her head to the pool to drink as well. Tail flicking behind him, he lifted his head now watching her. Taking in the idea that she was something more then just a Beautiful face, she was someone who he thought needed someone more then he could ever be, or how he felt anyways. Turning his head away he tried to make polite conversation... Tried.
"So... Did you haver have a secret place when you were younger?" he asked quite openly, dreading the other questions he might have had swimming around in the back of his skull. "I'm sure there are many if someone were to really look. I found this one when running from something in the shadows. The creature seemed afraid of the place and fled." He looked up toward the over laying branches that snaked out from the trees behind them.

His question did not suprise her. Of course he would have thought she had a secret place as well. She lifted her head and looked up at the branches above thoughtfully and then looked back down at the pool and the fish within it. "No, I never did have a secret place really. Not unless you could count the cave that me and my adoptive mother lived in as one. It was secretive and I felt safe and protected there." she answered as a small smile spread across her lips. She had such fond memories there in the cave with her mother. To her, that would also be home.
She continued to watch the fish as they swimmed lazily about the water without a care in the world. She supposed that this was a place free from worry and the every day stresses of life.

He listened to her speak of where she had lived when she was little with her adopted mother. He nodded remembering his own home near the top of the mountains. His parents too had a cave where they fled when the weather outside wasn't fit to be out in. Losing himself to his own thoughts, he didn't really realize that the place was silent besides the birds gossiping over head and the sound of the water flowing before them. Blinking a little she came back to his body and looked toward Sadie.
"Reminds me of my home and where my parents live. They live near the top of some mountain, well not really near the top, but close enough. There, there's a lake, off to one side a cave that leads to many rooms. One leading to a waterfall that mother loves to jump off even if she nearly broke her own neck the first time round." This brought a chuckle to his throat. My sisters, the ones gifted with wings leap off it as well, but they can fly before hurting themselves. My brothers and I... Well I know I wouldn't leap off a waterfall all willy-nilly like the rest..."
The thoughts of home brought back memories of their own as it seemed that they both were having pleasant flashbacks. Turning his head toward Sadie, he didn't really move closer nor away from her as he stood there in thought. He knew there were other tunnels in the cave where he had lived, perhaps one lead to where she had once lived. Perhaps not, it all depended on where she had grown up. Just about now he had wanted to go back home and explore some more... But home was a distance away and he didn't want to leave her here alone because he wanted to check something...
"Perhaps sometime I can show you where I had lived. That is if you want to anyways, for there are many tunnels behind my family's main chambers. Perhaps ones that even lead to where you had once lived?" he shrugged, "Perhaps not, but worth seeing at the very least."

She listened as he talked about his family and felt a bit of jealousy that he had memories such as those when she did not. It had always been her and her mother, no one else. They at least had something in common and that was where they called home. She had never heard of other Soquili living in caves before but atleast she didn't feel so awkward knowing that he had once lived in one as well.
"That would be interesting to do. Explore the caves and see where they lead. Though I am not sure if any of the tunnels would lead to my cave. I lived at the foot of the moutains, deep in the forest, and I doubt anyone would be able to find it." she said thoughtfully. The idea did interest her though. What if there really was a tunnel from her home that lead up through the moutain to where he had lived? That would be some interesting connection that they would share as well. "But it would be interesting if both our homes were connected. I never really explored my cave home much. I was always with mother when she went out. I never really went off on my own when I was little."

Nodding, Myrrh shuffled his hooves a little as his legs felt like they were going to sleep on him from standing there too long or something. Thinking back to his home, he and his sister had did a bunch of exploring, but never too deep into the mountain. There were still caves and tunnels that remained a mystery to even him and his family. Maybe, just maybe one lead to the base of the mountain where she had lived, or close to it. Stomping a hoof it seemed like a plan.
"Maybe tomorrow or whenever you like, I can show you the caves where my family live." He nodded remembering where the cave was, the one surrounded by willows that dragged the ground. "Perhaps my parents will be there and you can meet them... My father Andre is a bit more playful then my mother whom seems to love everyone she meets. My sisters, well one if off making a family of her own with one of her friends. The other I haven't a clue, I haven't seen her in a while, my brothers... They have poofed as well."
An ear twitched at the thought of his family being so split up, but at least they all weren't under each other's hooves... Turning his toward the skies, they seemed to suddenly have turned to a burnt orange almost rustic gold and pink, a sign that night was fastly approaching and soon those of the night would be awakening. Where had the day gone it seemed that it had only started a few moments ago.
"The night always seems to come so quickly," Myrrh mused to himself before looking at Sadie. "I'll walk you back to where we met if you like. I don't think I could live with myself if I let you go alone..." Had he just said that? Indeed he had and now it was too late to take it back, what was said. Was said, whether it was meant to be said in the first place. "Er... That is if you want me to." He tried making up for it, but it felt like he was stumbling over himself mentally.

