Lavi dropped the fruit he had been about to throw. "Ummm...Oh--oh crap!" He looked nervously at Marcus and Rynl. "So ummmm...wanna join?"

Rynl was livid. "I can't believe you Lavi!" He screamed, coming in front of Marcus, looking at Lavi as if he were going to kill him, and he wished he could. "You come into this nice mans house, and start a food fight!? What is wrong with you! Now apologize, and start cleaning this up. The entire time Lavi was making the face he usually used to get out of trouble. "No, that 'look at the helpless rabbit' face isn't going to work."

Joachim looked at the newcomer and flew into a rage. Joachim pointed to Marcus. "His house?" He flew right into Rynl's face, yelling. "Its my castle! I own it! I live in it! And I think I can start a food fight with my friend in it if I want! What make you think I want it cleaned up anyway? maybe I like watermelon, flour, and eggs on the walls! Adds texture!" Huffing from his rant Joachim grabbed Lavi's hand and made a dash for the hallway. Marcus sidestepped out of his way.

Marcus, looked at Rynl. "He has a point. While I may hold the deed to the land, Joachim has been here a lot longer than I have, and, he used to run it quite well. The food fights fine though." He picked up a half squished orange. "I'll have the maid clean it up tomorrow. Care to stay for dinner?"

He was still pretty upset with Lavi, but the fact he had actually made a friend (though a troublesome one) outside of his home ebbed his anger, he refused to feel embarrassed for his outburst though."Still no reason to mess up a house." He mumbled, then turned to Marcus. "Sure! But ummm...what are we eating?" The kitchen didn't seem the best place for cooking at that moment, without a severe clean up job.

"Awwww! You took me right as we were gonna fight!" Lavi whined, he enjoyed fighting with the human boy, it always gave him a thrill, since both were on par, Lavi dead or not. Yes Lavi knew the patterns their arguments would take; Lavi would do something stupid, Rynl would yell, and they'd fight, usually leading to property damage. "It was nice of ya though, thanks!" Grinning over at Joachim. He might like having a new friend, one that wasn't stuck up, shy or just plain creepy.

Marcus shrugged. "I have some microwave takeout. Not sure if it will be too good though." Looking at the open fridge, he sighed, walked over the the warming foods and drinks and pulled out a generic soda. "Cup are in the top far right cupboard, pull 3 out please, unless you know your friend want something to drink." He opened the freezer and pulled out a frozen package of blood. "For Joachim." he explained. Setting the thawing blood on the flour covered counter, he pulled from the freezer a package of microwavable takeout. "Serves up to 4." Shrugged, he passed by Rynl and pet the package in the microwave after adding some water to the package per the instructions. "It'll be done in five." he said, realizing he had ignored Rynl for the mot part. "Anything else?"

Joachim smiled back, pulling Lavi towards the stairs. "Marcus knows that this is my house, and I make the rules. Besides, he'll just have a maid clean it up tomorrow." He giggled, a thing that was becoming more frequent for Joachim. "Its almost dinner time. Do you want to stay, or go and haunt the villagers?"

"He'll want a drink too, knowing Lavi." Rynl muttered, knowing his ghostly companions taste for modern food was so great Lavi would even resort to shameless whining and begging just to go to the conventions dedicated to food.(they had oddly become VIPs to these) "So Joachim doesn't drink fresh blood?" He poked the blood sack in wonder.

"Let's eat first, then we can terrorize." Lavi had always wanted terrorize people besides the Bookman successors, they had done the same actions every time a new one saw him, and he was curious to know if the townspeople would react the same ways, or differently.

Marcus smiled. "Joachim can drink, or eat normal food like a human in some ways. He doesn't actually consume the food, he absorbs it. Blood provides basic energy, frozen or fresh. Fresh blood however has an added boost. Becasue its fresh, he gains the powers of the person from their blood. He can also feed by simply being close and absorbing the energy around him." Marcus thought about it. "In theory, he could feed an a large group of people in a small room, and no one would notice until it was too late." He went and began to pour the 3 glasses with water.

Joachim snorted. "Marcus 'll give me the usual, frozen blood. I like hunting for my meals, not thawing them. But if you insist..." Joachim floated casually to the library. "We eat in here typically. Want a book while we wait?" Joachim scanned the large massive shelves. "We have a large verity of books, some, we don't even read or use."

Lavi felt a bit disappointed. He had already read these books when he was alive! He held back the whine, looking for at least one book he liked. "We....could now, they won't miss us for awhile I guess." He brought up the subject of sneaking into town again once he became bored.

