Yuki was starting to feel less and less sympathetic towards him. She rolled her eyes a few times, trying to remind herself that he was just being a big crybaby and not trying to fix his problems. She could hear arthion in the back of her mind, reminding him that he was just stressed from being inadequite for so long and that she shouldn't be so angry with him.
"... Yes, and your also the first person able to spot someone doing a shunpo. And learning Chakra points isn't that hard, your just too lazy to find a good book. And if your so worried about being weak, then shut up and work on it.... For starters, pressure points..."
She let go of her shikai at that point. Laying her Zanpacto beside her, she leaned over Fefnir and poked by his collar bone, near his armpit, and at the base of his wrist, some more common pressure points. He would feel a quick jolt of discomfort at most since she hadn't poked him too hard.

Fefnir felt a little jolt of pain through his arm, and he quickly yanked it away from Yuki. "...You just don't get it..." He said slowly. Fefnir rolled away from his old teacher and on to his stomach. With much effort, he pushed himself up onto his knees, then he brought himself up on to his feet. Fefnir sheathed his zanpokuto slowly, then put the tip of the sheath down on the ground as an aid. He slowly limped away, more than a little discontent about the way his talk with Yuki had gone, but he forced himself to stay quiet. If she refused to understand, he wouldn't pursue the issue any further.

Yuki wasn't done with Fefnir by a long shot. Of corse she didn't understand, he was being an unreasonable p***k who wanted nothing more than to be the most powerful idiot on the face of the earth. She stood up and ran towards him, swatting his blade away and pulling his arm over her shoulder so she could drag his a** to safety.
"Well what do you want me to tell you?... 'Oh, poor Fefnir, the captain who isn't the most powerful man in the universe?'"
She demanded. Making it sound like he was throwing a hissy fit over nothing.

Fefnir started to struggle as soon as Yuki grabbed his arm, but was unsuccessful in his attempts to escape her grasp. Fefnir just let himself be half carried, half dragged after that. "It's not like that at all...." He said quietly in Yuki's ear, "I just want something to make me stand out, that's all. In a group of powerful people, how do you stand out? You become stronger than all of them. For me, however, that's a pipedream. I can never hope to be as good as any one of the captains... You make it seem like I expect all of this to be immediate, and I don't. I want to reach the level you're at as soon as possible, but immediately is unrealistic, and even in a thousand years, I'd never be as good as you are now. It's just... It's so frustrating,"

He was so frustrating. How could he live with himself if he viewed everyone else as godly creatures who where just so much better simply because they deemed themselves so. Yuki knew she had an ego, but it wasn't that big. No way was she amazing just because she woke up one day and said so.
"Well, lets see... Your the only one I know who can find people shunpoing.... Your the only one I know who can catch me.... And your zanpacto is nearly identical to mine, so I don't see how your so pessimistic about becoming as powerful as me."
She said, almost through gritted teeth, trying to be helpful and failing. Arthion was in the background giving her a much better script to go off of, but she couldn't bring herself down to such a caring level. Hell, Fefnir was lucky he was getting this much.

Fefnir was about to say something negative yet again when he stopped himself. The only one? He thought. "I'm... I'm the only one who ever caught you?" Fefnir said, taken aback by this fact, "You can't be serious. I didn't even go to my True Shukuchi... And other people can't see someone when they shunpo? I didn't know that..." Despite his anger at Yuki for being unable to understand the position he was in, he was glad she'd said that, since he never realized what he had been able to do that others couldn't. "I... I guess you're right. I should be more thankful that everyone thought I was the best for the fulfillment of this position. Maybe I'm not there yet, but you all must have seen something in me, I guess,"

Yuki was nearly biting her toung to stave off all the criticism filling her mind. He just didn't understand that what he had done was make an entirely new move that allowed you to see what everyone else was blind to. And he was totally oblivious to the fact? She could have slapped him for being so stupid, but Arthion in the back of her mind was telling her to play nice and keep quiet.
"Nnn, Just shut up already you stupid dragon..."
She muttered to herself as she walked Fefnir, hitting her forehead as if that would keep him quiet. She tried to keep it so only she could hear it, but feared she might have been a little louder than intended.

Fefnir was again on the brink of passing out. He wasn't sure why at this point, but he knew that he only had a little more energy to spend. "I guess, it doesn't really matter what they all they think, in the end," Fefnir mused, more to himself than Yuki. Then, he turned his head a little to look at her a little better and, panting lightly, said, "Are you... are you proud of me? Are you... proud that... that I can do that?"

She could hear Arthion screaming in her ear, telling her to say yes with all his might. He knew that Yuki would crush his hopes and dreams if she said anything else, but the truth was that she was a little indifferent. Wile he was her VC, she was proud of everything he did, now that he was captain, he was another opsticle in her path. She felt it just then, Arthion pushing his way to her consciousness, now she knew how Nagi felt being possessed by Tenchi. She ground her teeth violently before Arthion managed to speak for her.
"Yes... I've always been proud of you."
In the background Yuki was screaming her lungs off trying to tell Arthion to stuff it and get back where he belonged.

