"Damnit! Mother f--" There went another chain of foul language from Kayla's mouth when Albireo rolled away from the Thunder in mere milliseconds from getting fried.
Kayla's grip on the railing tightened with frustration. Adira was also feeling it too, for she growled menicingly. A move like that should never miss but alas, it did and they had to move on.
Now with the dewgong covered in dirt, it would be harder to fry it but it was still a ice pokemon and dirt won't save it much.
When the dewgong released another Water Pulse, Kayla did not want Adira to take it again so soon after the first time. It would exhuast her too much.
"Dodge it, Adira and use Thunder again!" Kayla shouted.
This time, Adira didn't acknowledge Kayla's command but did it as if she had thought of it herself.
Every pulse that was flinged at her, she weaved this way and that, missing by a few inches. When the last pulse missed as welll, Adira used the water that was all over the graveyard ground and send another Thunder towards the dewgong and this time she will not miss!Quote: Grinch - 500/800 Adira - 650/800 Quintrell - 0/800

Luna assesed the situation. The thunder would be hard to dodge a second time"Well, let's just go straight through it for now Albireo. Aqua jet!"
Albireo gave a bark before spitting out water into the air that soon coated around him. He then shot towards the cranidos, leaving a watery trail behind him.
"Deeeeeeeew!" The dewgong shouted, his tongue sticking out of his mouth with a dorky expression on his face. This was fun!
Then, the electric shock came. Albireo felt his whole body go tingly. It was quite strange. But even though his body was numb, his will controlling the water around his body kept him going towards the cranidos.

Kayla's smirk was soon wiped away off her face when the dewgong released an attack way before the Thunder got a chance to hit.
Kayla had to save Adira! She hates water and this would seriously affect her chances of fighting Luna's last pokemon if she let Adira continue. As much as Adira would hate it, she would need to come back and get a second chance at dewgong later.
"Quick! Return, Adira!" Kayla shouted, holding Adira's pokeball to be claimed.
Adira was still fixed on dewgong and the Aqua jet to fight off the callback of the pokeball and returned safely, unharmed.
Kayla then, grabbed Grinch's pokeball and released him into the playing field.
"Go, Grinch!"
Grinch came back in, ready to fight again. He was even aware that he was going to help Adira by taking the attack. He didn't have much time to dodge it and took the full force of the attack, sending him back several yards, soaking wet and hating it.Quote: Grinch - 300/500 Adira - 650/800 Quintrell - 0/800

"Switching won't save you~" Luna chimed cheerfully. "It just gives me more time to attack! Aurora beam!"
Albireo barked, his fur wet. He loved the water. Albireo shook his wet fur, splattering MORE water everywhere. This included Luna's face and clothes. The trainer looked at her wet clothes.
"Darn...I keep on getting wet these days..." The trainer murmured to herself. Albireo, on the other hand, was as happy as could be and charged up a rainbow colored light on his horn. This light turned into a full out beam in a matter of seconds, rushing its way towards the shiny cubone.
"Seeeeeeeeeeeel!"

Kayla fears came true when Albireo released an Aurora beam. The bright rainbow beam aimed straight at Grinch and he could not get away completely.
With that kind of force, it knocked Grinch completely off the ground and the pressure of it sent Grinch across the field, slamming into the base of the platform.
"Grinch! No!" Kayla exclaimed.
She had half an urge to rush down and help but knew that if she did, she would automatically forfeit the match.
Kayla didn't really pay much attention to the other trainer's problems of getting wet but was worried about Grinch.
Fortunately, Grinch struggled to get up but managed it anyway. Almost totally exhuasted.
"You think you can go at it one more time, boy?" Kayla asked in a worried tone.
"Cubone." Grinch nodded but weakly.
"Alright then. Let's give them something they will not forget! Use Ice Beam!"
Grinch open its mouth real wide and a icy ball of light started to form in the mouth. With so much energy at it's near end, it took a little time but enough pressure and force formed and Grinch released the beam of ice. Maybe this can stall. They could only hope. Albireo tilted his head, hearing the move he was ordered to do many times. He knew that human word! "De-" Albireo was shot in the face with the icebeam.
Luna could not hold back a small giggle. Albireo looked quite hilarous, frozen mid head tilt with his eyes blank and his tongue sticking out.
"Very nice Albireo."
Albireo's tail wiggled. No on eknew if it was out of frustration or just happy that it's trainer complimented him...even though it was sarcastic.