"Sounds pretty cool." He needed garlic, vampires didn't like garlic right? It was the typical vampire part itself that intrigued Rynl, it did scare him though, no, it was the fact a ghost could absorb a persons power through their blood. He had to wonder just what Joachim could do.

Joachim sensed Lavi disappointment. "Most of the books are in storage or locked away. Marcus feels that to keep them in reach of..unintelligent hands would be bad. One book, supposedly, is Dr. Frankenstein's Diary. PFFT. If you believe that. The Best book we have, at least the best one I like, is Swift's 'Gulliver's Travels' hand copied by the author himself. Satire has always been a favorite of mine. Anyway, the village. The best place to go is the town hall at this time, all the villages gather there for a meeting each night." He giggled thinking of his mischief.

Marcus could tell Rynl wasn't calm about the facts regarding how Joachim feed. "He won't feed off of you. He has his manners. If he feeds on anyone it would be a villager. he doesn't like them very much. After all, if someone tried to exorcise you from your home, you'd not like them very much would you?"

Dr. Franken!?steins journal!? The hand written original Gulliver's travels!? Lavi knew that if he were alive, he probably would have fainted from the shock of such valuable things being in one location. He set that information aside for later, in the mood for pranking now. "This should be good then, a vampire and a pyro!" He snickered, pyro was what Rynl called him, even though he agreed the ability was useful.

"I know Lavi doesn't." The ghost had told him that a number of the bookman before him had attempted to send him off more than once, after they figured out he was there anyway. "And i'm glad I never tried. Lavi has a habit of sending his own attackers off to the next world. Once they die I mean."

Joachim shuddered at the thought of fire. 'Just try not burn me okay?" He stuck his head out of the window. "Marcus and Rynl are still back there. Lets hurry!" He shot off towards the front door, not waiting for Lavi. "Hurry up!"

Marcus shrugged. Joachim already told me if I die, he gets to drink the last of my lifeblood. Its a kinda creepy thought. However, Joachim is pretty clean with his kills. At least when he does kill. Anyway, I'd rather have a freind kill me than a total stranger.

"When I die...it will be by the hands of the one I trust the most." And that would be Lavi, he silently added. Death was something the bookman clan took lightly, never expressing their sorrow, or fears and regrets, why would you when you grew to have none?

"Okay okay!" Man Joachim was impatient. Lavi guessed he was probably under watch and couldn't leave most of the time. It would be worth the trouble th two would probably be in though, to cause some mischief.

Marcus understood the implications Rynl had spoken. It was both sobering, yet, relieving as well to know who would kill you and let you die. "On a brighter note, I don't intend to die until I've found the woman of my dream. I mean, I don't want die with out an heir." Marcus laughed. "Come on then, lets eat shall we?" Picking up the tray of food and various drinks he headed off the the library.

Joachim grinned, bearing fangs as Lavi caught up to him at the main gate. "The village, as you know, is down the hill. The town hall however, is located on the forest's edge. It will be the one with the most lights on, and the most noisy as well." Joachim began to float slowly in the shadows. "We have to be careful. The Night watch doesn't take kindly to..intruders."

"I have plenty of time to find one of my own. Though it would be better to find one sooner rather than later wouldn't it? He thought. Rynl followed Marcus, the food looking good despite being a quick fix.

"And that's what makes them so fun." Lavi had done this a few times, teasing the guards as a distraction was one of his many self proclaimed specialties. He looked around for a building with many lights, finally seeing one he pointed. "That it?"

Marcus laughed as hewalked down the hall. "Haha! Thats the spirit. Go out and woo the ladies young, you never know when they might turn on you. Here we are." Opening the door Marcus peered around the room. "Oh, I guess Joachim must have run off. Oh well, less distractions." Humming Marcus set the table.

Joachim's laughed mimicked Marcus's. "I know. God, It will be great. I can'r wait. That 's it. Now how do you think we should enter? By the main door? From the chimney? The attic? The celler?" Joachim spun, giddy. "HAHA. This is be great fun."

"Let's attack from two ends." Lavi laughed as well, though it sounded just a tad evil. "One of us can enter from one direction, and the other can enter from another direction, it doesn't matter where."

"Well, I do have plenty of time to find myself a nice girl, I figure I can have a bit of fun before then." Rynl, ever the actor, knew when to keep his big mouth shut on saying a few clan traditions, one of which involved no personal attachments, the second was choosing an heir he thought best suited for it. Looking around, he noticed Lavi wasn't around either. "And I don't see Lavi. Oh well, it'll be less noisy."
