Tal tought about it, before replying. "She was a rehome apparently. Her human never came, so neither did she. I partially doubt that though... She could have even a little memory of me or 2 of my siblings... They all got to meet her and seemed to just accept it... Fools..."

Eidel understood why he seemed hostile. But she couldn't help but think it wasn't at all healthy for him. "Does she want to get to know you now?" Eidel realized she was still holding his paws. She glanced down at them and fought back the heat that threatened to show on her cheeks.

Tal shook his head. "I don't think she does at the moment, she seemed pretty overwhelmed when I last saw her. With meeting 2 of my brothers, and then even a few of her grandchildren and all. I mearly left before she could have a chance to want a conversation."

Grandchildren? Eidel thought, the woman has grandchildren and she knows nothing of any of it? Eidel pondered for a moment, thinking hard about her own situation. Nah, she laughed at herself for even thinking it. She returned her full attention back to Tal. "Maybe you should try approaching her when she isn't surrounded by others. Try having some time alone with her." She squeezed his paw lightly. "Then you'll know for sure if she wants to get to know you. If she doesn't, you can always come back to me to make you feel better," she laughed, figuring he most likely would not want to come to her.

Tal thought for a moment. Perhaps his mother could have changed from when he was little. Maybe she might actually care in the least for himself, and if she didn't, he knew he could be comforted by Eidel. Somehow, she was actually managing to make him smile, even if he wasn't showing it. "You know, if I actually see her anytime soon, I just might give her a hello."

Eidel grinned. "Good! I'm sure she will be very pleased. I can't imagine her not absolutely loving you." She let his paws go and took a step back, looking him over. "You've inspired me to go through with something I have been worried about for a while." She tilted her head and looked at him kindly.

Eidel looked at the ground. "It doesn't really matter. Just to give someone I haven't known all my life the chance to get to know me. Pretty much the same sort of situation as you." She looked up at him again. "So, you think you remember all those moves?" she said referring to the dance.

Eidel smiled, his laugh making her feel happy somehow. "I could show you again?" she suggested without moving towards him. "Or we could try something more lively..."

Eidel debates whether or not to put him through the rumba, finally deciding it might make him uncomfortable. "have you heard of the rumba?" she asked casually.