Kayla was shocked that it worked! Maybe that should do it again but the likelihood if it working was slim at best. Well there's little choice really. If they want a chance at beating one of Luna's Pokemon, Grinch would have to stall as long as possible.
"Use Ice Beam again!"

The ice on Albireo's face soon cracked and the dewgong shook his head to loosen the rest of the ice. More cracks appeared before the ice shattered.
"Deeeeeeeew!" He said, wiggling in happyness because he could breathe again. Well, at least he could until another ice beam hit him in the face again. His face was frozen in an open mouth position, looking quite dorky.
Luna could not resist cracking up again. In fact, she laughed so hard, her sides were starting to hurt. "Al...hahe...." The trainer was in a mess of giggles.

Kayla just shook her head in dismay. This isn't working out. They can't keep doing this and having the dewgong breaking through the ice beam in the next turn.
Wait! There is one attack that might do the trick! It's risky as the Ice beam but it just might work!
"Grinch, use Rock Climb!" Kayla ordered.
Grinch looked back in slight confusion but did as he was told. Grinch turned his back towards dewgong and started to dig, sending dirt, rocks, boulders behind him that piled up into a mountain size....well moutain.

Albireo shook off the ice again from his head, letting a bit of a whine this time. He did not like his face being cold and unable to breathe!
Meanwhile, Luna was now calming her laughing urge. She took a deep breath to stop completely. The trainer was back into battle mode.
The dewgong looked at the big pile of rubble that the cubone had created. It was like a big cake! He looked up, seeing the cubone. Albireo waved with his right flipper.
Luna broke out a small chuckle, temporarily snaping her out of serious mode. She wasn't very good at being serious. The trainer pulled herself together as quick as possibly to order one last attack. "Aurora beam!"
"Deeeeeeeeew!"
Albireo's horn glowed once more, shooting a beam of light upwards towards the cubone.

Kayla knew it was way too good to be true. The rock climb did not work to her advantage and now they are in a world of trouble. Even Grinch knew it, for he had his shoulders slumped but he defiantly looked at Albireo as he made his final move.
The rainbow beam sent Grinch flying again and this time when he landed, he could no longer get up.
Kayla sighed in defeat as she grabbed his pokeball and claimed him back to safety.
"You did wonderful, Grinch. Take a good long rest."
She placed the ball back where it was and got out her last pokemon, Adira. She would be glad, at least, that she was the last to remain in battle and will fight until she can fight no more.
"Go, Adira!"
A blue beam of light came out of the pokeball and formed a cranidos onto the graveyard field. Adira continue to glare daggers at Albireo as if she had never left.
"This is it, Adira. You are my only chance now."

"Yeah!" Luna cheered, one hand on the rail and one clutched in a fist of victory. Two down, one more to go. She was close to winning this three on three.
Albireo barked cheerfully. He won! More food for him! The dewgong gave another tail wiggle.
"Okay Albireo, let's go with another water pulse!"
Albireo gave another bark before shooting out a ring of water at the Cranidos once again.

Adira prepared herself as she waited for Kayla's commands when the water pulse started to come.
"Just take it, Adira! We can't aviod it forever!"
"Dos!" Adira replied as she stood firmly where she was and gripped the ground as much as she could with her hindlegs.
When the first pulse arrived, she attempted to hold them back like before, wincing and panting like she was in pain with every hit of the water pulse.
Again and again it came and hit Adira.
After it was over, Adira was panting and weakened quite a bit.
"You alright?" Kayla worried. It was alot for her to ask Adira to just take those hits like that.
Adira nodded as she panted heavily.
"Alright! Let's use Thunder!"
Adira roared as sparks from the spikes formed and created a electric ball at the bulbs of her head. It wasn't long before it shot at the dewgong.Quote: Grinch - 0/800 Adira - 350/800 Quintrell - 0/800

'Another electric move...' the trainer thought to herself while watching the electricity form above Adira's head. She knew that it wasn't one of those attacks Albireo could simply run headfirst into like they did when they started battling. They would have to get around it...or over it. "Aqua jet Albireo!"
Albireo was soon engulfed in water once more. The dewgong wiggled in his water bubble in glee, a bit ignorant of the ball of thunder that was coming away. He liked the water more.
Luna let out a small sigh and couldn't help but crack a smile at Albireo's antics. But now was not the time. "Jump over that thunder Albireo!"
"DeeeeeeeeEEEEEL!"
Albireo jumped off the ground and above the thunderbolt using the propulsion power of the aqua jet attack. He flailed his arms around in the air. "4|V| |=1u1?|9!" He yelled (in pokemon language) before divebombing down at Adira.
