Its been about five days since the fight. Magmapaw started a good recovery, and was able to have a warrior ceremony on time, as did Driftpaw. Now they are Magmafang and Drifttail, but the same cannot be said for Wildpaw, where ever he is. Patrols have searched as best they could, but none of the Shadowclan cats specialize in tracking. At least, warrior wise. Magmafang is still recovering, but is almost fully healed. Hes strong built and heathly, which gave him a fast recovery. But a sadness had hung over the warrior ceremony for two of Spottedheart's kits, the parents proud and heartbroken that one of their sons were gone. Only a true tracker could find Wildpaw now...

Spiritpaw lounged quietly outside of the apprentice den, pondering what would happen within the next few days. His warrior cermony would be quite soon, though not many would guess it due to the fact he wasnt that big. Toadpaw had grown strong, and Marshpaw was sleek bodied long legged cat now. And Applepaw was a beautiful young adult now with glowing fur. spiritpaw was still...small. He black eyes were as cold as they were colored. He remembered stories of Tagerstar, and how he had defeated by a cat named Scourge. Some elders, even though they had not been around then, estimated Spiritpaw to be about Scourge's size. But Spiritpaw's specialty was tracking, yet it had not been recognized. The other apprentices though knew that tracking was his greates asset.

Magmafang lay outside the warriors den, Wildpaw on his mind.
After the incident, he decided he needed to change. He needed to stop insulting others so much and focus more on how he can be a better warrior.
What could have happened to Wildpaw? The more he thought about his brother, the more he thought the worst. What if he was hit by a monster? What if he was eaten by badgers? Each time he thought those thoughts, he would mutter, "No, we would've found traces..." But he still couldn't help it, especially since he felt so guilty about everything.
He wanted to find Wildpaw so badly, but he wasn't a good tracker. It seemed no warrior was.
Although... he once overheard some apprentices talking about how Spiritpaw was a good tracker. He looked over at the small apprentice that was lounging outside the apprentice den.
Desperate to try anything, he walked over to Spiritpaw. "Hey, are you a good tracker?"

"You should remember, seeing as how you were in this den not to long ago," Spiritpaw meowed curtly, and rose, stretching. "Yes. I have a talent for tracking. You wish for me to help track Wildpaw, right? Or at least, thats what I'd assume." Spiritpaw brushed som dirt from his white pelt, and stared at Magmafang. Not long from now, Spiritpaw would be a warrior too.

"Yeah, that's right," Magmafang replied. "Will you do it?"
He didn't know Spiritpaw too well and was a bit worried that refuse. But what other option did he have if he wanted to find Wildpaw?

"Since you're the only cat to ask, sure. But keep up when I'm tracking, and please dont qestion what I'm doing. It'll only take longer if you do," Spiritpaw meowed, then peeked around the quiet camp. Cats seemed slightly downcast at the lost of a fellow clanmate, so surely none would notice them slip out of camp.
"Take me to where the fight happened. We'll start there."

Magmafang brightened and he had a small hope that he would finally find his brother.
He nodded and led the way to the training area where the fight had taken place. When he got there, he noticed how peaceful it looked. Not at all like it had been during the fight.
He turned to look at Spiritpaw. "This is the place."

Spiritpaw went immediatley about his work, sniffing the loose gritty ground of the training area carefully. Right now, there was no need of expert tracking sice the blood trail still remained. He tantavley licked the dried blood a couple of times, narrowing his eyes as this gave a much stonger sense of Wildpaw's scent. Spiritpaw flicked his tail for Magmafang to follow, and bunded off, ging carefulkly along the blood trail, led by a faint now, but concentrated scent. He stopped by a small area with mud puddles and fllowed the blood to a puddle near the surrounding foliage. He sniffed the blood, then mud, tasting the mud, then spitting it out.
"This mud has a slight tang of blood in it. Wildpaw stopped here and rolled in the mud to hide his scent and cover his wounds. He did not wish to be followed. By following the specific trace of this mud's scent, aswell as surveying the enviroment, we should be able to find Wildpaw by nightfall. Magmafang, as to not destoy his trail, I request to make sure you dont, that you keep behind me. And do not question any commands I give, please. If you defey me, we could easily be caught. Any older warrior would want to know what a young adult like yourself is doing scuffling around at the border's of ShadowClan territory."
Spiritpaw did not look back, but lifted his head, and scented the air carefully as he awaited a reply.

Magmafang narrowed his eyes at Spiritpaw's ways, but he didn't say anything. He wasn't the one who was a great tracker.
He was happy to hear that they could find Wildpaw by nightfall, but he wasn't sure how true that was.
"Alright," he replied and made sure to stay behind Spiritpaw.

"Good. Keep an eye out for patrols also if you can, I'll focus on your brothers trail," Spiritpaw meowed, sniffing out the specific tang of the mud's scent, he followed along the ground. They left the small claering of mud puddles and went into some thick leafy foliage. Spiritpaw paused as the scent would be hard to find with all the overwhelming scents of herbs and plants, so he let open his jaw to scent as his eyes began to rove around his as he followed small traces of the mud scent into the greenery. He paused when he saw some clumpsof dirt on the ground, and carfully slid one claw out and picked the dirt away from a few strands of fur. He sniffed very carefully, licked lightly, spat, and continued, seeing some more dirt clumps along the way. He paused by some broken fern fronds, observing the broken area.
"The sap from the frond is dried. This frond had to have been broken at least three days ago. Wildpaw went this way, and he was tired and fatigued as he became clumsy at hiding his trail. Come."
spiritpaw pressed on, through the greenery, then thy met brambles.
"The Shadowclan border is not far from here. soon we leave Shadowclan territory..." He stopped, and heard ctas coming through the undergrowth. He flicked his tail to Magmafang and shot up a nearby tree.

Magmafang ducked under a bush, making sure to keep low to the ground. He could just barely see through the branches a group of cats. Probably a border patrol. After all, they were near the border...
He waited for the group to pass, worried that they might see him or Spiritpaw. Finally they passed, and he cautiously crept out and looked around for Spiritpaw.

Spiritpaw climbed nimbly down the tree, and peered about cautiously.
"They're gone...good. C'mon, we need to keep going," spiritpaw meowed, weaving skillfully into the brambles. He stopped, and found a tuft of fur stuck to some spines on the bmables, and found a lot of broken peices too.
"Wildpaw, being of strong build and large size would have had the spines ripping at his mud caked fur, and had a hard time getting through, s'mon, this is the edge of the border." Spiritpaw slipped out of the brambles and gazed at the fields that met him. slightly marshy, with some puddles on it, but short grass. Then, there was tall grass farther off, and it formed into a thick forboding forest.

Magmafang followed Spiritpaw through the brambles, trying not to yowl as the sharp thorns pricked him.
He gazed out at the fields. So Wildpaw is somewhere out there?
He waited, somewhat impatiently, for Spiritpaw's next move.

Spiritpaw's tail twitched, his eyes noting the position in the sky, he gave a satisfactory grunt. His predicion would prove true, because they were getting closer. Spiritpaw sniffed carefully, then bounded down the slope and into the field. He continued rather quickly, finding it much easier to follow the trail on this terrain, where the scent is not masked as easily. The scent was faint, but his nose detected it due to its training.