Fefnir sighed deeply, his breath becoming more and more labored. His eyes were going in and out of focus, and he could barely manage to string two thoughts together through his panting, "I.... I'm.......... glad...." was all he could manage to say as he quietly drifted out of consciousness. Fefnir's body lay limp on Yuki as she carried him through the forest, a contented smile on his face.

How long had they told him it had been? He didn't want to believe it, but they had told him it was three months. Three months? Was he so weak that exposure to the reiatsu of the Espada was enough to poison his body and render him comatose for three months? At least, that's what they described it to him as. 'Reiatsu Poisoning', they called it. Before he had been able to release his Shikai, Zhen had been exposed to the enemy's vast reiatsu for too long, and it had permeated his body and effectively poisoned him. It was apparently so strong that the 4th Squad healers had only been able to stabilize him while his own body took care of expelling the rest. Had that really taken three long months? What had he missed? What had happened during his debilitation? More importantly, how had he been able to come out of it alive?
Here he sat. Zhen was perched atop a large rock in the Endless Forest, legs crossed, his Zanpakutou unsheathed and resting across his lap. One hand on the hilt and one hand on the blade, his eyes were closed and his mind was focused. There were a few people he hadn't been able to talk to for those three months, and he was sure there was one in particular who was bored out of his scarred old shell.
Thunk! Went the cane on Zhen's forehead as soon as the communion between him and Onbankenkame had been established. "Ow! What was that for?!" He cried, rubbing his forehead, glaring at the snapping turtle before him. "Happen every time, that will. Learn to dodge." The reptile spoke in his odd dialect. "But why'd you hit me?" Zhen almost whined. The turtle quickly pointed the dull end of its cane in Zhen's face. "Three months, I waited. Three months, you were sick." The turtle snapped. No longer rubbing his forehead, Zhen sat down so he could be of equal height with the turtle. "Yeah, so?" He returned at the turtle's remark. Thunk! "Ow! Would you stop doing that?!" Kame thrust his cane in Zhen's face again. "Put it simply, I will. I was bored. No good without its master, a sword is. Spirit or no, just another useless piece of metal with no one to wield it, it is." In that light, Zhen's expression softened a little. The grizzled old turtle had an odd way of showing it, but he could tell that it cared. "I'm sorry, Onbankenkame—" Zhen was interrupted by the turtle waving off the name with one of his roughly-skinned arms. "Too long, that name. 'Kame', you may call me. Continue." Picking up where he left off, Zhen spoke again. "—Kame, I'm sorry for making you wait so long. Although, come to think of it, this is only my second time speaking with you." Kame rested both of his arms on the top of his cane, some of the hardness disappearing from his face. "Last time, it will not be. Shinigami are only as strong as the bond with their blade, they have. Remember this." With that cryptic closing statement, Kame and his beach faded to black...
|| If there's any issue with this explanation for my absence, let me know. On that note, dreadfully sorry for the unexplained and sudden absence. Real life issues occurred. ||

Hyro had wandered about for hours until he wandered aimlessly over to the edge of the woods. Something, peaceful, oozed from the trees themselves and that peace sort of, called to him. So irrestibly Hyronai waltzed into the woods and decided to lose himself.
With his zanpakuto close he walked meanderingly between the large tree bases and the leaf littered ground. His head turned in all directions and his eyes darted about as he observed his new and unfamiliar surroundings. "This must be the infamous forest", he thought aloud. Something about this forest seemed menacing and ominous and that eerie feeling the forest gave off drew Hyronai even deeper into the thick of foliage.

As he walked deeper into the forest the land scape remained the same giving one the feeling that they were walking in circles. The trees remained relatively the same distance apart and the light that shone through the branchs always held the same intensity. Losing himself in this forest didn't seem like that much of an issue, his surroundings seemed to bring him and odd feeling of content and peace of mind, something he could get very used to.

Hyro had peacefully walked about for hours but now, he reached a small clearing the would be perfect for training. He rushed through the trees picking up speed as he went and then, Hyro burst through the pine and evergreen branchs into a small (very small) meadow.
Hyronai ran into the dead center of the clearing and looked about. He apparently stood in the middle of a small meadow full of wild flowers and grasses. It was surrounded and protected by a thick line of tall trees. The area itself was small for so much rare growth but it was still astounding all the same.
After minutes of standing and looking Hyro fell onto his back and layed amoungst the thick ankle high grasses. As he lay he heard smalled field mice as well as many other small creatures scury about through the plethera of flowers. Gradually his eye lids began to grow heavy and soon they slid shut with an imaginary thump that resounded through his head. Hyro could feel the warmth of the fading sunlight as he dosed off in the meadow and soon he lost track of time.