She turned to him and cocked her head to the side curiously. She hadn't expected him to invite her to go exploring his home or to walk her back to where she could find her way back home. It was very nice of him and she wasn't going to be impolite. "I don't mind if you walk me back. It is my first time here and we were running so I doubt I could find my way alone." she said with a small smile. There she went again with the weird smile and emotions. She didn't understand it but figured it was best not to fight it now.
"As for the exploration, if your family wouldn't mind my poking about thier home, I would really enjoy seeing if our caves were connected. Might prove to be quite the adventure after all." she really was curious to see whether or not it was possible. Her mother had never told her about the other caves nor what lay further into the one in which they lived. It was all so intrigueing to her to say the very least.

"I don't think they would mind at all. They mainly stay in their chamber off to one side the last time I knew. Or down by the pool at the base of the waterfall." Myrrh tilted his head in thought, it was just about right at the very least.
Turning back the way they had come, he stepped over toward the trees looking into the shadows. His mind slowly coming back to him to make some sense. True his emotions had been hidden behind months of realistic looking, hardly playing with his siblings when he had the chances back then. Looking back toward Sadie, he waited for her to join him, though his gaze went to the skies as twilight was starting and already the stars were starting to peek through the dark blue and purple cloak of night.
"Like a cloak woven of blue and purple feathers. The night shrouds the world in a blanket of stars in which all can enjoy in their own way." He stated quite poetically though it held some truth to it. "But we shall be back to where things are familiar before the cloak is complete." He nodded gesturing with a hoof as if to say, 'Ladies first'.

She stepped forward and followed him as the poetic words made thier way into her mind. She had never heard someone put the night into such words as those. It was a rather interesting spin on it. This only made her think more about the way things were. Who knew that she would end up meeting one such a him and he would end up showing her his secret place? Certainly not herself, that was for sure.
"I have never heard anyone put the night skie into such words as those. Rather interesting way of lookinf at it." she said stopping for a moment to look at the sky before proceeding ahead of him. "I hope your right that your family wouldn't mind. I would feel horrible to impose myself on them." she continued as they walked through the dark forest.

A chuckle came to him as he followed behind Sadie before stepping up to be walking beside her. Though minding to not walk into another tree or stumble over any roots this time. He still felt the faint heat of the last time he did. He would never live that one down for as lone as he lives. Shaking his head to clear his mind and returning to the matter at hand.
"My grandfather told it to me when I was little and staying with him and Grandma Adelle. He was always telling me things like that, some of the things I swear he made up most the time." He chuckled again thinking of Shihab. "There was another, but I can't remember what how it went."
Closing an eye in thought, he would try to remember, though he blinked and stepped off to the side before knocking himself silly. Incidentally his sidestep made him bump into Sadie. Though it was a gentle bump, though his head swung a bit this making him plant a sort of 'kiss' on her cheek. Now his face did turn a fire red color as he looked away, ears falling back a little.
"Er... Sorry." He muttered looking back at her from the corner of his eye. She had seen him embarrassed once, he didn't think he could stand a second time, though thanks to the shadows he might be safe this time...

She had stopped walking when he had slipped and now she was frozen in place from the 'accidental' kiss. Her mind raced and was blank at the same time and she was unsure of what to do next. One voice in her head told her to snap at him while another told her it was just an accident. Good thing it was dark for her own face flared a brilliant red. She just stood there shocked for what seemed like forever before she was able to make her mind work again and lungs breath.
"So your g-grandfather told you the saying?" she asked trying to ignore what had happened. Maybe if she did it would go away and save either of them from the embarassment. "He must be a wise one for such a saying as that." she commented again without the stuttering.

Myrrh had stopped as well, looking off to the side, it seemed that both were happy that there were shadows about so that either couldn't see their red faces. Shaking his head he started walking again ears still laying back a little bit. He smiled when things turned to his grandfather. He had to think of the old stallion, he was a wise stallion. Wise in many ways it seemed.
"Yes. He's a very wise Stallion. I hear that he and Grandma have adopted an abandoned foal." He nodded. "I don't know what kind it is, but I hear tell it has more wings then the normal wind like the most of my family." he nodded still walking until then came back to the same clearing that they had met at earlier that day. "Here we are. Back where it all began." Myrrh nodded looking over toward Sadie. "I do hope you have a good evening." he bowed his head.
